Hey guys I did it again. I forgot to upload on sunday i'm so sorry! But it is here now so i hope you enjoy it. Just a heads up though I will not be uploading next sunday because I am going on a short trip! So you all are just going to have to wait a little bit :)

Chapter 42: Simplement en Regardant

Malia's POV

I was awake but I had yet to open my eyes. I was trying to take in my surroundings with closed eyes. I could feel the sunlight pouring in from the windows and attempting to open my eyelids but I denied them the right. I felt warm. I felt a body. I ran my hands along the person's chest and was surprised when I found it bare. I quickly opened my eyes to see my hand resting on Matt's shirtless chest. He was still sound asleep. I sat up a little and surveyed the room. Carter wasn't in the room. That didn't really surprise me. I wouldn't have wanted to sleep in a room where Lily and her boyfriend were cuddling together even if they were asleep. Or he just got up early.

I looked back down at Matt. He was beautiful. I ran my hand gently through his hair while staring at his face absorbing every little detail. My eyes scanned down from his face to his jawline, to his neck, to his collar bones, to his broad shoulders, to his biceps, to his forearms, to his hands, to his long fingers. I scanned his chest taking my time to admire the view I was provided with. His abs were enough to make my heart flutter at just the sight and I couldn't help but stare at gently run my hands along them. I felt Matt stiffen underneath my touch and I looked up to his face. I saw his eyes were open and he was staring at me. I didn't say anything but I continued to run my hands up and down his chest making him shiver slightly. I made my way back up to him and kissed him softly.

"Good morning Matt," I say quietly into his ear with a smile. Today was the day everyone would meet my grandparents and I couldn't be more excited.

"Good morning Malia," He answered back with a smile. His hands were around my arms and they were just running up and down. I know it sounds weird but it was quite comforting.

"Are you nervous?" I ask him as I sit crisscross applesauce on the bed. He sighs and pushes himself up so he is sitting up as well. He pulls me into his lap so I am facing him and my legs wrap around his torso. He grabs my hands and holds them and looks into my eyes.

"I am a little bit, but overall I am just really excited to meet your grandparents. I mean they are related to you so they must be amazing," He remarks with a smile. My eyes brighten and I blush but I didn't attempt to hide it. I wrapped my arms around Matthew and laughed.

"Thanks. Don't be nervous I know they will love you just as much as I do," I tell him with confidence.

"You sure? That would be kind of weird I mean I'm sure I will love your grandparents but I don't want to date them," He says uncertainly but I could tell he was joking. I just gave him a look that said 'you knew what I meant'. He laughed at my face and kissed me. I was caught off guard by the kiss but didn't hesitate to kiss back. He slipped his tongue in and his hands went from waist to cup my cheeks. My arms were wrapped around his neck. I felt him turn himself around and start to lay back down on the bed. I knew we wouldn't do anything other than a heavy make out session so I wasn't worried. I was straddling Matt at this point and his hands were now on my hips. I started to gently grind my hips into his crotch and I could feel him harden immediately. He was only in boxers and nothing else. His grip on my hips instantly tightened when I did so and he looked at me sharply. I smirked and continued to roll my hips into him.

"Uh," Matt let out a low husky groan and it was so attractive. I had to refrain from letting out a moan from the sound that came out of his mouth. I continued grinding into him but it was painfully slow and I knew Matt didn't like it. "Stop teasing," He breathed out, his fingers were now digging into my skin around my hip bones but in a way it only turned me on more. I smirked at his words and instantly picked up the pace rocking my hips.

"Malia?" I heard Lily call my name from down the hall and she didn't seem too far away from the door, "Malia? Are you awake?" She asked as she knocked on the door. Oh please don't come in. I heard Lily twist the handle and open the door and I quickly rolled off of Matt's body and yanked the covers over us so she wouldn't see anything. "Malia, I need your help," She states to me as she walks in. She was completely oblivious to what was happening no more than a second ago.

"With what?" I ask her.

"Well I don't know what to wear to your grandparents," She says with a hopeless look on her face.

"I'll be over to help you in a minute," I tell her. She smiles and nods then walks out of the room closing the door. I let out a huge sigh of relief and Matt does as well.

"That was close," He says with a laugh.

"It was indeed," I say back to him.

"Well I enjoyed that though," He says slyly as he wraps his arms around me again. I blush and tilt my head down.

"I need to go help Lily and I need to take a shower because I didn't last night," I say as I get up.

"Yeah same here," He chuckles out. He pulls me in for one last kiss then let's me leave. Once I closed the door I ran to my room as quickly as possible then shut the door when I got in.

"Okay so I wasn't sure if I should go casual or formal," Lily's voice echoed from the closet. I jumped a bit forgetting she was in here. I ran into the bathroom before she could see me.

"Just a minute I want to take a shower, I feel kind of grody after all the ice cream and not taking a shower last night," I tell her. It wasn't just the ice cream. I took off my sweatpants and underwear then I took off my socks, bra, and large sweater and turned on the hot water.

