Niall POV
As crazy as yesterday was, I found myself super bored in my hotel room today. Mum figured that I’d just hang out with Liam again, so she was off on some spa treatment for the day. Sad thing was that Liam was busy for the day. He said something about his sister Ruth? Man, it started to seem like she was having more fun on this trip then I was.
I heaved out a heavy sigh before going into my pocket to retrieve my phone. I was already dressed for the day (since I thought me and my mum were going to do something), so I figured I should find a restaurant nearby or something. Opening it I saw a blinking message on my phone. Hesitantly I Opened it up.
From Tommo: Hey, Irish! Ya bored? I’m bored! We should hang out, yea?
To Tommo: Who is this?
From Tommo: SUPERMAN!
I rolled my eyes and chuckled at that. Who the hell--
To Tommo: No, seriously. Who is this.
From Tommo: It’s sad that you forgot me so soon, Irish. I think I might just cry ;-;
To Tommo: If you tell me who you are then I might think about not letting you cry.
I waited a minute, but didn’t get an answer. I was really confused. I don’t know who the hell Tommo was, but this idiot decided to stop texting me. Thank God. Now I can just look up a place to go in peace.
I opened up my internet app to only get a ringing phone. Someone was calling me? Now? I looked at the caller ID to only growl a bit. What the fuck did this guy want with me? Should I answer it? By the third ring I decided that this wasn’t really going to end unless if I finally put a stop to it, so I answered.
“Look. I don’t know who the fuck you are, but stop texting me, okay?”
“Woah, woah, woah, leprechaun. Don’t get saucey with me. I call to say hi and this is the thanks I get. Man, I’m hurt, especially that you didn’t remember me. How heartbroken I am. Oh, I might cry.”
That voice was familiar. Who the--
“Louis.”
“Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner!” He laughed on the other side of the line, causing me to roll my eyes with a smile. Why couldn’t he just tell me who the hell he was?
“Well, I could’ve done without all the games, Tommo.” I told, remembering that note he left on my phone in which he called himself Louis “The Tommo” Tomlinson.
“Awww, but I like games.” He chuckled before continuing. “Well, when we met, you seemed pretty nice, Irish. I woke up bored today and figured you can entertain me. Sound fair?”
“Fair? You’re acting like I owe you one.”
“Don’t you? I mean, I did give you directions back to your fancy-shmancy hotel, did I not? Plus, my plans got canceled, so I figure I give ya a ring.”
“So now I’m a last resort, eh?” I questioned with a slight smirk.
“Oh, never, Rhonda Louise. I would never ever do that to such a national treasure. But, don’t get your panties twisted. It’s not like I had plans with a person. Don’t get so sensitive. My practice was just canceled is all.”
Canceled? Practice? Maybe I’ll ask later.
“Sure. We can hang out. Sounds fun enough.”
I heard him laugh on the other line before agreeing. “Alright. Make yourself sexy. I’ll be there in a few.”
“Alright, Tommo. Sound’s good.”
“See ya, Irish.” And with that the call ended, nothing left for me to hold a conversation with other then the sound of a dead end dial tone.
Ending the call on my line, I slipped the device back into my pocket and rushed into the bathroom. Like I had said before, I was already dressed, but I just wanted to make sure my hair was still styled. I mean, after getting dressed to only discover I wasn’t going anywhere, I jumped back into bed in attempt to catch a few more Z’s, but of course my body wanted to work against it.

It had been twenty minutes and still no Louis. I was really confused. I mean, sure, I shouldn’t rush him and all, but I was bored and impatient. He was taking too long in getting over. I didn’t even care. I was going to text him.
To Tommo: Where are you ?
From Tommo: Woah. Calm down, Niall. I’m right around the corner xD
From Tommo: Actually! Why don’t you meet me out front! Save me the hassle of trying to find ya!
To Tommo: Lazy arse
From Tommo: Oi! Is that any way to treat your new friend? I’m hurt, Niall. Really hurt ;n;
I just smiled and rolled my eyes at that text. If I kept texting him then I’d never get downstairs and outside to meet up with Louis, though I must admit that texting the lad is a lot of fun.
Louis POV
I can’t believe I’m doing this! Am I fucking crazy? Of course I am! I have to be! There is no other reason I’m doing this right now! Well…maybe I’m doing this for Harry.
Damn it.
I let out a harsh sigh as I awaited a text back from Niall, but instead I noticed a bleach blonde quiff begin to quickly make its way toward me. There he was. Perfect.
