Chapter 8:
"RAIN!" *poke* Hm....I wonder what's going on. Mao, Sora, Mizuki, and I haven't been on a single mission this whole entire week...Hopefully nothing it wrong o.o That would be booty shit.
"RAIN!" *poke* I wonder if there's something wrong with the system or something. Everyone has been so distant the past week towards us four. The day after my birthday, everyone like shut us out. Even Itachi and Tobi.
"RAIN!" *poke*
"WHAT THE DUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!" I yelled, Mizuki shouted out in surprised as he stumbled backwards into the pond. Mao and Sora were dying. Yuki was giggling before running over to where Mizuki was and splashing him. Mizuki pretended to be a monster and was chasing Yuki all around the shallow parts.
"You kinda blanked out so." Sora said while gigging. Mao ran up and started splashing around with the two. Since Mao left, Ookami moved his head on my lap.
"It's odd how we haven't been on any missions the past week. Also today, everyone went on a mission, normally their would be people home.. They left without even saying anything." I said. Sora nodded.
"I thought that was weird too. Normally we're informed about the missions in some kind of way. I have no idea what missions everyone is on now." Sora said. I nodded in agreement. Someone always tells us what missions they're on in case they don't come back. I have a bad feeling about this.
"Yeah.. Deidara and Sasori both left early, I caught them right before they went but all they said was that they had to go and then Deidara just flew away with Sasori." Sora ran a hand through her hair, I can tell she was worried too.
"Hopefully everything is all well."
"Yeah, hopefully."

We were all now hanging out at Aki's house. It's been a couple of days since everyone went on their missions. We haven't heard anything from them either..
"Lady Rain!" Yuki squealed as she ran and hugged my legs. I smiled as I patted her head gently. She recently just woke up from a nap. She then ran up to Ookami and wrapped her arms around his neck. Ookami licked her face as she giggled and ran to everyone else to give them a hug.
Aki came out of the kitchen with her apron on.
"Yuki! Can you please set the table?" Aki asked. Yuki ran up to Aki and hugged her before disappearing into the kitchen. Aki giggled softly at her daughter.
"Have you guys heard anything?" Aki asked as she untied her apron and hung it up. I shook my head and sat down at the table. Mao, Mizuki, and Sora followed in suit.
"It's been like three days since they left. Haven't heard a word." Mao said as she sighed and rested her chin on her hand.
"Maybe they died." I replied while shrugging. There was a moment of silence before everyone started yelling.
"WHY WOULD YOU THINK THAT?!"
"RAIN, NOW YOU'RE MAKING ME WORRIED!"
"NOOOO TOBI-KUN CAN'T DIE!"
"I SWEAR TO GOT RAIN YOU WANT US ALL TO HAVE A FREAKING HEART ATTACK!"
"Guys, calm down." I said while standing up, the chair fell to the ground. There was another moment of silence as I grabbed the chair and picked it up.
"I'm going to go find them. They might be at the other base." I said while I transported myself to the other base. It was empty, I couldn't feel anything.
"Hello, anyone here." I called out as I walked around. It was extremely dark here, my eyes adjusted a little but it still was hard to see. We had another base...but that base is where they did the tailed beast extraction. I shivered slightly, I hated it. That's why I hardly ever go there.
"Hmm.. I wonder where anyone is at." I said out loud. Suddenly I felt a sharp pain on my wrist. Oh no. I cried out in pain as I fell to my knees. I was shaking slightly as I unwrapped my bandages, no. NO. Oh my fucking god. Please, no. I closed my eyes and opened them, hoping what I was seeing wasn't true.
Gaara's kanji and Sasori's kanji appeared, burned in my wrist. I stared at them with wide eyes before I let out an agonizing scream.
(SORA'S POV)
"RAIN!" Ookami and Mizuki both yelled. Mizuki shot up from his seat and Ookami ran out the door. Mao, Aki, Yuki, and I looked at each other before Mao and I darted after them.
"Oh no." Ookami slowed down as his eyes glazed over, he started whimpering slightly before he closed his eyes and turn towards our direction. Mizuki slowed down also, a deep frown on his face.
"What is it?!" I asked looking at the two. What's wrong with Rain?! Ookami and Mizuki both shared a look before looking at Mao and I.
