Am walking down the school hallway from class when I notice a familiar figure at the door , it was my friend Julian. I was pretty tired from all the classes I had today. I walk towards her head down hiding the smile on my face. She was not a student, she wore a loose shirt with a white t-shirt inside then a pair of loose black pants. Damn this girl , some strands of her hair hanged loosely on her face and her hands pocketed.
" Hey you ! " , I said catching her attention back as she seemed lost staring at me.
" Hey me " , she answered calmly.
I didn't alter another word just walked passed her . She followed closely behind me . I lived in the students hostel so we walked past the academic block to the hostels. Not a word from either of us . It was just a three minutes walk but it felt like a whole hour.
Air was tight in my chest , every step felt heavy . Couldn't help but hold tightly to my backpack.
Ever since I started crushing on her it was unbearable to be relaxed around her.
I couldn't help myself from glancing at her when she was not paying attention.
Now she was right behind me , silent , my thoughts were running wild. Why is she not saying a word ? What's inside her head?
I wanted to turn around and look at her but I could bring myself to doing that. I wished to walk faster so we could get to somewhere where she wouldn't be behind my back.
We got to my door , I tried getting my keys from my backpack then ended up spilling all my books to the floor. She was down before me then grab the keys first and handed them to me .
She nodded for me to open the door as she picked up the books inspecting one by one.
My small white diary got her attention and all she did was hum as she smiled lightly. I realised I had done anything when she stood up infront of me we all the books in her hands.
I was right there between the locked door and her.
I could hear my own breath rising. I saw one of her hands rising, i couldn't flinch.
She reached for a loose strand of hair and tucked it behind my ear as she traced her fingers down my neck.
I didn't realise how but my eyes locked on there own. By the time I opened then her eyes were just staring at me. I turned quickly and opened the door.
We hadn't made any plans so I wasn't sure what to do after we got to my room. I went straight to the bathroom for shower.
I didn't realise I overstayed in the shower until she spoke spoke out " Did you die in there sweetheart? " I cleared my throat then shouted i was almost done.
This was a student's hostel not a luxury hotel room so from where she was seated she could see the entire room. I walked passed my study table and headed to my wardrobe.
I stood there for a minute before I felt warm hands around my shoulders, then she pulled out a short black dress and handed it over to me.
I froze there waiting for her to move, she hesitated for a second then moved two steps back and sat on my bed.
I wanted to speak, maybe tell her to move or something but her eyes were fixed right at me. A second passed then another.
" Get dressed , it's getting late we have along drive ".
She said in a low steady tone.
I took that as an advantage to create a conversation as got dressed to distract her from staring but still.
I managed to get dressed despite having her eyes fixed on my body. Not that am insecure about my body but something about her eyes made me nervous.
