A month has passed and here I am, getting used of the works here and coping up with my studies. Happy and contended. A well-adjusted cadet perhaps.
I remembered the times when we had a party at the starboard side of our ship, picnic mayhap. It was happy and cool. Chief cook was roasting a chicken and porkchop over the burning charcoal while Catering boy was giving coke and beer to all of us. Chatting, singing and eating together. Pancit of Captain Cariño was tasty and the best part was when they opened the ice cream box. I love ice cream. I ate alot since Captain Cariño and Chief Engineer gave me an extra ice cream. How can I say no to the cold and creamy vanilla and strawberry flavored ice cream!?
Crew members here were truly friendly and kind such as A.B. Randy Acasio, O.S. Jaime Cabdoverde, Oiler Danilo Dominguez and A.B. Richard Alagon (my duty partner). Randy was a funny and a naughty man while Jaime was a good worker (hardworking and kind). Danilo Dominguez ,also known as Diwata, gave me alot of foods and things for he will disembark soon.
Seeing the beautiful yellow-orange sunrise gives me hope. The darkness falls and the bright yellow star arises like a sunflower that blooms in the midst of thorns. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
