"WHAT?" I yell. I've had it. No more pretending I don't care- cause I do. "You're not wiping our memories. I mean, it's not like we were gonna turn you in." I say nervously. I actually was going to turn them in. Like siriusly, they have guns! They could murder somebody. That's not cool.
"You know what? You're not the one with the magic- I mean guns. So you don't have any say in this. I'm sorry. Not really." Says Noah.
He pulls a green cylinder shaped thing out of his pocket and puts his hand on the lid.
"I hope you remember my dashing hair "he says with sarcasm.
He is about to take off the lid when Liv knocks it on the floor. It breaks with a loud crack. Noah curses under his breath.
''Seriously? That was our only memory remover! Now you've ruined ours and your chance." He says fiercely.
He looks like he's about to lunge and does but Jules waves his hand and it looks like invisible ropes are holding him back. I shake my head. I must be hallucinating. I look at Liv she looks pretty taken back too. Okay. This is weird. I'm dreaming. Yes that's it. I'll wake up soon.
"Noah. We don't hurt the innocent. I know you're upset but we must find another memory remover. But we shouldn't accuse them of doing anything wrong. You would do the same thing." Jules tells Noah. He continues. "But you're right. We can't let them go now. With what they've just seen. It would be dangerous with them leaving with that information. We'll just have to take them to home base until we get another memory remover."
This time Jules lunges at us. But this time he gets us. The last thing I see is a bag going over my head and i'm suddenly so tired and fall asleep.
I wake up in a room that smells like pine trees. I inhale in. It smells wonderful. Then I realize i'm not in a room. I'm laying smack in the middle of a forest. I see Liv laying next to me. Noah and Jules are just ahead of me huddled and whispering. They are holding some kind of device.
"It was supposed to take us to our base! Why are we in the forest of fonce'? This is really bad Jules this is really bad. What are we going to do? I'm not trained for this." Noah tells Jules.
"I know." Jules replies.
I can't hear the rest of the conversation because Liv starts moaning in her sleep.
"Yes waitress I would like a double latte frappuccino with double whipped cream. Mmhm yes I would like a pastry with it too." She moans.
She must be dreaming about starbucks. What I would do for a coffee or pastry right now. Just thinking of food makes my stomach growl. Suddenly Liv whips right up from her snug place in the grass.
"Wherearewe?" She just about screams.
"Relax. Remember yesterday? This is where they took us. We need a plan to escape from them." I tell her.
As I try to get up a sharp pain runs through my arm. What was that? I check my arm and sure enough. There is a red mark the shape of a circle. Great. A tracker. Clever. Now we can't go anywhere without them knowing where we are.
"On second thought. We're staying here. They've implanted trackers in us" I say to Liv. "Hey! Noah! Jules! We're hungry. You got any food?"
Jules strokes his hand in a pattern and suddenly a feast of pancakes, bacon, and eggs show up. I just about faint. But try to act cool.
"Okay. I meant like a granola bar or something. But this is good. This is good." I say nervously.
Then I pick up my fork and start eating.
