jfc this chapter ended up being way longer than I intended... but I bet you don't mind ;)
-------------------------
It was the morning of the wedding, and I was awake quite early. Vic was still dead asleep beside me, his arms and legs tangled around me. I shifted carefully to face him. This day was the last day we'd get to spend together for a while. "Tony and Mike are so fucking lucky." I murmured to myself.
"Mmm. . ." Vic then moaned softly. "Why are they lucky?" He asked, his voice still laced with sleep. He opened his eyes and looked at me questioningly.
I just shrugged a little. "Because they don't have to say goodbye."
Vic frowned and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closely. "I'll be back again before you know it. I promise." He whispered as he kissed the top of my head a few times. "Let's get up though, I bet we have to be at the venue soon."
I nodded and wriggled myself out of Vic's grasp. Right when I stepped out of the bed, he grabbed onto my wrist. "Hey. . ." He whispered with a little worry in his voice. "I love you."
I smiled a little and bent down to kiss him. "I love you too."
We got dressed pretty casually, packed what we needed, and met with everyone else downstairs. We were all being brought to the venue by taxis. According to Tony, the venue had dressing rooms where we could all get ready. It wasn't going to be a big wedding; just family and a few close friends. It's how they wanted it.
"Aren't you two, like, not supposed to see each other before the wedding?" I asked.
Mike just chuckled. "Traditionally, yeah. But I think you can rule out that we're a traditional couple." He pointed out with a smirk as he draped his arm around Tony's waist. And he had a point, really.
After Vic and I got dressed, we dressed the kids in little tuxedos and a dress, and then decided to take Kevin to his dads in the other dressing room. Both Oliver and Kellin were on complete opposite sides of the room, silently dressing themselves.
"Ah, sis, great. Can you help me out here?" Oli requested, throwing his tie in my direction. I rolled my eyes a little and started putting it on him.
"So uh, how are you and. . .?" I trailed off, nodding in Kellin's direction, who was in deep conversation with Vic at the time.
"We can tolerate each other." Oli muttered, sounding a little annoyed.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "That's not what I heard." That's definitely not what I heard. Why were they acting like they still hated each other after they. . . well, you know?
"Yeah, well, we were- hold on, what did you hear?"
"Something I prefer not to repeat, Oli. I actually think the entire hotel might've heard what went on in there." I mumbled in disapproval. God, I sounded just like my mother. Well, my former mother. . .
Oli laughed a little and stared off into the distance with a shit-eating grin on his face. "Yeah, the kid likes it rough."
I immediately tightened the tie around his neck, making him gulp and gasp for air. "That's too much information, thank you."
He glared down at me and adjusted the tie so it no longer strangled him.
"So. . . are you two back together or what?"
Oliver glanced back towards Kellin for a moment and then sighed. "I don't know what to tell you, sis. I mean, what happened. . . I think that was just built up frustrations. I'm not even sure if he still loves me." He sounded a little sad, and I felt bad for them all over. God these two were confusing as hell.
We didn't get much more time to talk about it though since Mike knocked on the door, asking if we were ready yet, since everyone else already was.
The ceremony wasn't the least bit traditional. The venue was small, but it made it more personal and intimate, which was nice. A few chairs were set out in front of the gazebo-like altar that stood against the back wall. There was no aisle and no music that went with it.
Mike's parents and Tony's mom and sister sat in the front row of the chairs. Jaime and Jessica sat in the row behind Tony's family, Vic and I behind the others, while having little Tony and Holly on our laps. And behind us were just a few more rows where Kellin, Oliver and a few other family members were.
I looked around the room for a moment, still finding it cute how it was decorated with white and golden drapes and dark flowers. Let's not forget the two hilarious guys dressed as Stormtroopers who stood at the entrance of the room, and the man who was marrying Tony and Mike dressed as. . . I think it was Dumbledore? God they were such nerds.
I glanced back and noticed how Oliver was smiling, looking in front of him to nothing in particular. Kellin, who was beside him, looked down with also a pretty obvious smile tugging at the corner of his lips. When I moved a little to see what was going on, I saw that they were holding hands. Well thank fuck for that one.
I nudged Vic softly and pointed at the two. When he saw the same thing that I did, he instantly smiled. "Took them long enough." He whispered.
"Longer than we did." I pointed out with a soft chuckle.
"Friends and family!" The Dumbledore figure began to talk in a cheery tone. Tony and Mike smiled at each other as they stood before us, holding each other's hands. "We are gathered here today to join these two men in holy matrimony."
"Amen!" Jaime yelled, causing everyone to laugh a little.
Dumbledore, as I decided to just call him, began his usual traditional speech, but was soon interrupted by Mike clearing his throat. "Sorry um- can we skip to the good part?" He asked, a little nervously.
"Eager, are we? I like that."
Tony giggled softly, a blush creeping onto his cheeks as Mike looked at him again. Dumbledore rubbed his hands together and smiled at the two.
"Michael Christopher Fuentes, do you take Cesar Antonio Perry to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
Mike squeezed Tony's hands. "I do." He said with a single nod.
Vic then gently grabbed onto my hand that rested on my own leg, beside where Holly was quietly sitting on my lap. He laced his fingers with mine and smiled at me with such adoration. I smiled back at him for a moment, and then focused back on Mike and Tony.
"And do you Cesar Antonio Perry, take Michael Christopher Fuentes to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
A mad smile spread from ear to ear on Tony's face. "Yeah, I definitely do." He said.