"Gaara....and Sasori.....they're dead."
Mao and I froze, we both looked at them with wide eyes.. Sasori?! Gaara?! Dead?! Tears pooled around my eyes.
"N-n-no. It c-can b-b-b-be true!" Mao yelled, tears streamed down her face. No matter how much we deny it, we both already knew it was true. I fell to my knees and covered my face with my hands.
Sasori...I won't ever see him again... Gaara... my little brother. I let out a sob as my shoulder shook violently. I could feel myself getting angry.
"S-S-SASORI, G-G-G-GARRA!" I roared as I darted, since both Sasori and Gaara are dead, I assume it's because they extracted Gaara's tailed beast. I'll kill whoever killed Sasori, I'll kill whoever killed Gaara.
"Sora wait!" Mao yelled, I was too far gone to turn back. I will avenge you both. Somehow.
(MIZUKI'S POV)
I cursed under my breath, Sora darted to the other base while Rain was at another.
"Ookami. Go get Rain. I'll go after Sora, Mao you're with me. Scatter." I ordered. Mao and Ookami nodded, Ookami darted away towards the direction of the other base while Mizuki and I ran after Sora.
If we don't get her soon, she's going to do something she'll regret. "M-m-mizuki-kun." Mao said as we both landed on a branch. I looked towards her, tears was streaming down her face.
"I already know Gaara didn't die peacefully. Having a tailed beast extracted from you isn't peaceful..But do you think Sasori died peacefully, somehow?" She whispered gently.
I stopped and pulled her into a hug. Mao started sobbing uncontrollably into my chest.
"Gaara-kun." She whispered as she clenched my shirt tighter. I could just feel how much it hurt her, It was rolling off of her like waves.
"Ma-"
"It doesn't matter. Let's just go get Sora-chan before she kills someone else." She mumbled as she wiped her tears away and started running again. I bit my lip, I know after this, all of them are going to be miserable. I sighed as I followed shortly behind her.
Gaara, Sasori, may you both rest in peace. You deserve it.

(KOSUKE'S POV)
"GAARA!" We all yelled as he woke up. I had to fight the urge to run up and hug him and then punch him in the head and calling him a baka for getting himself caught .-.
"Naruto." Gaara said as he looked at Naruto with wide eyes. Naruto grinned back before patting him on the back and cheering. Everyone started cheering along. Thank the lord Gaara's alive, I couldn't contain my grin as I cheered along also.
"G-g-g-gaara?" Someone said. We all stopped cheering and turned towards the direction of the voice. We all gasps and drew our weapons. The voice belonged to a female Akatsuki's member. I've never saw her in my entire life before..
Her eyes lit up as she stared at Gaara...Her eyes was similar to Hinata. A hyuga in the Akatsuki?! How is this possible? We would've been informed if their was a Hyuga in the Akatsuki.
She took a step forward before her eyes met mine. I felt a familiar feeling in my stomach, the feeling I got whenever I used to look into her eyes..Sora's eye. Tears filled her eyes as she gasped.
"Kosuke?" She whispered. I stood their frozen shock. This is impossible, Sora's dead..But how is she standing her right in front of me.
"Sora?" I whispered back as I took a step closer to her. Sora's eyes it up before she ran up to me, I ran up to her before picking her up and spinning her around. She started giggling, I stared at her in shock.
"Sora? My Sora?" I mumbled. Sora looked up and nodded.
"Sora, your Sora." She mumbled back. My eyes widened as I hugged her closely. I felt tears pricked my eyes, how is this possible?! She shouldn't be alive right now.. How?
"GAARA-KUN IS ALIVE MIZUKI-KUN! MIZUKI-KUN! GAARA-KUN IS ALIVE!" Someone else yelled. I looked at the direction the voice came, there stood another female Akatsuki. Her hair was pink, similar to Sakura's. Though her eyes were bright blue.
"KOSUKE-KUN I MISSED YOU!" She yelled as she ran up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She started sobbing slightly as she buried her face into my torso.
"It's me! Mao Yamada!" She yelled, though it was muffled, into my shirt. My eyes widen. MAO!? I wrapped my arms around her before squeezing her tightly.
"No fucking way." I mutter.
"Totally fucking way." She mutter back.