"Okay," She says back. I step into the shower and relax. I replay the previous events back through my head and smile and my heartbeat accelerates at the reverie. It wasn't like we had sex but for me that was huge. I wasn't going to have sex until after marriage. I felt that your naked body was something only your husband or wife should have the ability to see. That is just my opinion. I scrubbed myself extra hard to get myself clean. I washed my hair probably four times and used the soap maybe seven times. I finally stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my body. I took a deep breath and walked over to the mirror that was over the sink. I wiped the few water droplets from my face. I brushed my teeth before I walked out of the bathroom and into my room.

"FINALLY! You're out," Lily shouts. I chuckle.

"Sorry," I say sheepishly as I grab some undergarments. I quickly go into the bathroom and change into them then I walk back out. I still had my towel wrapped around my torso but this way it was easier to change into clothes. I had no idea what to wear either.

"Okay let's get started," I say. "What were you thinking?" I ask her.

"I don't know. Should I dress casual or should I dress formal?" She asks me.

"Well my grandparents are pretty chill and all so my advice is don't look like a hobo and come in raggedy stuff but don't look like a slut and come in skin tight stuff. So like a formal casual," I tell her. That was probably no help at all.

"Thanks a lot," She says sarcastically. "Well what are you wearing?" She asks me. I wasn't sure yet. I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to my closet and looked around. I saw a black dress with small daisies scattered all over it. It was a loosely fitted dress. I grabbed that along with a thick light cream colored sweater and held them up to her to show her what I was wearing.

"Cute," She says. I watch her walk over to her suit case and pull out a cream colored dress that was also loosely fit that had small brown buttons lining the front and a small gap where the waist was but it was meshed so it looked really cute. She then pulled out a black sweater with large flowers on it. She held them up to me and I nodded.

"That works, we also look like we will be kind of matching," I tell her. She laughs and nods her head. I let my towel fall to the floor of my closet and I pull the dress over my head and it hangs loosely like it should. Then I put on my sweater. Lily took off her pajamas and put on her dress with her sweater. I picked up my towel and hung it up in my bathroom. I then walked over and grabbed a pair of light cream socks to match my sweater. They came up a bit higher than my shin. I slipped on these khaki colored high top boots. They had a few buckles on the front. I also decided to put in earrings. I didn't put my normal pearls in. I grabbed a pair of gold shaped crescent moon earrings. I saw Lily had just slid on a pair of flip flops and they complemented her outfit nicely.

"Can I do your hair?" Lily asks me.

"Sure why not," I shrug. "What are you going to do?" I ask curiously.

"You'll see," She says with a smile as she sits me in front of the bathroom mirror and starts brushing my tangled hair.

"I'm nervous," I state. She chuckles. She grabs the blow dryer and starts to dry my hair with it. I sat patiently as she moved my hair in different directions, this piece going under and that one going over etc.

After what seemed like an eternity she finished.

"DONE!" She shouts with excitement. I had been watching her through the mirror but I couldn't see the back of my head. From what I could see she had pulled my hair back and into an up do. That was all I could see.

"I can't see the back," I tell her.

"Oh right," She says and pulls out her phone to take a picture. She shows it to me and my eyes widen. It was beautiful. My hair was in like a large bun and there was a braid that went around the back of my head above my hair.

"It's beautiful!" I say to her.

"Thank you," She says accepting my compliment. "Now I need to do my hair," She says as she sits down and starts brushing her hair. I watched as she started French braiding her hair from the top. Once she reached the back of her head she pulled the rest into a bun and clipped it there. It looked formal yet casual at the same time.

"You could be a hairstylist," I tell her.

"I will definitely take up that job when you are on tour," She says to me. I smile. I walk over to my desk where I had left my phone. I had thankfully left it plugged in. I checked the time and saw that it was 10:48. We had some time.

"Well let's go get some breakfast and see what the guys are up to. Or if they are up," I state and turn to the door.

"They're all up. It was just you and Matt who weren't awake," She says to me. I blushed at her comment and tried to calm down my red cheeks.

"Oh," I say trying to calm down. If Lily noticed she didn't say anything about it. We walked out of my room and I closed the door and we made our way down the stairs and into the kitchen for a small breakfast. I was excited to see my grandparents. I had forgotten all about Lily's comment by the time we were downstairs. I skipped joyfully into the kitchen to see all the guys at the curved bar all dressed and ready. They all looked nice. They weren't wearing tuxes or suits but they had either khakis or colored pants (not denim/sweatpants) and a button down shirt or a nice t-shirt.

"Aww, you guys look so cute," I say in excitement as I take in their appearance. They all laugh at my actions, which were in fact laughable. I just roll my eyes and ignore it. "Did you call grammie and gramps?" I ask Cameron as I pull Lily over to the fridge with me.

"Yeah, I called them about half an hour ago," He says.

"And...." I say for him to continue.

"And what?" He asks with a confused tone. I look away from the refrigerator and to him.

"What did they say? When does grammie want us to come over?" I ask him because I knew grammie was calling the shots today.