I could hear both Tony's mother and Vivian starting to blubber, and it almost made me want to cry too. I was just so happy for them.
"Are there rings, or was something less traditional arranged?" Dumbledore then asked.
Mike chuckled a little, still holding tightly onto Tony's hands. "No, we went traditional for this part." He said, nodding towards Vic beside me.
Vic then lifted little Tony off his lap and stood up, searching his pockets. "Oh man, I totally forgot about the rings." He muttered, letting his jaw drop and smacking his forehead.
"You what?!" Mike practically squealed.
Vic then simply began to laugh. "I was just kidding, little brother." He admitted with a smirk as he walked over to the altar and handed his brother the two rings. Mike didn't look very amused though.
"And this, mister and missus Fuentes, is why your oldest son still isn't married." Jaime informed, leaning over between the two and earning a laugh from literally everyone in the room.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, husbands." Dumbledore happily announced after the two had put their rings on each other. "You may now kiss." And they did not need to be told twice.
We all cheered and clapped as they embraced each other and kissed passionately. It was such a simple but beautiful ceremony. The next thing that happened was a little unexpected though. Instead of flowers being thrown by the bride in a traditional ceremony, Tony took off his snapback and threw it at the guests.
Who wears a suit with a snapback anyways? Oh wait, all of these guys did. Well, except Jaime.
My eyes widened as I saw the black hat coming right at me. I caught it just in time before it would hit little Holly in the head. She started cheering and so did the rest.
"Well, you're basically screwed now, my friend." Jaime pointed out, throwing Vic a teasing wink.
I chuckled a little and shook my head. "Oh just let it go, Hime-time."
Vic took the hat from me, placed it on top of my head and kissed my cheek. He didn't say a word though. He just smiled.
After the ceremony was over, we all went back to the hotel and sort of partied there. It was a moderate type of partying with not as much alcohol, but it was still a lot of fun. We had cake and laughed about college stories. It was a nice night, considering we were all going our separate ways in the morning.
And of course, that morning came way too soon. "Come on Holly, Tony, stay close to me, alright?" I told them just for good measure as we all walked through the busy Vegas airport. As we neared our gates, we had to say goodbye to everyone. It was the moment I always dreaded. But at the same time I was happy.
First I went to hug Mike and Tony simultaneously. "Have fun on your honeymoon tour guys." I told them with a chuckle. Yeah it sounded weird, but they said they considered the tour to be their honeymoon. They were visiting Europe too after all and had some time off between a few of their shows.
I went over to Jaime and just screwed up his hair with a smile. "Please keep them all safe for me, will you?"
He frowned disapprovingly at me messing up his hair. "Then who's supposed to keep me safe?" He pointed out. I simply rolled my eyes and walked off.
Kellin. God, I was going to miss him. He was only gonna tour around America, but still. I pulled him into a tight hug, practically squeezing the air from his lungs. "I'm not gonna die, you know? Although, I might be if you keep crushing me like that." He mumbled a little out of breath.
I giggled softly and loosened my grip on him. "Sorry." He then kissed my forehead and smiled. "So how's things between you and grumpy?" I decided to finally ask, really wanting to know the answer before they left.
"We're good." Kellin said with confidence as he smiled over at Oliver, who was standing a few feet away with Kevin in his arms.
"Yeah, I thought so. Took you long enough. But really though Kells, a daddy kink? I thought you had more class than that. I think my brother corrupted you." I teased him as I poked his chest over and over. Kellin's face turned a million shades of red as he stared at Oliver.
It was a sign for him to come over. "Your flight is boarding, love." Oli whispered sadly, his smile slowly fading. Kellin was meeting up with his band mates in Florida before they were heading out on tour.
"I know, I'm sorry." Kellin sighed apologetically. "But I'll be back before you know it. It's just two months. I'll miss you, and. . . I love you."
That seemed to make Oliver feel a lot better. He perked up a bit and started smiling again. "I love you too, Kells. And we're definitely gonna miss you, aren't we Kevin?" Kevin then nodded and reached out to Kellin, wanting to be hugged. Kellin did just that and gave Oliver a last kiss.
I quickly turned to Vic and lunged at him. He caught me in his arms and nuzzled my neck. "I'll miss you." He whispered softly.
"I'll miss you too, but we'll call and text and whatever. Go have fun and come back with lots of stories to tell about how amazing or how shitty Europe is, okay?" I told him, trying my hardest to hold back the tears. I mean, could you blame me? Of course I was happy for Vic, I seriously was, but I missed him like hell when he was gone. And this tour was even longer than the last one.
Vic pulled back a little and looked at me, smiling gently. "I'll call you every night and tell you everything that happened every day, alright?" I simply nodded. He then smiled a little wider and kissed me deeply. But that was soon cut short by the announcement of my flight boarding too.
Vic then let go of me and bent down to hug the kids. "Be good to mama, okay?" He told them both.
"Papa not coming?" Holly asked a little confused.
Vic shook his head. "Nope, papa has to play music for people. But papa will be back before you know it. Then we can do something fun for Christmas, okay?"
Of course merely by the sound of the word Christmas, they both started cheering. I almost couldn't believe he was going to be away for that long, but we'd be alright.
"So papa is coming back?" Tony then asked, fumbling around with his fingers.
Vic smiled and kissed the top of his head. "Papa will always come back. Promise."
"Pinky promise?"
He nodded and laced his pinkies with both of their little hands. "Pinky promise."
