Synopis
An apartment with one bedroom, a hall, and a kitchen. It is beautifully decorated with elegant décor, a comfortable couch, and a dining table for four people. The bedroom has beautiful paintings, mostly related to nature.
Wait... I forgot to introduce our hero.
Meet Nathan Theodore, also known as Teddy, an architect. He lives in the heart of New York. He has a girlfriend, and they have been engaged for two months. Her name is Josephine Ursula Renet, a fashion designer who works at Bloomsbury.
Teddy was on-site at work. His toe had been injured and had not yet healed. Unfortunately—or perhaps fortunately—he stepped on a cockroach. The cockroach, a highly adaptive creature, injected its enzyme into his body, which altered him.
When the cockroach bit Teddy, it transferred unique genetic material into his bloodstream. This foreign DNA began to merge with his own cells, slowly rewriting his biology. Cockroaches are known for their extreme survival abilities. Their DNA carries adaptive traits that allow them to endure harsh conditions.
As the mutation progressed, Teddy's body began to change. His senses sharpened, his perception of time altered, and he started experiencing repeated time cycles. The fusion of human and cockroach DNA created a neurological loop, which makes him wake up at the time the cockroach activates.
The cockroach was actually once a human—a lab tester who later transformed into a cockroach. After escaping the lab, it sought help. It could temporarily take human form, but eventually reverted to its cockroach state and bit Teddy.
Teddy returned home. It was almost midnight, and he felt very strange. He woke up at 2:30 AM and began to panic. Slowly, he felt small wings growing out of him. He felt extremely uncomfortable in his own body.
He tried to sleep and drank some water. By 4:30 AM, he finally fell asleep.
The next morning, his fiancée arrived. He told her everything that had happened. His fiancée comforted him. He asked her to help him understand what was happening and to ease his fear. He was fearing the loss of his fiancée.
He became trapped in a time loop connected to the cockroach. Lights began to appear strange to him. His fiancée became scared of his behaviour, but she continued to support him.
He started hearing the sounds of cockroaches and eventually began receiving signals from them. Slowly, he started to exist in both worlds.
Before all of this, everything had been observed by the human who had turned into a cockroach—Scientist Charles Rent. He approached Teddy in human form, bringing him unfamiliar objects and attempting to communicate, though Teddy could not fully understand him.
'HOME' Charles whispered while Teddy was walking in fear , tension and loss.
