AARAV's POV:
"Why did you stop the music?" I asked Sai who didn't just paused the music but also stopped the car.
"Because.. We are here." I looked around and we were outside Parth's house. I don't want to get in there not after what had happened last night, but I have to face him now or later and knowing Parth I know he must be needing someone as well. If it's me he needs, I don't know. I took a closer look at his home and his bike wasn't parked at its usual place.
"It looks like he is not home."
"Yeah, he must be attending classes unlike us." Sai was still surprised that I skipped college. But the fact is we woke up late and it was no point getting detention for going late to the college. Although,
"You are the reason why we skipped college." He frowned in surprise and then he pointed at himself.
"Now you are blaming me?" Of course, he is the only reason why I skipped the college..
"Yeah, because of you I was not able to sleep the whole night and that's the reason why I woke up late."
"Well, then you are at equal fault." I sure am.
"I accept your apology." I pouted and then kissed his cheeks.
"I will be back," I told him and went toward Parth's home. I still have a spare key with me which Parth's mom has given me. I wasn't breaking in, I just had to take my phone which I left here last night. So I made my way toward Parth's room and I opened the door incidentally. But what I saw, froze me.
The room was upside down, it was destroyed. The LED TV was on the floor, music system was broken, bed was not in its actual position. The fish tank was broken, everywhere I could lay my eyes, I saw broken glasses shattered on the floor. Just next to it, I saw my phone fragmented into pieces.
'Parth why are you doing this?' I whispered looking down at my broken phone and it wasn't the only thing broken.
I called Sai from Parth's landline and soon he appeared into Parth's room where I was standing with hand over my mouth. I was still shocked to see what Parth have done to this room, what he had done to himself.
"What's this?" Sai's reacted.
I slowly moved towards Parth's bed as my legs were getting heavy and soon I sat down with a tearful eyes. Suddenly I recalled Raghav's words that had been worrying me from so long.
I did give him false hope. It's my fault that he has fallen in love with me.
"It's my fault, he is hurt because of me." Sai walked toward me and settled next to me.
"Parth does have an anger issue, but he has never done something like this. He is hurt, maybe we should just give him time." I think he is right. Time might heal him.
"I think we should leave," I told Sai who went outside. I needed to grab my phone and my clothes and just leave.
Outside I saw Sai with a cat. Ewwww. That cat was circling around his feet and rubbing her head on him, whereas Sai was stroking her neck..
"Sai get away from IT." I just hate cats. Remember the one which scared me on my first date? A movie date with Sai? Exactly.
"I thought you like them, and I was thinking about giving you one as a gift on your birthday."
"I will kill you if you ever do that." I screamed and the cat growls at me and rans away.
"Haha, she hates you too."
"I know now shall we leave?"
"Yes, your highness." Like a gentleman, he opened a passenger seat door for me. I entered the car and soon he entered into the driving seat.
"So where are we going?"
"I think I already told you."
"No, you told me we are going somewhere, where, you never told." I asked him so many times, but he is not telling me at all.
"Surprise, babes."
"You know I hate surprises." Why keep it surprise if you will get to know it in the end? But no, you want to torture person by making him think of surprise of which he doesn't have any idea.
"I know and that's why I am not telling you." Ok, don't tell. I am not talking to you then. I folded my hand across my chest looking out the window, but he just giggled and drove us to god damned place.
I kept my eyes curiously on the street, thinking of where we must be going. I was not in the mood for a movie or lunch in a big fancy hotel. Also, we already had eaten food. Then where must it be?
After an hour Sai stopped the car. I saw a huge gate with 'KING'S ZOoo' written over it.
"ZOoooooooooooo" I cheered. "You took me to the zoo. Wow. Sai let's go inside please." Sai smiled at my craziness.
"Of course we are here to go inside Aaruu." He shuffled my hairs. Again. Is it worthy of wasting your energy to tell him to stop doing that? No, I was excited to go inside and I was about to run in there until Sai stopped me.
"Wear this." He put the round, handmade Hat on my head. "It's hot outside, and you already have a cold, I don't want you to get sick." Aww he cares about me. I just love him. As I don't know anyone here and I might not care what they would think if I kiss my boyfriend on his cheeks so I did.
"Thanks, hotty." Hot as lava. The lava which melt's my soul. The soul which belongs to him and only him.
"And you say you hate public affection!" He said still surprised by my action.
"Sometimes I break my own rule, but you are not allowed to do that." Well, I kissed him as there are not many people, besides few kids with their parents.
So we went inside the zoo and the first cage I found was having a Fox glaring outside at me. He looked exactly like,
"Sai, look whom I found.." I grabbed Sai's attention pointing at the Fox, on which Sai rolled his eyes. He smirked remembering a certain thing I did this morning.
