On a hot, sunny day, Tsubaki walked smiling through the city streets, proud of having enjoyed another productive day of class.
The day's theme had been dessert, and her heart pounded with anticipation at the thought of trying everything she had learned.
She had enjoyed class so much that she couldn't wait to apply her new skills.
As she walked, she spotted her kouhai, Himari, leaving a familiar ice cream shop, with a radiant smile and several cones in hand.
Curious, she approached.
"Hello, Himari! How are you?" Tsubaki greeted her, with a friendly air.
"Ohhh!!! Tsubaki-senpai, hello!" Himari replied, waving cheerfully.
"I see you're enjoying your day. You really love sweets, don't you?" Tsubaki asked, observing the size of the ice cream.
"Yes! I love them!" Himari exclaimed, making an expression of pure happiness. "Actually, I'd like to spend the whole day eating sweets."
"Heavens, I'm a little envious of you! How can you eat so much and still look so healthy?" Tsubaki joked.
"But it's not always like that, senpai!" Himari laughed, a little embarrassed. "If I overdo it, my agent will give me a serious scolding!"
"Well, your agent isn't here right now, so you can enjoy yourself!" Tsubaki said, winking.
Himari hesitated for a moment and then paused thoughtfully.
"You know, senpai, it's just that... I left home with little money and didn't expect to want more sweets besides ice cream."
Tsubaki thought quickly and came up with an idea.
"Today I learned how to make a refreshing dessert! How about coming over to try it?"
Himari's eyes lit up at the word "dessert." The excitement was palpable!
When they arrived at the Kinoshita's house, Tsubaki added a playful touch to the situation.
"Would you like to try a cream unlike any you've ever seen before? Velvety, smooth, and completely frozen?"
Himari hesitated for a moment before asking:
"Are you talking about... ice cream?"
Tsubaki laughed and replied:
"Almost! It's a dessert that combines ice cream and cake."
Himari's curiosity grew, and she asked eagerly,
"What is it, senpai? What is it?"
"You'll have to wait to find out!" Tsubaki replied, in a playful tone.
She went to the refrigerator and began to gather the ingredients: eggs, milk, vanilla extract, two types of chocolate, and sugar.
Himari watched attentively as Tsubaki mixed and beat the ingredients, making everything look like a fun dance.
In a short time, Tsubaki shaped the dessert and placed everything in the refrigerator.
While she fiddled with the refrigerator knobs, she noticed her kouhai watching her.
"Wow!" Himari exclaimed. "You're amazing, Tsubaki! You move all over the kitchen without getting in your own way!"
Tsubaki blushed slightly at the compliment.
"Thank you, but it wasn't always like this! In the beginning, I made a lot of mistakes."
"Senpai making mistakes?" "I doubt it!" Himari said, laughing.
After a few minutes, the refrigerator beeped, signaling that the dessert was ready.
Tsubaki took the container out of the freezer and grabbed two plates and cutlery.
They sat down at the table, full of anticipation.
"Please, help yourself!" Tsubaki offered.
Himari couldn't contain her excitement when she took the first spoonful.
As soon as the sweet treat hit her tongue, an explosion of flavors enveloped her.
"Tsubaki-senpai, what is this? It looks like ice cream, but it has the texture of cake!" said the kouhai, her eyes shining.
"This is called semifreddo, or if you prefer, semifrozen dessert." "It's a refreshing dessert created in Italy!" Tsubaki explained with a satisfied smile.
Himari's admiration only grew as she watched her senior striving to achieve her dreams.
They spent the afternoon laughing, sharing stories and treats, forging stronger bonds with each spoonful.
Deep down, they both knew that this moment wasn't just about desserts.
It was about friendships formed through a love of sweets and the joy of sharing it.
