I got up as usual and continued my normal fixed morning routine of taking a bath, shampooing my hair, drying my hair and all those stuff. And like my schedule, I would be late again for the bus and I was now, in fact, running around my house to get my stockings with a sandwich in my mouth.
"Have you found those socks of yours?" shouted dad from downstairs.
"Yea!" I said as I slipped on my bag and socks and of course the shoes, as I pretty much glided down the stairs on the handle of the stairs.
"Hey! It's dangerous if you keep doing that, you'll hurt your head again" scolded dad but I managed to make him smile again.
"Really gotta go dad, love ya!" I said and quickly hugged him. After I finished the sandwich, I ran to the bus stop and gladly when the time I arrived at the bus stop, the bus was already there and was about to go.
"Late again Miss Choi" greeted the driver of the bus. I knew that uncle because he was a friend of my dad's.
"Better late then never" I teased him back as I searched for an empty seat. Fortunately, the bus wasn't too crowded like it used to be so it's easier for me.
Then I found a seat beside a window and decided to take that seat instead. As I put down the books on my hand onto my lap, I looked over beside me and shockingly, I saw Jimin sitting at a seat across from me at the side. As expected, Jimin snarled at me and rolled his eyes. Well for me, I just smirked disgustingly back at him.
After a couple of minutes on the bus, I arrived at the school and quickly took my things to go to school. As I entered the school's property, I was greeted by the faces of students in this school who looked at me weirdly.
Well, that seriously broke my spirit today.
Then I heard a couple of two girls of my classmates whispering to each other.
"Yaa, what should we do, the killing is still going on! I can't hurt my pretty face. I had just done plastic surgery on my face to look very cute yesterday. Aww" one of the girls said.
"Just quit the school, what's the big deal?" her friend replied, a matter of factly.
"What- no!! There are so many hot guys here, so I don't wanna quit!" a girl whined.
"Then just go with it. So the lesson is, you don't need to be pretty as an angel to have a handsome boyfriend" her friend replied with a teasing yet funny smile.
They end up laughing and hit each other playfully like what friends usually do. Looking at them made me sad a little bit because I don't have any memories of my past friends.
I still made my way towards my class and entered it. As most of the students in my class had arrived, suddenly the door of my class opened ajar by some guy I don't know. He totally hot everyone's attention.
He came rushing in and tried to catch up to his breath. He puffed a few airs and steadied himself to talk to us.
"The principal wants everyone to evacuate the building now! It's Mr. Rose again.. Huh!" the man said and left the class. Then the students stood up normally without panicking and packed all of their things to go out of the class. Why is everyone felt so normal of this?
The teacher had just entered the class because the class was about to start and just facepalmed. She just let all of them go and decided to go too.
In just a blink of an eye, the class was empty. Only me and the teacher packing all of her stuff. I walked up to the teacher and offer her a hand.
"No, it's okay. You should go to the auditorium because it's not safe here anyway.."
"what makes you think like that? And. Who's Mr. Rose??" I asked, frowning.
"it's the killer chain since last year. Every student is being killed every month and it's tiring. Mr. Rose is called like that because-"
"Soeun! We should go back" A guy cut the teacher off and walked into the class. I turned my back to look at who it is and knew who it is already. That annoying Jimin.
"What are you doing here? I'm just helping our teacher, don't you see??" I said irritatingly.
"Yup, I can see that but the thing is, the principal wants us to evacuate the class building now. It's dangerous"
"It doesn't mean I can't help my teacher," I said standing up for my opinion.
"Yup it is, right teacher?" Jimin asked the teacher to stand on his side. My eyes widened in anger, he used the teacher to make me lose. How dare he.
"You love birds stop arguing, just go. I'm okay Soeun, I know you just wanted to help but I can on my own" the teacher put a hand on my shoulder and looked at me with sorrows.
Then my sight turned to something else I don't know. Then I knew what's happening. I'm experiencing the teacher's history of life. I saw the teacher trying to get into the house which was on fire. The firefighters don't let her enter the house because it was dangerous.
The teacher cried hard while trying to get past them. The teacher remembered when her daughter said that she could help her by getting her precious thing which was her family locket. Then the scenery changed at a funeral. I saw the teacher at her daughter's funeral, crying non-stop. I felt pity for her. Before I could walk in and look at her daughter's picture, the sight came into a normal state.
"Yaa!!! Soeun-ah!" shouted Jimin from behind. I abruptly steadied myself.
"I-I'm okay..." I said. I blinked a few times to adjust to my current state. The teacher looked at me worried. Who knows what'll happen to a new student and then the killing suddenly began.
"Are you even okay? Ah, forget it" Jimin said and with those words, he pulled my wrist and dragged me out of the class. I tried to wriggle out from his grasp but no can do.

"Don't..! Erghh" I tried to pull my hand away from his grip.
"Don't resist! Just follow me" he said. Then an idea struck my head. Before I could even act out the idea, someone already stood in front of us.
"Jimin, let her go and we'll take her from here," Jennie said demanding at Jimin as she stopped in front of him. Rose, Lisa, and Jisoo were with her.
Jimin hesitated and gave an alarming look at them but they won't even budge. At last Jimin gave up and slowly let go of my hand. He spares one more glance before he went away for good.
"Jeez, what is wrong with that guy?" Rosé said with sarcasm.
"Anyway... Everyone is supposed to gather at the auditorium but I guess we all can skip that right?" Jennie said to us and winked.
"What if.," I said hesitating.
"Nah, the teacher's here are a bunch of jokes so let's go!" Lisa said reassuring me. Actually, I was scared about getting scold by the teacher and getting into detention. After that, my father will get called and I'm doomed afterward.
But what's the big deal here, maybe by following them, I could get one or two things about Mr. Rose since Mr. Rose's girlfriend to commit suicide and it was their friend too.
"Today on our list.. we're going to the mall~!" said Jennie cheerily and the others supported by squealing in happiness. For me, I just put on a wry smile. In a second, they started rushing for me to go out of the school's property and towards a parking lot near the school.
Then I arrived in front of an expensive looking car which was in a red color. I was in awe at the moment.
"No need to be so surprised Soeun because this car is now especially for the 5 of us! Come on board!" Jennie said excitedly. Wow, didn't realize she would be this energetic. Well, who didn't like having a car and out shopping.
Weirdly, a type of happiness grew inside of me and I think skipping school isn't that bad when you have a good purpose. Well, for us it is a good purpose.
"Let's go~!" I said after them and we excitedly board the car. I sat at the back with Rose and Jisoo beside me while Lisa sat at the passenger seat and Jennie decided to drive it. We were all so pumped.
"Okay girls. The first ritual before going out shopping is.." Jennie said and waited for us to answer.
"Open the music!!" said Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo together. Then Jennie instantly opened the music and the song 'Kill 'em with Kindness' by Selena Gomez blared out from the player list of the car.
Along the journey, we all sang along the music and other pop songs that were on trend now. I mean, what could possibly go wrong for today right?