"Oh really, look whom I found." I went to him and he was looking at the horse. "It looks like you. Right?"
"No way. I don't even look close to it. It has tail Sai. And I don't. How stupid you are. Duh!"
"Not fair. Fox has a tail too." If Sai had tails, he might look just like Fox. This thought made me laugh, on which Sai gave me a confused look knowing, this laughter has to do something with him. So I ran into Zoo and Sai ran behind to chase me. We finally stopped and when I saw pigs, I started laughing even harder. I literally rolled on the ground laughing.
"What on a earth is so funny Aarav?" I was out of breath, so I pointed toward Pigs.
"Looking at them, I remembered Ryan."
"Are you saying Ryan look's like Pig?"
"No, but once you said Ryan look cute. Ain't those Pigs are cute Sai?"
"Well, they are."
"So you agree Ryan is a Pig?"
"Argh, Aarav I am not saying that."
"But Sai you already said that. I will tell Ryan."
"Aarav... Don't you dare to run again." If I won't run Sai will kill me plus it was fun teasing him and calling Ryan Pig. He isn't, but still.
We spent 3 hours at this Zoo, we even did lunch in the restaurant which was near the Zoo and now we are on our way back to Sai's home. As I entered I saw a mid-age man, sitting on the couch reading a newspaper, very common for this age. His appearance has resemblance with a combination of Ohm and Sai. I assumed he must be their father.
I never met him and I don't even know what kinda person he is. Sai never talked much about him. What if he is among those stern parents..? I think I should behave.
Soon, Sai entered the house and when he saw his father seated on the couch, his face plastered with a smile. The smile tells a story. A story of seeing a father after long days. Does this happens very rare? Well, I have never seen his father in the house since I have entered into Sai's life. So, I guess his reaction was pure. Not so pure when he grabbed my hand and walked toward his majestic father. Look at his appearance. That godly figure. I will bet girls might flatter on his look.
"Dad. When did you come.?"
"Hey, son. I came yesterday night." I was here yesterday. How come I didn't see him. "Where were you whole night? You were supposed to take care of Ohm and Rohan and yet you stayed a night outside?" Sai's father was disappointed at him. And he has a point, though.
"I was at a friend's home. I had project work to do." What a lie. I looked at him in disapproval. He might have caught my look. "What?" He asked me in a low tone. That's when his father happened to look at my way.
"You......" Mr. Rajput pointed at me. What should I do? Run? No. Man up Aarav. Your first impression will be the last impression. "I guess you must the famous Aarav." He said smiling wide. Famous, really? Heh.
"Yes, sir. I mean I am not famous, but yeah. I am famous Aarav. I mean.... Nice to meet you, Sir."
"Pleasure is mine, I was waiting to meet you."
"You were..? Waiting to actually meet me?" It was a feeling when a celebrity asks a fan for an autograph. His dad is no less than a celebrity, he must have his fandom.
"Yeah, my both kid's talk's about you, the whole day, and Rohan is your big fan. I heard you are a great musician.? Is that true?" Do they talk about me that much? And even Sai told his dad about me? But he never mentioned his cool dad to me, ever.
"I am not a great musician Sir, I just can play some instrument." I think they are just telling too much about me.
"Plus he can sing." His dad felt really very surprised to hear that.
"I had lost hope on you Sai, I thought all of your friends are just hopeless. But at least one of them is quite talented." His dad said looking at me. Yeah! I am talented and the hopeless friend he is talking about must be Sid. Hehe.
"No dad not all friends, Rohan can sing too." Ohm appeared with Rohan walking next to him. They already smiled on our way to see me and Sai together.
"Rohan is more like a brother for him, dummy." Father-son loving conversation. I love his dad already.
"Dad, if you are here. Are you staying for a Party?" Sai asked shocking Ohm.
"That's why I am here. Oh god why I have such an Idiot son"
"Don't blame god dad, it's all your fault."
"I know and I am still regretting my action." His dad pouts. OMG! Someone get me a bowl.
"Wait, dad can't stay for the party," Ohm said loudly.
"Why not. It's my house and if there is a party, I am invited." Mr. Rajput said and Ohm shook his head, so much determined not to have his father at Rohan's birthday party.
"Dad, it's a party for youngsters. You are not young." His dad could be the center of attention of the Party then.
"I bet girls might die to see him in the party. He is hot for his age." If there are any girls coming, then we have to assure to keep ambulance outside. But right now I think I need an ambulance, everyone was staring at me, but Mr. Rajput was staring at me joyfully.
"Look he just said I am hot." Did I say it aloud? And why this family is so crazy.
