to sleep under the night bleeding a million stars is what i desire.
this is not possible.
the clouds blister away by the wind and so do my cutains, revealing a silver, shining moon, sliced into a crescent. it seems so touchable, the moon, like with a reach of my fingers i could hold it, cradle it and shush it like a baby.
that which is not possible for me.
i see a girl, eyes twinkling and teeth shining. a slow river of black falls down her back and she dances like the wind, fierce yet gentle in her movement.
i wonder why i can't dance like that.
i open my window, which has been pushed behind my bed and dusted many a-time.
"who are you?" i call out.
"nothing but a dreamer," she replies, her voice like silk.
"can't i dream, too?"