"Oh, she said that lunch would be ready at one," Cameron says. "It's almost eleven so we have some time," He says. I roll my eyes. I knew my grandmother was going to be stressed about cooking for 12 extra people.

"No we're leaving now because I need to help grammie cook lunch because she can't do it all by herself no matter what she says," I tell him. I grabbed a clementine and quickly shut the fridge. "Come on guys," I say as I quickly jog to the garage to get into my car. Shoot. I forgot my keys upstairs. I quickly run back up the stairs to get my keys. I pass the guys and they look confused.

"Just split yourselves up equally into each car I have to get my keys!" I shout as I run to my room. I open the door to my room and grab my brown side satchel. I grab my keys and throw in my phone and my wallet into the purse. I grabbed a pair of small round ray bans and shut the door as I run down the stairs. Unfortunately the souls of my shoes are incredibly slippery so I was trying not to slip as I ran down the stairs. I made it into the garage and closed the door. Cameron hadn't left yet. I ran over to my car and almost slipped on the floor but I caught the door handle and I was able to pull myself back up. "I'm okay!" I shout holding my hands out. I could see everyone chuckling at my little slip up (no pun intended) but I just rolled my eyes. I got into my car and shut the door. I put the keys into the ignition and started my car. I opened the garage door and Cameron did the same with his. I let him back out first. I looked back to see who was in my car. I noticed Matt was sitting in the passenger seat. He flashed me a smile and I smiled back as I wiped the few strands of hair out of my face. I put my purse on the center console as I put on my seatbelt. Lily, Taylor, Shawn, and Carter were all crammed in the back. So that means Cameron has Nash, Hayes, Aaron, Gilinsky, and Johnson. Once Cameron had backed out of the garage and was leaving the driveway I backed out my car. I closed the garage doors and drove out of the driveway gate. I closed the gate as well and let Cameron take the lead.

"Where do your grandparents live again?" Carter asks from the back. I look in the rearview mirror at him.

"Loma Linda," I tell him. He nods his head. I turned on the radio and Pompeii was on.

"OH I LOVE THIS SONG!" Matt shouts and the car cheers with agreements. He turns the music up. I knew this wasn't the original song and it was a remix. I have to admit it was pretty good. But what makes me just a bit mad is that this song came out about a year ago and people are only noticing it now. But whatever. Everyone had their phones out Matt was filming it for snapchat and I don't know what everyone else was doing but I assume it was something similar.

"But if you close your eyes," Then the song transferred and I can't even explain the sound but it sounded amazing. We were all rocking out in the car doing small dances in our seats and laughing.

** ** **

We arrived at my grandparents' house at 11:43 AM. Cameron parked in their driveway and I parked right next to him. Cameron was already out of the car along with everyone else by the time I parked. I turned the car off and I pulled the keys out of the ignition and stuck them in my purse. I grabbed my bag and opened the door and got out. Everyone else got out of the car too. Lily ran up to my side and grabbed my arm.

"You excited?" I ask her. She looks at me.

"Yes but I'm also nervous," She confides in me.

"Your nervcited. I get it all the time," I tell her. She smiles and loosens up at my comment. We were all standing outside the front door. Cameron wasn't knocking on the door so I was going to pull a Frozen.

"Knock. Just knock. Why isn't he knocking? Do you think he knows how to knock?" I say quoting Olaf from Frozen. Everyone else laughed but Cameron just glared at me. I couldn't help but laugh. I made my way to the front and knocked on the door. I waited patiently for a few seconds before I heard the sound of the door unlocking. I started jumping in my spot in anticipation as I waited for the door to swing open.

Once the door opened and I saw my grandpa I rushed towards him and gave him a huge hug.

"Hi gramps!" I shout as I give him a huge hug. He chuckled and hugged me back.

"Hello Malia, it's nice to see you," He says. "Let me look at you," He says as he pulls out of the hug and holds my hands out so he can look at me.

"You've grown so much," He says. I laughed and so did some of the guys.

"Don't lie gramps I've been this height since I was 13," I tell him. He laughs.

"I'm just trying to be nice," He says with a smile.

"You don't have to try you're nice enough," I tell him. He smiles then he looks behind me.

"How rude of me. Come on in guys so I can meet everyone," He says as he opens the door more for everyone to come in. I walk in and take off my shoes and leave them by the front door and Lily and the guys do the same. We make our way into the living room and we all sit down on the couch. My grandpa walks in and looks at everyone.

"Okay I don't know exactly how to do this," He starts while rubbing his hands together. He looks at everyone then his eyes land on Cam. "Cameron," He says and Cameron smiles and gets up and hugs gramps.

"Hey gramps how's it going?" He asks.

"It's going well, you seem to be doing well. I see you got some muscle there," Gramps says commenting on Cameron's figure. I chuckled as did Cameron.

"Yeah I guess you could say I've been working out a bit," He says.

"Yeah but you ain't got nothing on this," Gramps says as he makes a bicep. I laugh and so does everyone else. Cameron chuckles.