"Dad, he is just stupid, don't listen to him. And I am the host of the Party so you are not invited." I wonder why Ohm doesn't want his own father at the party which supposes to be in his own house.
"Oh, I see. Ok, then no party at my house." Like father, like son.
"Dad. That's not fair."
"Ok, fine, I am leaving today anyway." Then why as so drama.? Well, crazy Rajput's.
"All that time you were just messing up with me?" Sai held my hand. Let me say, Sai held my hand in front of his father and took me on the two-seater couch next to the one seat couch where his dad was settled.
Sai totally ignoring his brother and dad's conversation, looking little sad. What's wrong with him. A while ago he was happy like a crazy kid and now he was sad like a same crazy kid who just lost his father.
"I thought you would stay more this time." Sai finally spoke, which cause both his dad and his brother to look at his way. I grabbed the Sai's hand assuring him that I am here. I can't see him sad.
"Sai, you know I have work. I can't stay here forever." His dad saw my hold on Sai's hand and soon I removed my hand away. He gave me a look which wasn't of disapproval or even approval. He simply gave me a muddled look. What on earth was I thinking while holding his hand?
"But you never stay dad." Sai said, emphasizing never, still looking at his feet.
"Next time I stay more. I promise." His dad said, shuffling Sai's hair's. So he got that habit from his dad. "And Aarav. Take care of my son. He was never this happy and I guess you hold the reason for his happiness." Yes, he is happy and the reason is he has me as his boyfriend. I can't tell that to Mr. Rajputthough.
"Yes, Sir. I will always be by his side to take care of him." I assured him via my smile on which he shuffled my hairs too.
"I know you will. You are a good kid." My hairs. I think I should cut them. I am really fed up with people messing up with it. His dad soon left the room and it left with just four of us.
"So there is a party this Sunday." I broke the silence.
"Yes, huge party." Ohm who was planning something on his mind just screamed out loud.
"I think you should stop hanging around Ryan." They are becoming like him. Last time Parth was screaming loud and now it's Ohm.
"Yeah, he is coming too." What the fu**. He didn't even listen to what I said. Well, I want to know who is coming so I asked him and he already started listing the people who are coming to the party.
"Ohm, I don't even know most of them." Rohan complined. I think he has right to. It's his birthday party so he must decide who he want's to invite.
"Ohm, it's not your birthday party idiot. Rohan, tell me who you want to invite to 'YOUR' birthday party." Sai, just read my mind. Or we think alike.
"Not many people. We four and Parth. Also Sid and Navya and her friends, Nick, and his friends I guess. And yeah, Ryan. There is this cute guy I met in the library, I was thinking of inviting him too..." Ohm interrupted just after that.
"Cute guy? Who? Why you didn't tell me about him?" Extremely jealous Ohm said like he is going to rip that guy if he sees him.
"Ohm, you know him, it's Zyan." God, all on earth he found Zyan cute. Seriously. The Noodlehead. Fuc*king torture to the music club. The president of the music club is cute.. LOL.
"Zyan.?" So Ohm lost the war. If Zyan gets to know that Ohm doesn't want to invite him to a party he will throw him out of the club.
"Who else.?" I asked him. He told a few more names which are his friends from the orphanage and some old school friends.
"Aarav we need to talk." Ohm asked and I was about to get up from my seat, but my darling Sai stopped me by his hand.
"You have to take permission from me first." My darling said to Ohm. Darling, because he is so protective.
"Aarav, are you seriously dating him? There are better choices outside." Hehe, brother conflict.
"Well, there might be better choices outside, but I got the best." Rohan and Sai turned at me with shining eyes. Did I say anything wrong?
"That was sweet, baby." Sai kissed my forehead. I have to lecture him about public affection later. Right now I have to hide my red cheeks.
"Ok love birds, that's enough. I really have something important to talk with your baby. Can I have him for a minute?" This family is so crazy. I went to Ohm and after taking the flying kiss from Sai I followed Ohm in the backyard.
"You forgot about giving me guitar lessons. His birthday is the day after tomorrow Aarav." I totally forgot it. I gave him lessons, but due to some problems from the last few days, I was not able to teach him the song which he is going to play on Rohan's party. I gave him the basics, but still, he needs to practice.
"We should go and practice now," I told him, on which he shook his head.
"Aarav, it has to be secret. I don't want Rohan to find out." He has a point. Then where should we practice? The last time when we did, Rohan was not here, but now he is here so we can't practice here. Well, my room. Yeah, that will be the best place to practice.
"Let's go to my room." I suggested and by his look, I think he agrees.
"Cool, I go grab my stuff." And he headed into the house and soon disappeared upstairs. And Sai appeared in the backyard.
