Nicolette
I opened the door to my law office and was greeted by the bright yellow walls and dark oak desk, my pictures hung on the walls in nice dark wooden frames, my windows had brown curtains that were tied back with yellow ribbon, and my bookcase stood flat against the wall. The smell of apple cinnamon settled in my nose and I tasted it on my tongue. I walked over to my stack of papers that were neatly placed on the corner of my desk beside the stapler. My Apple laptop was placed in the center of my desk and was opened to my recent case.
"Hello Dr.Matthews?" My secretary walked through the door with a smile. "Yes?" I replied. "Your case has been closed. The man didn't want custody anymore." Melissa retorted. The disappointment must have shown on my face because Melissa smiled at me and told me that I had several cases to work on. I smiled back, and Melissa left.
I had a major migraine. My head was pounding and my heart was sore. I tried to relax but my muscles hurt. I heard someone screaming. "Don't worry Nicolette , we will get you out. Keep breathing. You will be ok." I tried to open my eyes but they hurt. The taste of metallic pierced my tongue, it was my own blood. What the hell happened to me? Where was I?

I awoke in the hospital the next week. A nurse walked in. "Hello, Nicolette, how are you feeling?" I laughed, well I just got in a car accident, so how do you think I'm feeling." The nurses cheeks got red and I suddenly felt bad for making my comment. "I'm fine," I started," but my head hurts a little bit." The nurse looked relieved that I had answered her question. "The doctor will be here in a couple minutes, and he will give you more pain killers." Then the nurse walked out. My head was still pounding, but I could no longer taste the metallic taste of blood on my tongue. I was lost in my thoughts when all of a sudden a tall dark haired handsome man walked in. He looked about my age and had big blue eyes, his scent lingered across my nose and I took in a big sniff. He must have heard because he looked over at me with confusion and worry. "Are you ok?" The man asked. "Yes I'm fine." I said, but I started blushing anyways. "Who are-" I was interrupted by him,"I'm your doctor, the nurse said you needed pain killers?" I nodded. "My name is Janson." I smiled,"I'm sure you know my name but its Nicolette." He smiled back. "I'm going to put the pain killers in your IV now, you're going to get drowsy." I nodded and smiled. He injected the needle in the IV and pushed all the medication through. My eyes started getting heavy and I drifted to sleep.

I awoke several hours later, but for some odd reason I still felt tired. My headache was no longer present. I looked around the room, the dull white walls were boring and the one picture that hung on the wall looked like it had been painted by a two year old. The bed was uncomfortable and the tray of food that had been sitting beside me looked cold. A large window stood on a wall beside me and dark gray clouds surrounded the scenery of green. A small tv hung on a wall in front of me but the screen was black. My hospital room door was pushed open and Janson walked in. "How are you feeling Nicolette?"
I smiled at his presence, I was so happy he was here. My heart started racing and the heart monitor picked it up. "I'm doing a lot better thank you." I replied. The doctor smiled. I sat upright in my bed and pulled the covers off me, to my surprise I had no clothes on and my hospital gown hasn't been put back on. My cheeks grew red and I could feel the heat. Janson saw me and just smiled at me. I quickly pulled the covers over me, and tried to hide me embarrassment.
"When can I leave?"
Janson just stared at me, he looked disappointed. That's when I knew.
--------------------------------------------------
"You can leave tonight if you want. But you have to keep your heart monitor on and your IV in." Janson said it in a way that made my heart melt. It didn't seem as scary knowing that he was going to be the one monitoring me. I smiled,"ok." Janson left the room and I got up and got some clothes on. I looked in the mirror, my hair was hard from blood that had gotten on it. My face was bruised up and my left eye was swollen. I took off my clothes and walked to the bathroom. I turned the shower on and steam rose from behind the curtain. I got in a started bathing. The hot water soothed my bruises and cuts, I washed my hair carefully. After soaking in the shower I got out and put my clothes back on. Then I heard Janson's voice calling my name. He sounded hurt and worried.
