"You wouldn't believe what I just heard today. I actually heard someone singing in the bathrooms. It was afterschool so they probably thought no one was listening, but man were they wrong because I felt like I was at some sort of concert"
May was walking down the beige hallway on her way out of school. She had just left softball tryouts, although it didn't go well she still had hopes she'd make it.
The sun was just starting to set causing the hallway to burst into nearly blinding light, but this didn't bother May too much as something had caught her attention. She heard a faint voice coming from the girls bathroom around the corner. Completely forgetting she had to be home soon May decided to get closer so she could listen.
The girls voice was heavenly as it echoed from the bathroom into the hall. The bathroom provided a magical echo to her voice as if there were multiple of herself singing.
May recognized the song and started humming softly along as she rocked back and forth, like in a trance. She didn't notice when the singing suddenly stopped. The girl inside had most likely heard something and got spooked.
Although May wasn't one to hold back praise over something so beautiful she knew this would be an awkward situation for both of them, so she decided to walk away fastly, with a blush on her face.
If May regretted anything it was not at least finding out what the girl looked like. It looks like her friends were right about her falling too fast and too hard.