"What he said.?"
"Oh god, Sai. Don't worry, he is not going to steal me from you."
"He did take you from me just a while ago."
"And he is taking me from you even for a few hours now." Ohm said appearing very faster than a blink. He had his scooter key in his hand.
"Where are you two going?" Possessive much. It's new for me.
"Sai, I had to give him lessons. Forgot?" I did tell Sai about it in the morning and he did remember it just now.
"Okay, but I will.... Miss you." Awww. He is actually going to miss me. I can see it on his face.
"I miss you too love." Well, did I say love in front of Ohm? Screw me. No, don't. Not till we get a room.
"Ok, enough. We are leaving." Ohm demanded and grabbed my hand and pulled me outside of his home.
So here we are. Ohm doesn't even get the simple F# chord. He is fine, but when it comes to F# he sucks. I think I should tell him the trick.
"You two do realize that it's my sleep time?" Yes, it's no other than Ryan, who had pillow glued to his both ears.
"Please... Please.. Please Ryan. Just for me..?" Ohm is good at convincing.
"Argh! Ohkay.." Ryan said in a most annoying way and slept. I thought he might leave the room, but he kept sulking to his bed.
After two hours of practicing. He was ready. If everything goes well, people might get tears in their eyes after his performance. The song he chose was superb, even though he is not a singer, but still, his feelings will get delivered where it is supposed to be. I am just happy he is finally going to tell Rohan.
"Thanks a lot, Aarav."
"Heh, it's all your effort, but you still need to practice if you really want Rohan to get impressed." And he definitely will.
"Wait, he is going to sing for Rohan?" Ryan shouted jumping from his bed.
"Ryan, I.. Please don't tell Rohan. It's a surprise for him." Ohm meant it. I know how important this is for him.
"I knew... I knew... Rhom was real." God damn it. He steals the name which I gave to them.
"Yes Rohm is real and that name I gave it to them." Here comes the fight.
"Excuse me. My Rhom has 'h' before 'o' your Rohm has 'o' before 'h'"
"That makes no sense." Really. After committing a crime, he is giving useless analyses.
"Sai, was right. You two are trouble together." If it wasn't Ohm to stop me, I would have punched his disgusting face.
So now we seated on our bed, me along with Ohm beside me on my bed and Ryan on his. We both were looking into each other's eyes with extreme hate.
"Hey, Aarav. Why did you three skip the college today." What does he mean by three? It was just me and Sai who didn't attend college today.
"What do you mean by three.?"
"I mean Parth." As soon Parth topic came, Ryan saw us with concern. It was a concern for Parth.
"Parth has disappeared since morning." Ryan said with sadness in his eyes. I still don't get when did both of them become friends?
"It's my fault." I honestly told them. "Today morning I went to his home and his bedroom was upside down. He is hurt and I am the reason. I really don't know what to do or say to him."
"To do, we have to find him first. To say, you have to figure out something." Ohm was right. And I know where he should be.
"I think I know where we can find him. Ohm, can you drop me there?"
"Me? No no no. I have to prepare for the party. You can go with him. Ok, bye." How ungrateful. I just gave him guitar lessons and he just denied to help me. I guess now I have no choice than to ask him.
"Don't look at me, it's my practice time."
"But, Ryan it's for Parth. Can't you skip for him?" He didn't even think much and said yes. So here we are in the parking of our building and I am waiting for him to come with his vehicle.
"What is this garbage.?" As soon as he came with his scooter, wait, not a scooter, an antique old age useless scooter, I was not able to control my mouth to ask him about this garbage.
"Hey, listen. It's my dad's scooter which he got from his dad. It's not a garbage, it is my angel got it.?" Angel? Seriously? I may say it is a devil. "What did you just say.?" I shook the thought out of mind. They say in need you have to be friend with the devil. And no I am not talking about the scooter, I am talking about Ryan.
So, I just shut my mouth and sat behind him. Haven't I told you, it's an old useless garbage? It even takes time to ignite. I am just glad it did. And soon we were here at this lake. Parth's secret place. I don't know why, but I think Parth must be here.
"Why do you think, he must be here.?"
"There is some secret place of his which is really very close to his heart." When he broke up with Navya he felt good after coming here. And I think he must be here now after I broke his heart. "Can you wait here.? I will go and check him."
"Oh, I.. Can you tell him. I am here too."
"Why.? Ok... I will." Ryan really do want Parth to know that he is here. Matter of factly he was worried about him. So I nodded and made my way toward Parth's very own secret place which he had shown no one else than me. I am not really ready to face him and at the same time I want to see him safe.
As soon I crossed the narrow path, I found Parth sleeping in evening light on his tired face.