I couldn't believe this, they were alive. Sora, my love was alive, and Mao, my little baby sister was alive. I couldn't help but to let the tears flow. Mao and Sora both pressed themselves against me as they cried also.
"I've miss you so much." Sora mumbled. I kissed her head as I pulled them both closer.
"M-m-mao? S-sora?!" Naruto stuttered as he looked at the two in shock. Mao and Sora both jumped away from me and tackled Naruto.
"NARUTO!" They both yelled. Naruto's eyes lit up as he wrapped his arms around the two and started crying slightly. Everyone crowded around them, including me.
(MIZUKI'S POV)
I couldn't help but to grin. Mao and Sora were both beyond happy, they were finally back home.
"M-mizuki." Someone called weakly from behind me. I turned around to see Rain and Ookami. My eyes widened as I ran over just as Rain was about to fall. Ookami laid down before he was sound asleep, he probably tried to take some of Rain's pain.
Rain was breathing heavily as her hand grasped my cloak.
"A-are t-they o-o-okay?" She asked. I nodded. She closed her eyes before reopening them.
"I can't see anything. The pain lessened because of Ookami and Gaara, but I can't see." She said, her voice crackling at the end. Tear's pricked her eyes as she stared up into the sky. I hugged her closer.
"RAIN!" I heard Sora and Mao both yell. Footsteps thundered as they appeared beside us. Sora pressed her hand against her forehead.
"She's burning up more than usual." Sora said, she took off Rain's cloak and handed it to Mao.
"She can't feel anything, the pain is too much for her to feel anything. Even though it might seem like she's not in pain. This is worst than all the other times." Ookami muttered as he fell back to sleep. Rain reached out at the direction of his voice.
"Ookami." She muttered. Her hand fell limped as she turned towards us. Her eyes was slightly glazed over.
All of a sudden sand shot up around us and wrapped itself around Mao, Sora, and I. Rain slipped out of my grasp as I was pulled into the air.
"What the hell?!" I yelled as I started struggling, Rain cried out in pain as Naruto and Kosuke kicked her over.
"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING TO HER!?" I yelled, my powers felt like it was draining slowly, I couldn't feel my body. I couldn't think straight. Kosuke reached behind him and grabbed his sword. He slowly pulled it out of its holder and slammed it down. Rain rolled out of the way, grunting in Pain.
"KOSUKE, STOP!" Sora yelled, she was struggling even harder than before. We couldn't get out of the sand.
"RAIN! OOKAMI! WATCH OUT!" Mao yelled. Ookami woke up just in time to push Rain out of the way of Kosuke's next attack.
"You lied to us this whole time. You said they were dead, yet in reality they were alive. You took them away from us, you SELFISH BITCH!" Naruto yelled as tears streamed out of his eyes. He made a rasengan, and ran towards Rain and Ookami.
Rain's and Ookami's eyes widen, they won't be fast enough to react! Rain and Ookami aren't able to fully control their bodies when they go through the kanji stages.
"RAIN MOVE!" I yelled, Rain quickly pushed Ookami out of harms way and took the rasengan to the leg. She cried out as she fell to the ground. She rolled multiply times before stopping. She groaned as she tried to stand up.
"MIZUKI! WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING!" Mao cried out. She started sobbing uncontrollably as she came to the conclusion that there was nothing we could do now. We all stared in horror at what was happening before us.
I felt weaker and weaker as time passed.
Kosuke walked up to Ookami before pointing his sword at him.
"KOSUKE STOP! DON'T DO IT!" Sora yelled, she stared at them in horror. "I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU, PLEASE. DON'T HURT THEM!" She added weakly. Kosuke tensed up before plunging the sword into Ookami's side.
"NO!" We all cried. Rain stared at Ookami with wide eyes. She started shaking uncontrollably.
"OOKAMI!" She screamed. She started crawling towards him, Naruto came up and placed his foot on her back pinning her down. She let out another agonizing scream, she clawed at the ground trying to get closer to her guardian wolf.
None of us could say anything, just stared in frozen horror.
"NO, OOKAMI! PLEASE! I CAN'T LOSE YOU TOO. PLEASE!" She cried out. Ookami whimpered slightly before moving his head.