"You're right gramps I'll work harder," He says as he sits back down.

"Haha, alright let's just go around the room," Gramps says. He walked over to Lily who was sitting next to me. "I'm just going to assume that you're Lily because so far I haven't seen any other girls in this room other than Malia," He says to Lily. She laughs.

"Yes I'm Lily. It's nice to meet you," She says as she shakes his hand.

"You can all call me Grandpa Dallas if you want," He says. She smiles.

"Well alright then," She says. Gramps smiles and he moves onto the next person who happened to be Taylor. Taylor was wearing a tie dye bandana and I hadn't expected him to not wear one. He was wearing khakis and a plain white t-shirt.

"And you are," Gramps says holding out.

"Taylor," Taylor says as he holds out his hand and shakes Gramps hand.

"You've got a strong grip there," Gramps says. Taylor chuckles.

"Well I try," Taylor says with a sheepish smile.

"Wait you're the one who pulled that large prank on my grand-daughter?" Gramps accuses Taylor. Taylor instantly recoils and his confidence lessened a bit.

"Um, yeah, that was me," He said quietly while rubbing the back of his neck. Oh Gramps please don't hurt him.

"I haven't heard everything about it, but I want to. You really scared my Malia," He says threateningly.

"Okay Gramps," I say trying to intervene.

"I'm really sorry about—," Taylor starts but my grandpa cut him off.

"Nicely done," He says and pats Taylor on the back. Taylor just sat there with his mouth open and I had the same reaction. "You seem to be quite the prankster I would like to hear all about it when we have the time," Gramps says with a smile. I just sat there with my jaw on the floor.

"Oh well thank you I try, I really do," Taylor says flattered. I gave him a death glare and I promise you he flinched even though he will deny it. "I like you Grandpa Dallas, you're cool," Taylor says. Gramps only shrugs.

"I knew I could be cool," Gramps says to himself in a joking manner causing us to giggle. "Alright who is next?" He asks as he moves from Taylor to Jack Gilinsky.

"I'm Jack Gilinsky but most people call me Gilinsky because it's easier," Jack says introducing himself.

"Oh yes, because there are two Jacks," He says in remembrance. Gilinsky nods. "Well Gilinsky it is," Gramps says as he shakes Jack's hand and moves to Jack Johnson.

"I'm Jack Johnson, you can call me Jack or Johnson either works," He says as he extends his hand.

"Well Johnson it's nice to meet you," Gramps says. "Now you two produce music too?" He asks as he looks at them both.

"Yeah," They both answer. Gramps smiles.

"That's wonderful. I would love to hear what you've got some time. I have yet to hear Malia sing," He says pointing to me. I turned my head away to avoid the attention. I hadn't sung for my grandparents so they didn't really know about anything. I mean maybe when I was like four I sang twinkle twinkle little star but I highly doubt that, that counts. I ignored the lingering stare from everyone but thankfully gramps moved on.

"I'm Matt," Matt said with a smile as he extended his hand. I couldn't help but smile at this interaction. Gramps was visibly aware that this was the Matt. He looked to me and raised his eyebrows in a way of saying 'so this is Matt,' but in a nice way. I smiled.

"It's nice to finally meet you Matt, Malia tells me so much about you," Gramps says giving me a smirk. My cheeks were now as red as beets. Gramps was purposely trying to embarrass me. I saw Matt send me a small smirk but returned to his conversation with gramps.

"Malia has told me a lot about you as well," Matt says. My heart was racing 19023 miles a minute. I felt a hand rest on my arm.

"Chill," Lily whispered to me. I looked at her and nodded my head. Matt seemed to be getting along very well with gramps even though they were purposely trying to embarrass me.

"Hey gramps, I'm going to help grammie in the kitchen" I say as I stand up from my seat and grab Lily's hand in the process.

"Alright, you go do that," He says ignoring me as he continues on his conversation with the guys. Well at least they're getting along swimmingly. I found my way to the kitchen where I saw my grandmother hurrying around with the stove, chopping vegetables, and taking things out of the oven.

"GRAMMIE!" I shout which caught her a bit by surprise and she almost dropped the entire bottle of salt into the pot. She quickly set it down and turned around.

"Malia! It's so good to see you. How have you been?" She asks as she comes over and hugs me but quickly returns to her kitchen duties.

"Well I have been very well. Life has been adventurous and I never would have imagined my life like this but I like it," I tell her. She looks at me and smiles.

"That's good to hear. This must be Lily, I'm so sorry for not introducing myself sooner," Grammie says as she comes over and gives Lily a small hug. Lily just smiles.

"Oh it's not a problem," She says a bit timidly.

"Is there anything we can do to help?" I ask her as I take off my purse and set it on an empty chair. I also took off my sweater so the sleeves wouldn't get in the way.

"Well I purposely told Cameron not to come until around one because I didn't want you trying to help, because I knew you would but you can help me with chopping up the vegetables and all the fruit," She says pointing to where the containers of strawberries were along with a pineapple, a watermelon, a bunch of tomatoes, onions, and green peppers. I looked over to Lily and she set her sweater with my stuff and came over to me.

