There's her screams piercing the air,
then there are people in the town,
pretending they didn't hear.
Started from the city's heart,
ending up between their stares,
the girl's fate won't let her go near
to what she wants.
She won't stop counting the steps to her home
'cause there's nothing more intense than her
yearning to be home again.
She left home at nine and
she works till everybody's
lying in front of their T.V. sippin'
on wine.
Life on the stage isn't easy,
you got to doll up and
become something you are not.
Her eyes won't stop looking
at the clock, she's waiting
eagerly to leave as soon as she can.
But, it never goes like her plan,
there's a lot she's got to do
before she could just close
her eyes and sleep like
her bitter life is all made up of lies.
She has the key but, they won't
let her leave, saying that she's
got better things to do here.
All she wants to do is go back home
and live in a world that feels real for once.