“Hey, Louis! What’s up?” He asked, grinning widely toward me.
“NIALL! How is my favorite little leprechaun? Well, I’ve been alright. Lonrly, but okay.” I put on my best pout to only get a small eye roll from the lad. He was smiling whle he did it, so that was a good thing.
“Well, I was bored, so you decided to text me at just the right time, Tomlinson. I mean, I was about to make some plans, so you might be lucky I didn’t call up one of my other English friends.
“English friends? You met more Englishmen?” I placed a hand on my chest and inhaled an overly dramatic gasp. “I thought I was special, Niall. I’m so hurt.” I laughed, but he only chuckled towards me and my words. At least he kind of found me amusing…like Harry..
I cleared my throat at the thought before offering up the idea of food. I had a light breakfast this morning, so lunch seemed the best way to go right now.
“Are you kidding me? I can eat a fuckin’ baby hippo! Let’s go!” He cheered. I swear he started bouncing up and down, causing me to mimic his movements.
“Alright, I began. Let’s do it!” And with that I traded in bouncing for a nice sprint in the opposite direction, hoping it would click in his head to follow me and, luckily, he was. He wasn’t as fast as I was, but it was fun to know that he was okay with playing my little, childish games. It was refreshing to know that there were still fun-loving people out there.

After a quick game of tag - that Niall was unaware of, because I didn’t even tag him, I just kept running away laughing - I made it to a small café not too far off where I stopped to wait for him. Once he caught up he leaned over, hands on his knees as he did, while he caught his breath. “Y-you..arse..hole.” He breathed out, only causing me to laugh at him more. Poor little leprechaun. Needed more endurance…or something.
“Well, food is in there, so if you’d rather stay out here and catch your breath--” He got up to give me a soft, playful shove backward before entering the café, allowing me to follow him in.
I haven’t been to this specific café in a while, so I was unsure of what they had here, but my mum used to take me when I was younger, so I thought it was a nice little place for a lunch. I think I actually used to love the food here.
“How many?”
I opened my mouth to answer, but Niall’s Irish brogue beat me to it, asking the waitress for a table for two. She smile happily and asked us to follow her, l which was weird. Most waitresses seemed to hate their job, but she seemed pretty happy about where she was. It was different, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Once we were seated I began looking through the menu, as did Niall before a conversation started from his end. “Hey, Lou?”
“Hmm?”
“Well, earlier you said your practice was cancelled, right? Do you play sports or something?”
I couldn’t help but chuckle at his question. “Sports? Yeah. I play bit of football, myself, but it’s a bit too cold for that, don’t you think?” I asked rhetorically as I nudged my head in the direction of the wondow to make my point. It was snowing and winter break. Why would I be doing sports right now? “But, no. I had rehearsal today, but it was cancelled since our director was feeling a bit…urm…under the weather.” I smirked at my lame joke and was actually a tad surprised when the blonde laughed along with me. Was he just humoring me or was he seriously laughing at my lame joke.
“So, you act?” He asked between chuckles.
“Yes, sir. For a while now, actually. I’m doing a musical next week. Anything Goes. Heard of it?”
Niall shook his head before setting his menu down on the table, just in time for the waitress to return. I got myself a cup of tea and a BLT, but Niall’s order surprised me. A Brahma beer, chicken fingers, their special soup, a side order of chips, and a small French salad. Man, that lad could eat. Did his mum starve him or something?
“Damn, Niall. You don’t play, do ya?” I laughed over to him, leaning my elbows on the table as I did. He just shrugged over to me. “Eh, it’s a gift.” He retorted, but didn’t look up to me as he did. His eyes stayed low towards his lap, a smile on his lips as he stared down.
I smirked. “Well, didn’t know one’s crotch could be so entertaining.” I giggled, winking as he looked up to meet my eyes. He blushed at me a bit, but was also laughing at the same time.
“Just got a funny text from one of my mates back in Mullingar. That’s all.” He laughed, sliding his phone back into his pocket as he did. He made it seem like it was no big deal, but mentally I rose an eyebrow. It was weird, but I almost forgot that Niall didn’t live here in London. Maybe it’s because I was already comfortable with him already. Plus, Harry--
“Oh! Hey, Niall?” He looked up to me this time, to ensure that I had his attention before I continued on. “How much longer are you staying in London? I mean, how much days till you have to head on back to Mullingar?”