"Alright what do you want to do? The vegetables or the fruit?" I ask her. Please say vegetables, please say vegetables.

"I don't really care I can do the vegetables," She says. YES. Alright.

"So you can cut this stuff and you know you have to wash it and everything because you made it sound that you can't do anything in the kitchen," I say referring to the previous kitchen conversations.

"I can cut and stuff but when it comes to following a recipe I start on one page and then I end up on a completely different page," She says. Okay, gotcha. I wash my hands and then I slide over the pineapple, watermelon, and the strawberries so I can have my own space to cut. Strawberries are my favorite fruit, my grammie knows this about me. I decided to do the strawberries first. I found a large enough bowl to hold the strawberries. I started slicing the strawberries and taking off the stems. I sliced them into quadrants I guess you could say. I then transferred them from the small cutting board to the bowl.

I watched as Lily peeled at the onions and started cutting them trying her hardest not to cry. And this is why I wanted the fruit.

"So how's Matt?" Grammie asks from the other side of the kitchen. My cheeks heated up and Lily gave me a look that I ignored.

"He's well, he was a bit anxious to see you guys but based on how it was going with gramps last time I was in the living room I would say that they are getting along swimmingly," I reply.

"That's just marvelous! I can't wait to meet him," She exclaims. I was excited for her to meet Matt as well. I return to cutting the strawberries but not before I catch a glimpse at Lily raising her eyebrows up and down at me. I scoff and roll my eyes in a playful manner. She chuckles quietly and continues to cut her onions while I return to my strawberries.

Grammie had gotten three large containers of strawberries so I was standing there for a while. When I was in the middle of my second container of strawberries I heard all the guys and gramps come into the kitchen. I knew the introductions to grammie would have to wait as she was bustling around the kitchen. I felt arms snake around my waist and I looked up to see Matt. He rested his chin on my shoulder as he watched me cut the strawberries.

"Why are you so good at this?" He asks quietly. I chuckle.

"I'm just cutting strawberries, not running a marathon," I joke. I feel his body vibrate a little bit as he chuckled.

"You could probably do that too. Anything I can do to help?" He asks me. I look up at him. He had moved from behind me to next to me. I smiled at how eager he was to help me.

"Actually yes. I have to cut up the pineapple and the watermelon. You can start either one because I know that, that is going to take some time," I tell him. He smiles and nods. He walks over to the watermelon. I hand him a large knife to cut in half with first. I looked around and I saw that Nash and Hayes were setting the dining room table and Taylor was helping Lily. Lily's eyes were red and puffy from the onions so Taylor took over that job while she cut up the tomatoes. Cam was helping grammie with her enchiladas. Grammie made the best enchiladas in my opinion.

I brought my attention back to cutting my strawberries. I needed to finish this quickly. Suddenly a hand reached over and grabbed some strawberries from the bowl. I looked up to find Matt popping them into his mouth. I gave him a death glare and he just gave me a toothy smile.

"Don't. Eat. The. Strawberries," I say slowly. He chuckles at my attempt to be threatening but doesn't take anymore.

I finished cutting the strawberries and went over to help Matt cut the watermelon. I took half of the watermelon that I knew we wouldn't eat and I set it into a large bowl and wrapped it in saran wrap. Then I set it in the fridge. I walked back over to Matt and started to help him cut the watermelon. I saw that he was about to plop a piece of watermelon into his mouth but I smacked his hand before he could get it into his mouth.

"Don't eat the food," I scold him with a laugh. He just pouts and rubs his hand like it actually hurt. I roll my eyes and gently kiss his hand. "Does it feel better now?" I joke with him. He shrugs his shoulders and gives me an 'eh' look. I laugh and push him away as I continue to cut the watermelon.

"Need any help?"

"OH GOD!" I shout almost slicing my finger off as I drop the knife when Gilinsky pops out of nowhere. "You need to stop doing that," I tell him. He chuckles.

"You just get scared way too easily," He says with a laugh. I feel Matt come up behind me and he took my hand inspecting it for any injuries.

"Matt, I'm okay, besides it would have only been a little cut," I tell him as I pull my hand back. "But actually I could use your help. Matt and I are still cutting the watermelon, could you start cutting the pineapple?" I ask him. He looks at the pineapple and nods.

"Sure," He says and walks over to it.

"You do know how to cut a pineapple right?" I ask him.

"Haha, yeah I do, I helped my mom with them all the time," He says. I shrug my shoulders and Matt and I get back to work on cutting up the watermelon.

Matt and I finally finished cutting the watermelon and we set it on the table along with the strawberries. Matt went over to help Gilinsky finish cutting the pineapple and I went to help Cam.

"Hey," I say as I come up behind him.

"Hey," He says and continues stirring Grammy's homemade enchilada sauce.

"Need any help?" I ask him.

