Before you begin reading When Home Left Me Too Soon, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself.
My name is Tina, and this story is a piece of my heart.
This book is about love, loss, family, and finding yourself after life changes in ways you never expected. While Amara's story is fictional, many of the emotions, struggles, and lessons throughout this book come from real feelings that so many people experience when they lose someone who meant everything to them.
I wanted to write a story that reminds people that grief does not have a timeline. Losing someone doesn't mean you stop loving them, and healing doesn't mean you forget them. Sometimes healing is learning how to carry the memories while still allowing yourself to live.
To anyone who has ever lost someone, felt like they had to grow up too soon, or wondered how they were supposed to keep going when life changed forever, I hope you find a piece of yourself somewhere in these pages.