He thought about it for a bit. I could tell he was actually counting the days in his head or something and it was kind of funny. Didn’t he know?
“Well, I’m here for another ten days before I have to fly back to Ireland? About...ten... Why? You gonna miss me, Lou?” He teased with a small smirk on his lips.
Well, I could see myself missing Niall a tad, but the person who would really miss Niall was going to be Harry and there was no doubt about that. Yeah…I was thinking about asking Niall on a tiny little date-thing the first day I met him, but that was all impulse. I’m actually glad I didn’t do it. I mean, I don’t like him that way, really, and knowing that Harry does makes me more happy that he was busy that day. Time to clear my head a tad.
“Psh! Of course, my little Nialler! Why would I not miss my Leprechaun!”
He rose a brow. "Your leprechaun?”
“Yes, my leprechaun! You have been claimed, my friend, and there’s no way out of it!”
It looked like the blonde was about to deny my words, but I was saved by the food! Yes! I thanked the waitress as she set the food down in front of us, Niall’s food actually covering up most of my side of the table as well. Maybe we should’ve sat at a table for four.
I took a sip of my tea before gaining a thought. “So, meet any other people in England during your stay or am I lucky?” I asked with a quick wink to him, making him chuckle softly under his breath.
“Well…I met a police officer. His name was Paul and he--”
I cut him off with a loud laugh. “You met Officer Paul! I love him! He’s super laid back! He’s actually my mum’s old friend. They met at a show or something. Oh! Sorry, but continue.”
He shook his head as if to dismiss my outburst before going on. I was interested to know who he had met, but I honestly was just waiting for one name in particular.
“Well, I met three other lads, but that’s it.”
“know their names? Numbers? Addresses?” I asked wiggling my eyebrows before picking up my sandwich.
“Names for two and one of them his name and number.” I grinned. It had to have been Harry! He told me he gave Niall his number, so it had to!
“Oh? This guy special?”
“Psh! Not like that! Me and Liam are just friends.” He laughed and I did too, though my insides were worried. He didn’t have Harry’s number? How was that possible? I mean… he ///////////////////////did give it to him. I know he did!
“Well that’s cool. Don’t forget about me and Liam when you go back to Mullingar, kay?” he smiled and nodded at me before he went back to his food- stuffing chips in his face as he did. It was actually pretty amusing to watch.
My best mate couldn’t stop running through my head and maybe that’s because a piece of me had heart for him. As much as I like-liked Harry, I wanted Niall to give him a chance. Maybe it’s because I just wanted him to be happy, even if it wasn’t with me.
Sometime passed and we just continued to talk about nothing really. It was a nice, long conversation about nothing. Just Ireland, my sisters, his brother, and just boring stuff like that. It was kind of a get-to-know-you outing, and it was really nice. It actually grew our tiny friendship into something of value now. We were mates in my book, and hopefully he felt the same way.
After an hour or two later my mum texted me asking to pick Charlotte, one of my little sisters, up from her friend’s house. I really didn’t want to, but it was kind of my job when mum went to work. “Sorry, Niall. I gotta go get my sister. Why don’t you shoot me a text later, yea?” Niall smiled and nodded before asking me the way back to his hotel, so I gave him some quick directions before I finished the last of my tea.
“Well, see you.” I gave him a small wave before getting ready to step out (don’t worry, I paid the waitress about twenty minutes ago). I was well on my way towards the door when my name was called by an Irish accent. Turning on my heels I turned to face him with a smile placed on my lips.
“Anything Goes…when is it?”
I furrowed my brows, but smiled a bit. “Next week. Sunday…why?”
Niall smiled at me before shrugging some. “Save me a seat?”
He wanted to see my show? What? That was crazy! Didn’t we just kind of meet and stuff. “Hell yeah. Consider your ticket brought and ready!” I cheered as I gave him a thumbs up. He nodded and then allowed me to be off to retrieve my sister, a small wave was given to me as I returned it, so I could walk out of the café alone.
As I walked down the sidewalk I couldn’t stop smiling. This new friendship I had with Niall was pretty cool, and I looked forward to hanging out with the lad a bit more before he had to go back to Ireland. And he was coming to my show! This was great! This was exciting! This was…not what my goal was today.
I was supposed to try and see if Harry had a chance with Niall and make him sound good to the blonde, so he’d give him a chance, but instead I just took that time for myself…Damn…I hope Harry doesn’t get too mad at me for this. That would be the worst…