"Um, sure. You can start rolling up the enchiladas. Grammie has the chicken ones in the oven already so just do cheese," He tells me. I nod my head and move over to the counter. The pan was already greased so I just picked up a small tortilla and put some cheese in it then I rolled it up and stuck it into the pan. I continued this process until the entire pan was filled. Then Cam poured the sauce over the enchiladas. Once that was done I put them in the oven and we set the timer. I turned around and I saw that Taylor and Lily had finished cutting up all the vegetables and were now mixing the salsa. Matt and Gilinsky had finished cutting the pineapple and it was now on the table. Grammy was pulling the chicken enchiladas out of the oven at the moment and she set them on the table so they could cool quicker. Gramps had tossed the salad and that was also on the table.

"Food," I moan to myself. I hear chuckling at my side and I look over to see Taylor. "Don't laugh at me," I say in fake offense.

"I can't help it, you're so laughable at," He says.

"That didn't even make any sense," I tease him.

"That's true but when do I ever make sense?" He says.

"True," I admit. I push myself off of the counter and walk over to the fridge. I pull out the guava juice (the best kind of juice) and set it on the counter along with the orange juice. Then I found a large pitcher and I put some ice in it and filled it up with water. I found a lemon and I sliced it in half then I sliced thing pieces and stuck them into the water.

"I have a challenge for you," Matt says coming up to me.

"What is this challenge?" I ask with confidence and curiosity. He smirks. He takes the lemon and cuts the remainder of it into an equal amount of wedges for each of us.

"I challenge you to a lemon wedge eating contest," He says with a smirk. I am so going to win this.

"Oh, I will so win this," I say with a confident smile.

"Well then you won't have any problem doing it will you?" He asks with eyebrows raised.

"Not at all," I say. By now Lily and the rest of the guys had gathered around and of course they were filming it. I mentally rolled my eyes at them but remained focused. As a child I always loved eating lemons and I never found them all that bitter but I hadn't done this in a while so I don't know what it is going to be like.

"I will do the count down," Aaron says. I nod my head and get ready. We had to finish five lemon wedges.

"Five, four, three, two, one!" He shouts. The second the word one left his lips I shoved the first lemon wedge into my mouth and bit down pulling all of the fruity guts out of the peel. It wasn't that bad. I saw Matt wasn't having that much trouble either. I quickly put the second one in my mouth and ripped it apart then I shoved the third one in. I had the fourth ready in my hand. Matt was now on his third as I was going onto my fourth. I was so going to win this. I pulled the guts out of the fourth lemon and I grabbed the fifth lemon and in one bite ate all of the fruit and swallowed it.

"HAH! I BEAT YOU!" I shouted and did a small victory dance. Matt set down his fifth lemon that he had just started eating in defeat. Everyone was cheering and laughing.

"Okay, fine you win this one," Matt gives in. I flash him a toothy smile. My teeth felt extremely weird now but I knew that it was from the acid in the lemon. I ran up to all the guys and gave them all high fives and fist pounds. I gave Lily a huge kiss on the cheek when I reached her. She pushed me off in disgust.

"Ew, you just ate like nine lemons don't be kissing me," She complains as she wipes her cheek. I laugh at her reaction and so does everyone else.

"Alright you guys lunch is ready!" Grammy called from the dining room. At the mention of food we all rushed to our seats. I handed Lily her sweater and we both put them over our dresses. I set my purse underneath my chair and sat down. Matt sat down next to me and then it was gramps at the head of the table.

Cam Nash Shawn Hayes Lily Taylor

Gramps Grammy

Me Matt Aaron Jack J Jack G Carter

That was the seating arrangement.

"Well I know I haven't met any of you yet, just briefly around the kitchen, but I'm glad that we could have you over for lunch today," Grammy says before we all get our food. I managed to get strawberries, pineapple, some salsa, chips, and two cheese enchiladas.

"Did anyone want something to drink?" I asked standing up with my cup. Everyone held up their cup and I laughed. "I'll just bring the refreshments over," I say. I set my cup back on the table and walk over to the counter. I grab the guava juice, orange juice, and the water and balance them all carefully as I walk back to the table. Matt instantly stands up and takes the water pitcher from me when he sees my struggle. "Thanks," I say as he sits back down.

"You're welcome," He replies. I poured the guava juice into my cup. "Who else wanted guava juice?" I asked. Cam raised his hand along with some others so I just handed it to Cam and it was passed around. Matt had poured himself some orange juice and had passed it to Aaron. Gramps had taken the water and I took it over to Grammy because I knew she would want some. When I was finally seated I said a small prayer to myself before I dug in.

The food was delicious. Always was whenever Grammy cooked it.

"Grandma Dallas, this food is delicious," Matt says complimenting my grandmother. I saw how my Grammy smiled at his compliment.

"Thank you," She says. "What's your name, I'm sorry but I have yet to meet everyone yet," She says.

"Oh, my apologies. I'm Matt," He says with a heart stopping smile. I could tell Grammy's heart stopped briefly when he said it. Her face quickly softened and a smile crept onto her face.

