Morning light slipped through the windows of the Wistal palace as you walked into the office of the Queen. You walked in with practiced grace. Haruto Wistaria stood behind an elegantly decorated table covered in reports. If the queen herself asked you to come, that means this must be a serious matter. You glanced around the large, beautiful room till your eyes landed near one of the windows.
There stood the Crown Prince. Izana Wistaria, known for his cold, sarcastic and distant personality. But you know underneath that controlled expression, there's warmth. Warmth for his brother. Warmth for his people.
But you're not entirely sure what you had to do with anything here. You're just a scholar in Lilias academy. Your family had known the royal family but you had nothing to do with the palace. Now you stood in front of the two most powerful people in the whole kingdom with no idea about what you were summoned for.
You fidgeted with your sleeves nervously. You put your hands down quickly but you started it again, unconsciously. Haruto smiled and her smile managed to calm you down a bit. Then,
"You're nervous." You turned sharply to the sound of Izana. You shrugged.
"How are you so sure?" This time it was Haruto who spoke. Izana slowly turned from the window.
"You touched your sleeves 13 times." He said it like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"You counted?!" Your cheeks turned pink. Izana looked at you and you flushed harder.
"Alright. Y/N, do you know why you're here?" Haruto jumped in and you shook your head.
Haruto nodded and went on, "I've seen your reports at Lilias. And I've chosen you specifically."
"For what exactly, your majesty?" You asked, your eyes narrowing suspiciously.
"I've come to a decision. I think you're suitable for my son." Haruto glanced at Izana. Your eyes widened as you finally understood what was happening.
"I've chosen you as Izana's fiancee"
