You could hear panting, Han running like his life depended on it.
Rain hammered down, soaking his hair, his clothes, every thought in his mind racing faster than his feet.
One knock was heard, then the second.
That was all it took.
All that was needed.
Lee Know opened the door and immediately knew why he was there.
Han stood dripping, shivering slightly, and Lee Know's frown softened into worry.
"Han... why are you out in the rain?" he asked, voice tight with concern.
"I... I needed to get out" Han admitted, stepping inside.
"I couldn't stay there anymore, all that noise... in my head.
It just... it wouldn't stop.
And then I remembered, you told me that I could always come if I needed to, So I came."
Lee Know didn't speak at first.
He just wrapped him in a warm towel, then pulled soft blankets around him, hands lingering like he wanted to transfer his warmth to him.
Han sank into the comfort, letting the quiet surround him for a moment.
Then, quietly, he began to talk.
"The day, it was hard.
Everything piled up, everything screaming at me.
Every line that needs to be written within the deadline.
Every choreography needed mesmerising.
I tried to drown it out, music too loud, thoughts too fast... but nothing worked."
Lee Know listened, nodding, letting him speak.
"You don't have to hide it," he said gently.
"Not here. Not with me."
And slowly, Han let it out the frustration, the chaos, the exhaustion.
Lee Know held him like the world was only the two of them, like the storm outside didn't exist.
Their bodies intertwined, as if they depended on it.
As if letting go would mean losing something fragile.
Han whispered,
"My mind is always messy, always running at full speed.
I blast loud, screaming music in my ears just to calm it down.
But the second I'm with you, it's like someone finally pressed the off button.
The noise disappears.
The chaos fades.
My mind, it just goes blank
And for a moment, I can finally breathe."
Like the quiet in their room,
they both knew this was their safe place.
Not just walls and a ceiling.
but a feeling they carried within each other.
Wherever one of them would be,
it would mean home.
Outside, the rain kept falling softly,
but inside, everything felt still.
Not empty just peaceful, full, quite.