"Oh so you're the Matt my grand-daughter has been telling me so much about," She comments and I could feel her gaze. I felt my cheeks redden and I lowered my head and just stuffed food into my mouth. I felt a hand grab my right hand since I was currently eating with my left hand. I look down and see that Matt was holding onto my hand. I looked up at him, he wasn't looking at me but he squeezed my hand a bit for comfort. I smiled and squeezed his hand back and I saw a smile creep onto his face.

Grammy went around the table, learning everyone's name but I could tell that she really liked Matt. She would glance at him every once in a while and she would smile. Perhaps I am wrong but I think she likes him.

"How did it go with gramps?" I whisper to Matt.

"I think it went well, your grandpa is cool," He remarks.

"Haha, I know," I tell him.

"So how long is everyone planning on staying?" Grammy asked. I was about to answer but Shawn spoke up.

"Well we originally planned for just this week but Malia actually, for my birthday, bought everyone plane tickets from here to Pittsburgh, well except for me, to one of my concerts on August 26," Shawn says with a huge smile. I smile at how ecstatic he is for all of us to be coming out.

"Really Malia? You bought everyone a ticket?" Grammy asks with an astonished expression. I nod my head slowly and try to avoid all the eyes on me. I didn't know how my grandparents would react to it, I hadn't told them yet.

"Well that is very generous of you," Gramps speaks up. I look to him and smile. "Is Lily coming as well?" He asks.

"Well actually I wasn't here for Shawn's birthday so the ticket wasn't purchased. Also I have yet to ask my parents if I could stay an extra week so if they say no then I can't go but we will see," Lily says optimistically.

Lunch went well. The conversation flowed nicely and nothing was awkward. The boys added numerous stories and comments that wouldn't be there on your normal visit to your grandparents' home. It was nice to have the guys and Lily with Cam and me.

When lunch was finished Lily, Grammy, and I collected the plates and put them in the sink to be washed. Then Grammy went and got the dessert. It wouldn't be lunch with Gramps and Grammy if we didn't have dessert. She came back with individual servings of deep fried ice cream.

"Grammy how long did this take you?" I ask her accusingly. She shrugs her shoulders with a sheepish smile.

"I don't know, not long," She says in a high pitched voice. I roll my eyes, she works too hard. If you didn't know deep fried ice cream is a Mexican dessert and let me just say it is amazing. It pretty much tastes like ice cream with a bunch of frosted flakes around it but way better.

Once everyone had been passed their dessert we dug in. There were choruses of moans from the guys as they ate the dessert. I chuckled to myself.

"This is so good," Taylor moaned.

"Haha, why thank you," Grammy says accepting his indirect compliment. I ate mine slowly to savor the flavor. Eventually it was all gone and I was left to scrape as much out as I could. Grammy came around and collected all of the ice cream cups and set them in the sink to be washed as well. Lily and I stood up to start washing the dishes but Grammy stopped us.

"Actually girls I would like the boys to help me in the kitchen, you helped me cook and they can help me clean," She says with a devious smile. I knew this tactic. My mom always told me stories about how whenever my mom dated a boy Grammy would always test out their kitchen skills and their manners. Dad was the only one that passed the test. Well another boy did pass the test but neither Grammy nor Gramps really liked him for mom.

"Alright Grammy," I say with a big smile, while the guys looked kind of scared. I caught a glance at Cameron's face and it conveyed that he knew exactly what was going on. Lily and I excused ourselves from the table and we went to my old room in Grammy and Gramps house where I would stay when we came to visit. Lily and I walked in and I shut the double doors behind me and closed them. Lily was sitting on the queen sized bed and I hopped onto it after her.

"Well," I drag out, not sure what to do now.

"Well, I think your grandparents are absolutely marvelous. I love your grandfather he is just so funny and charming," Lily gushes. I stare at he a little startled at first but then break into a heartwarming smile. It made me feel all nice and fuzzy on the inside to hear that people liked my grandparents just as much as I did.

"Well I am glad to hear that," I tell her.

"Oh and what's the thing with your grandmother having the boys wash the dishes?" She asks. I explain to her the old tradition that my grandmother used to tell if a guy could use the kitchen and be reliable and the how their manners were. She listened intently and when I finished she spoke.

"That is such a clever idea," She comments. I nod my head in agreement. I lay down on the bed and just relaxed a bit, the food had filled me up to the brim so I did feel a bit bloated.

Feeling bloated is probably one of the worst things ever. Lily lay down next to me and we both stared at the ceiling for a few minutes before we heard a knock on the door.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

I didn't stir or move.

"Who is it?" I asked loud enough for the person to hear.

"It's me," The voice said. I rolled my eyes. I knew who it was but in actuality what if I didn't know who 'me' was? That would just be stupid.

"Come in Cam," I said. Then the door handle twisted and opened. He walked in and sat down on the bed with us. Lily and I moved our legs to make room for Cameron.

"What's up?" Lily asks Cam.

