The elves went back to their damaged houses and began cleaning up and fixing their things. King Ethrion, Lael and Serena went back to the castle. Serena was back in her room until she remembered that Ascott was sick this day. She was lying on her bed and remembered about Ascott. She stood up and went out to look for Ascott's house. She has no idea where Ascott's house is but she bets that Alastor knows where she is.
While she was looking for Alastor, she met Alan along the way. "Hi, Alan." she said smiling.
"Hi, Serena. Are you going to ask me to go to your brother and give him a letter and some food?" Alan asked.
She chuckled.
"Your funny. Anyway I was just asking if you by any chance saw Alastor?"
"I think he's in Ascott's house."
"Where is it?"
"Just walk straight and you'll see a house with so many plants. That'll be the only house that has a lot of plants."
"Oh, thanks."
Alan left but when he was walking he just thought of something. Alastor is inside his sister's house. He just walked straight and tried not to think about it until it's really bothering him. He knows that it has been a long time since he has not been talking to his sister. But after what Alastor told him, he thought that maybe it's time for Ascott and him to go back to their happy life like before. He stopped and turned around to catch-up with Serena.
"Why are you walking with me?"
"I'm going to see my sister."
"After all these years you're going to talk to her? Why all of a sudden?"
"Alastor talked to me and told me that Ascott needs me. I thought that perhaps he is right."
"What happened that made you stop talking to each other?"
"Before, Ascott and I always fight like kids especially when our parents died until we ended up saying that we don't need each other. After that we avoided each other for so many years."
"I see. It's a good thing that you both will be seeing each other."
"I guess you are right."
They stopped in front of a house with many different types of plants.
"Why does she have so many plants?"
"I don't know. I think it is her hobby to grow plants."
Serena and Alan went in front of the door. Alan was a little bit nervous. Serena looked at him to see if he wants to knock on the door. Alan didn't doing anything so Serena knocked on the door.
Alastor opened the door.
"Is she feeling okay?" Serena asked
"Yes, she's fine. Lady Edna healed her." Alastor said.
Alastor looked at Alan who was beside Serena. Alastor was feeling a little weird with Alan seeing him inside Ascott's house. Alan might be thinking that he's doing something to Ascott but he knows for himself that he doesn't have any feelings for Ascott. He's just being a good friend.
"Hi," Alastor said to Alan.
"Hi,"
Alastor let Alan and Serena inside the house.
"Ascott, your brother is here." Alastor shouted.
"What? He's here?" Ascott said.
"Yes, he is here with me." Alastor said.
Alan was looking at Alastor like he's is a stranger but he really doesn't mean anything by it. Sometimes Alan just looks at someone in a serious way even if there's nothing to look serious about.
Ascott hurriedly went down from the second floor. She was surprised to see her brother. Ascott was really happy that her brother doesn't think like she doesn't exist anymore.
"Alan, you're here." Ascott said.
"I'm here."
Ascott ran to her brother and hugged him so tight as if she doesn't want to let go of him.
"I miss you so much. I'm sorry about what I said a long time ago."
"I'm sorry too." Alan said hugging Ascott back.
While Alan and Ascott were hugging each other, Alastor wanted to join them but Alan pushed him away and continued hugging his little sister. Alastor stepped back. When they stopped hugging, they continued talking. Serena was really touched about them hugging until she remembered the hug she had with Adamar when they were sitting on the bench in front of their house. She suddenly remembered about Adamar. The last time she saw him was when she was helping her father.
"Have you seen Adamar?" Serena asked Alastor
"I thought he's with you."
Then Serena kept thinking.
"I need to leave. I need to check where Adamar is." Serena said then she went out of the house.
Firstly, she went to Adamar's house but there was no sign of him. She went to the big circle and he was not there either. She looked in other places but can't find Adamar. She decided to go to see Lael.
She found Lael at King Ethrion's place checking something. King Ethrion was sitting on the throne. Marissa was helping Lael with what he's doing. Lael glanced at Serena when she was going near to him.
"Brother have you by any chance seen Adamar. I was looking everywhere and I can't see him." Serena said.
"I'm actually checking if all the elves are here and alive. This Adamar guy is missing. I have ordered guards to find Adamar but can't find him." Lael said.
"He's missing? But how?" Serena said worriedly.
"We don't know. First, it's possible that he left the kingdom or..." Lael doesn't want to continue
"Or what? Tell me."
"Calm down, Serena." King Ethrion said going down the throne.
"Or was kidnapped." Lael said.
"What? Kidnapped? That's not possible because..." Serena thought of it. She was thinking that Adamar could have been kidnapped by the right hand of the Phoenix Lord because they want her.
"Why?" King Ethrion asked.
"Almog kidnapped Adamar." Serena looked at Lael and King Ethrion.
"What? How was that possible? Why would they kidnap Adamar?"
"It's because they want me. "
"Why would they want you?"
"Almog wants me to come with him for some reason."
"What reason is it?" Marissa asked.
"It's because Serena is the granddaughter of Lord Varardras." King Ethrion said.
"How was that possible?" Marissa asked.
"Oh...it's because of...okay. But Serena you can't go there to just give what they want and set Adamar free." Lael said.
"Then we save him. I won't give anything to them."
"It's too dangerous! You know that, right?"
"You need me too. I want to go. I promise I won't get hurt."
"It's okay, Lael. I believe that she can protect herself. If she can protect others then she can protect herself too." King Ethrion said.
Lael thought of it for a while. King Ethrion was right Serena has saved the whole kingdom from the gorts with one power she used. What could possibly go wrong if she comes with him?
"Fine. We will go together including Marissa." Lael said.
"Thank you,"
"Also, you will be needing Sebastian." King Ethrion said.
"What?" Lael said.
King Ethrion just looked at him seriously but he just shut his mouth. Serena was also going to say that she doesn't like Sebastian at all but she has no choice too. Even though she and King Ethrion are now in good terms, she still has to respect King Ethrion in some way.
"Okay" Serena just said.
"Let's get ready," Lael said.
Lael, Serena and Marissa left. When Serena was leaving King Ethrion called for her.
"Serena," King Ethrion said.
"Be careful. Remember...concentrate."
She smiled and left to get ready. She noticed that King Ethrion always talks seriously. She thought maybe King Ethrion is just like that. He doesn't usually show happiness. He doesn't show the expression of happiness.
Serena didn't really pack a lot of things except for a few things that are really needed. Someone knocked on the door. It was Lael who was wearing his armor and his weapons; swords, knives, bow and arrows.
"Are you ready?" Lael asked.
"Sure,"
They were about to leave her room but Lael stopped for a while.
"Why?"
"I forgot to give you this."
Lael handed a bow and an arrow on a bag to wear behind her back.
"My very own bow and arrow, thank you." She said as she wore it.
"It's really good on you."
They started walking towards the gate exiting the kingdom.
Sebastian and Marissa were already waiting. Serena took a deep breath before going out of the kingdom to rescue Adamar.