"I'm sorry, Rain." He whispered before his eyes fluttered close and his body went slack. Rain stared at him in horror, her mouth open, a silent scream. Tears flowed down her eyes as she turned towards the ground, her body shaking violently.
"No. I'm so sorry, Ookami."
She turned and drove a kunai to Naruto's leg. She jumped up and ran towards Ookami, everything happened in slow motion.
Naruto made a rasengan before plunging it into her heart from behind, Kosuke ran up in front of her and sliced an x into her chest. My eyes widen as Rain slowly fell to her knees.
Everyone was in shock, we were all waiting for her to poof away, for it to be a clone. But instead, blood dripped from her wounds. She let out a choked gasp as she coughed out blood. I suddenly was released from the sand's grip.
I stumbled over before diving to the ground next to Rain. I caught her just in time. I rested her head into my lap, Sora and Mao ran over.
She looked up at us, her mask was down. A smile formed on her lips. Mao and Sora were both hugging each other and sobbing uncontrollably.
"D-d-don't c-c-cry." Rain said as tears streamed down her cheeks. Tears of my own fell onto Rain's face. She lifted her hand to my face and wiped away my tears.
"Don't cry." She said before she started crying even harder. Sora took one of her hand into her own and Mao walked around the other side and took Rain's other hand into her own. Mao pressed Rain's hand to her lips as tears rolling down from her face to Rain's hand. She smiled slightly.
"I think this is it for me." She said as she poked my forehead, then Mao's and then Sora's. She gave us a closed eye smile before opening her eyes.
"I better not see any of you guys anytime soon. Tell...Tell everyone that I...I love them. And I love you guys." She added.
"Who knew it'll take death for you to confess your undying love for me, my little Uchiha."I said gently as I wiped my tears away. Rain giggled softly before closing her eyes and shaking her head slowly.
"You never know till the time comes. Life is weird like that." She said. Her breathing became much more slower, her eyes fluttered open and shut.
"Protect each other. Also, protect those around you. Thank you for everything. I love you, I truly love you all." She muttered before her eyes fluttered shut, her hands slipped from Mao's and Sora's hand. Her breathing slowed until it completely stopped.
"R-r-rain."Mao said. She clenched her hands together as she bent over and let out a gasps before sobs racked throughout her body.
I bit my lip before I let out an yell. I couldn't contain it any longer, my best friend, my savior, my little sister, my little Uchiha..Is gone. Sobs escaped from my body as I hugged Rain closer.
Mao walked over to Ookami and hugged him close to her body, Sora went over and did the same.
"Rain." It started to rain slightly.
"I love you and I'll miss you. I'll miss you so fucking much." I whispered as I hugged her even closer.
"Mizuki-kun." Mao said. I looked up, my eyes met her tear-filled ones. I nodded as I gently set Rain down, I took off my cloak and pulled it over her. Mao took off her own and pulled it over Ookami.
"Not only did we lose team members, we lost family." Sora said as she stood up. She turned towards the shinobis.
"I hope you're happy now. You've brought down Rain Uchiha." She mumbled. Mao gasped before turning towards them, sadness in her eyes.
"She only wanted to see if we were safe and if Gaara-kun was okay." Mao mumbled. I stood up and turned towards the shinobis also.
"If I wasn't sacred of Rain and what she'll do if I were to break a promise of hers, you all would be dead right now." I mumbled darkly. I bent down and picked up Rain. Ookami disppeared, I frowned, he's gone to his world. Once a wolf dies, they are transported to their world to be buried.
"Rest in peace, Ookami." All three of us said.
I started to turn away, I needed to bring Rain to Itachi. I looked down, I can't believe she's gone. I've failed, I've failed to protect her. My grip on her tightened as I walked away.
"Mao, Sora. Stay here with them, Rain would want you to stay with them." I called out.
"But Mizuki-kun what about you?" Mao asked. I turned around and smiled softly at the two.
"I'll see you both soon. Please, go." I pleaded. Mao and Sora looked down as tears rolled down their cheeks and they nodded. I looked at the rest of the shinobi behind them.
"Rain told me to protect those I love. Hurt Mao or Sora, I'll come hunt you down." I growled. They all nodded as I turned away and walked away from them. As soon as I was out of sight my shoulders dropped.
Tears formed in my eyes and fell like a stream down my face.
Rain, why'd you have to go?
