Several weeks have passed since she was brought to this...horror house. While she was glad that she was being kept away from the other occupants of this...Dark place, she wished she had someone to talk to, other than her guardian.

She was grateful for him though, he was very much unlike the other occupants that lived in this castle. She often wondered why he was even here. Why the others hadn't killed him off or kicked him out.

Sundune was kind, respectful, gentle, and thoughtful. She couldn't believe he was even associated with this awful place.

Kai sighed softly to herself, wishing for company.

While she hadn't left the safety of Sundune's quarters, she was told about everything that went on outside. Sundune would come back from patrolling the borders and inform her on his day, he could always tell what she was thinking, what she wanted to know. It was nice of him to tell her everything, leaving nothing out. She sometimes wished he had left something out. The sightings of fights and abuse, torture and punishment that went on was something she could live without.

It was a few days ago that she was told of the sighting of the little she-devil.

She had swarmed him with questions once she was told that he caught sight of Vera after he had delivered some weapons to the Prince.

It was after he had informed her of everything, that she wished she hadn't...

She had fisted her hands in his shirt and asked,

"Is she alright? How is she? She isn't hurt is she? What are they doing with her?"

He gave her a blank face that gave nothing away, but she could see the uneasiness in his eyes.

He informed her of what he saw and knew.

"The prince allowed me into his room to set the supplies in his quarters. When I turned to bow and leave, was when I saw her. She was chained to the wall...injured. She was staring into space with a scowl."

"What do you mean she was injured? How hurt was she?"

"It seemed that had gotten into a bad fight. There were tears in her clothes and scratches as well as bruises on her skin. My guess is that the Prince is getting her loose of those chains a few times and fighting with her for entertainment."

At that, she was sick and angry. How could these people be so horrible?

Yet, she felt even worse knowing that there wasn't much she could do to help her friend. Though they barely knew each other, it felt like they have been friends before, perhaps in another life.

Currently, she sat silently on the floor, skimming through a worn book that Sundune had given her, 'To help pass the time'. She didn't really know what it was about, she was just scanning over the pages, distractedly. Sundune was on his patrol today, meaning she was alone again until he came back.

Sighing, Kai let herself fall back onto the floor, landing with a faint 'thump'. "Why am I hear if I'm just going to be kept away inside a room all the time?" She groaned lowly and rolled onto her side, her blue gaze staring blankly at the hard floor in front of her.

"You're here to serve me. You're waiting for that is over." The voice that suddenly, unexpectedly sounded, made her heart drop in shock and slight fear. She felt like she momentarily died due to her shock.

Kai shot up, spinning around to face who spoke. To her dread, it was who she thought it was. It seemed her praying for it being someone else, heck, even the 'Snake man' would have been nice.

Standing not five feet from her was the reason she had protection all this time, why she worried for her friend, why she was scared right now. Before her stood the Prince of this Dark place. His dark smoldering gaze was locked onto her firmly, making her feel like he was looking into her soul with those dark soulless eyes of his.

She swallowed slowly and somehow managed to look like she was calm in his presence. Though her heart was beating faster than normal, that is for sure. Just as she opened her mouth to speak, he beat her to it.

"Come." He commanded firmly, then turned and walked right out of the door, turning down the hall, not looking back. Kai stared after him for a moment, trying to get her mind to work. A moment later, she did as he commanded and followed after him slowly, her hands raising up to grasp her upper arms lightly, trying to steel herself.

She shivered when she heard a quiet, cold chuckle directly by her ear. "My, my, are we heading to the slaughter house already?" Greyfang questioned as he passed, stepping closer to Kai then he should have.

He paused, leaning in closer just as they passed, pressing a cold kiss to her cheek. "Have fun, little pet!" The grey haired male whispered softly, almost with a tone of longing before he continued on his way forward, making his way to walk side by side with his Dark Prince. "Good day, your highness."

Kai raised a hand and rubbed at her cheek harshly, desperately trying to get the chilling feel off of her cheek. She glared at the back of Greyfang's head with an annoyed look as they moved down the hall, her following just a few steps behind the two males. She lowered her gaze to the ground, but kept her attention on what was being said between the two men before her.

"Greyfang." Darkfire acknowledged the other male, keeping his emotionless gaze set forward. "Don't you have somewhere to be?"

The silver eyed male offered a sly smile and chuckled, "No, not at the moment. I saw the little pet and wondered what was going on. Perhaps you are taking to your quarters? I still haven't seen the other captive you have hidden away in your room, sir. I'm 'oh so' curious. Mind if I tail along, your highness?" Greyfang questioned smoothly, eyes flashing in excitement at the thought of catching a peak of the hidden captive. He was on patrol when everything happened that day, he didn't get to see what happened.

The talk of what happened made him jealous and curious. He wanted to meet the little, what everyone took to calling, Demon woman. Though, meeting the little pet was nice and interesting. He found he rather had a lingering interest in the blue eyed woman that followed them quietly.

He turned his head to glance back at the auburn haired woman. As he said before, She was indeed beautiful, truly a pleasure for the eyes. He found his gaze always lingered a bit longer then normal when gazing at her. He often watched her, though, unseen of course. Oh how he wanted her.

Greyfang faced forward again, his gaze sliding over to Prince Darkfire. The question itching to be asked. But he kept his silence and waited for his answer, "If you get in my way, you'll lose your head." Darkfire rumbled in a dark warning tone, his dark brown eyes sliding over to lock onto Greyfang's own silver gaze. He was satisfied when he caught the silver eyed man's wince due to his intense and harsh look.

Greyfang all but dropped to the floor in a deep bow, "Of course, my Prince." Greyfang hated to admit it, but the one thing he truly feared was the Prince. Heck, he could stand the King, but for some reason, the Prince made 'him' get a chill of fear go straight down his spine even with a slight glance of those dark, bottomless eyes.

Prince Darkfire was an immovable force that stood strong against all who he come in contact with. Everyone, everything feared him. Yet it seemed there was one exception. The little she-cat that had caused trouble all those weeks ago, taking down several guards and warriors by herself. She even took on the prince from what was said, which to everyone else, was unbelievable. Oh how he wished he was there that day to see what happened.

Greyfang straightened and quietly followed his Prince down the hall, his excitement growing with each step they took, getting closer and closer to the Prince's quarters, where the little demon woman was held.

Kai glanced up, feeling her own feelings rise at the thought of seeing Vera. Biting her lip to keep herself from speaking, she took a slow breath and raised her head, taking the time to scan her gaze over both males, easily establishing differences between them.

Greyfang's figure was relaxed, shoulders slouched slightly. He was light colored compared to the Prince that was beside him. His skin complexion was pale, his hair grey, and eyes silver. He gave off a sly, sneaky aura.

Darkfire held himself high, shoulders straight and squared. He has a light tan complexion that matched his dark brown hair and dark brown, almost black eyes. The aura around him was strong, unyielding even. It had a sense of darkness to it that made you want to keep alert around him at all times. Knowing that he was indeed a predator that could easily take your life from you if he wished to.

Kai stopped when they stopped, turning her gaze away from the men and to a large, important looking door that was most likely the Princes room. The didn't waste any time in opening the door and going inside, she followed silently, her eyes darting around in search of a chained female.

Kai caught sight of a frowning Vera before she stopped in surprise along with the two men she had accompanied at the position that the long haired girl was in with a certain white haired male from before.
