MOTIVATION:
With so little social life with people her own age, it gets very lonely, but she also wants friends to show her family—her mother especially—that everything will be alright. That she needn't worry about her.
HISTORY:
Zandra's mother was shunned and nearly killed several times. She met her soon-to-be husband visiting an island, and they decided to move to the US to become citizens [1972]. Once Alexandra was born, she had been homeschooled because of her mother's over protectiveness. Alexandra had become just as fearful after seeing her mother's dreams. Her father is a scholar, with no limit to the number of questions, which Zandra inherited.
Because her mother was worried about what Zandra was seeing in her dreams, she found and contacted Dr. Phillips to ask what could be done. Zandra soon became enrolled at Fintan's Academy. Zandra is fairly shy, cautious, but is always willing to help out if it means she gains a new friend, but because of this, she can be easily taken advantage of. Sometimes, however, she's too nosy, and asks too many questions.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Zandra is Upshaw's roommate at Fintan's Academy. She doesn't prey on blood, but on pure energy, which she always asks permission first. She can eat "human' food, but energy is what sustains her because most vampire species can't maintain or restore their own energy the way humans can. While drinking blood is an option, Zandra is hemophobic—something that happened while seeing one of her mother's dreams.