"Well I mean I don't have to do the whole kitchen thing, I'm sure Mals explained it to you, so I'm kind of bored now. I don't know how long it will take but yeah I'm just bored," He says. We both nod our heads in understanding. I looked up and saw the small TV hanging in the corner of the ceiling.

When I was younger I would watch TV before I went to bed, but I would have to keep it quiet so no one else heard it.

"We can see what's on TV," I suggest. Cameron and Lily don't make any objections so I reached for the remote. As I grabbed it I felt a weight on top of me. I looked back to see Cameron laying down on me. "Really Cam?" I ask rhetorically. He chuckled and made himself more comfortable.

"YUP!" He says popping the "p". I roll my eyes but don't make him move off of me. For reasons. 1) I wouldn't be able to move him 2) If I could it would only cause pain 3) If I managed to get him off he would only get back on 4) I was too lazy at the moment.

I pointed the remote at the TV and turned it on. Disney Channel instantly came on causing us all to laugh. I hadn't been here in a while and Disney Channel was the only channel that I knew at their house.

"You want to just watch this?" Cameron asks.

"Sure, we can make fun of how bad all of the shows are now," I state.

"YES! I love bashing modern day shows," Lily cheers. I laugh. But it was true. The shows now are so bad, the acting, the writing, and everything else. When I was a kid the shows were so much cooler. But I think the more time progresses the worse the shows get, but whatever. I set the remote down and we started watching the show. Which happened to be Jessie. May I add that Debby Ryan cannot act?

Halfway through the show Jessie is now stuck in a teacup in a pretty ugly dress if you ask me. I tried shifting myself because Cameron was getting awfully heavy.

"Cam can you get up your so heavy," I complain. He shrugs.

"Okay," Wow that was easier than I thought. He got up but instead of sitting down on the bed he laid down on top of Lily.

"AH!" Lily grunted as Cam's weight came down on her. "Why?" She asks rhetorically.

"I don't know," He says with a smirk. I roll my eyes and Lily does the same. She has an older brother and knows better to not push him off or anything. I moved and got under the covers because I was starting to get cold. I saw that Cam had gotten off of Lily, thank goodness, and moved under the covers as well. Cam scooted close to me and we were kind of hugging each other underneath the sheets. It's what brothers and sisters do to each other. We hadn't had much sibling bonding time. I mean we never really did that much 'sibling bonding time' anyways but from being around him so much and not like actually being with him I missed my big brother. I missed Cam and it was nice to have this small time with him, even if Lily was sort of being a third wheel.

It sounds like I'm dating Cam. EWWWWWWWWW. Let's never bring that image up ever again, that is just disgusting. Cam is great but he is my brother and I don't see him in that light AT ALL. I wonder how India and Sammy are doing. I haven't talked to India in a while. I know that she definitely caught Cameron's attention but he has probably forgotten about her now. I wish he hadn't but he can't help how his mind works.

The show finished and I was relieved. I mean Disney Channel has just gone downhill. Cam got up off of Lily which resulted in Lily gasping for breath as I chuckled.

"Oh come on I'm not that heavy," Cam complains. I give him a look that says 'are you sure,' and he just narrows his eyes at me but makes no move on me. I stretched my arms out and made one of those weird noises you make when you stretch. Lily and Cam just looked at me like I was weird.

"Oh stop it, you guys do it too," I tell them. They just look at each other and then chuckle. "I wonder how it's going for the guys," I said to Cam and Lily.

"Yeah I wonder if they can hold up," Cam says chuckling. I elbow him in the ribs.

"You're lucky you're my brother or else Grammy would make you do them too," I tell him. He only shrugs because he knows I'm right. We walk out of my old room and through the hallways. We go down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. The boys actually weren't doing any chores, they were all sitting around the center island talking amongst each other.

I walked up to Matt and wrapped my arms around his waist. He looked back to see who it was and when he saw it was me he smiled and held my arms tightly around his waist.

"How was it?" I asked him.

"Not bad actually, your Grammy is awesome," He says. I laugh.

"Well that's good to hear," I tell him. I move myself from behind him to sit on his lap. He was currently on his phone, as were most of the guys. I pulled out my phone and decided that I should tweet.

@MaliaIDallas: Hey loves. I promised I would post a new video today and I will. I am with my family atm so I when I get back that will be the first thing I do.

I sent out the tweet and then I read a few of my mentions and sent replies back to NAFIANs and I followed them.

** ** ** **

The rest of the day was pretty much spent relaxing. We all had moved to the living room and we just lounged around. I was cuddled with Matt on the couch. We were both on our phones and so was everyone else.

The day went by quickly. We ate dinner with my grandparents and then we said goodbye.

"Goodbye, I promise that I will come and visit you guys more often," I say with a smile as I hug and kiss them goodbye.

"You better," Gramps says with a playfulness to his tone. Cam said his goodbyes as well and then the guys and Lily all bid them farewell. We piled into our cars and began the drive home. It was around 8:30 PM when we left. Grammy knew that we had to be back at a certain point so she made sure to eat dinner early.

The drive back wasn't that eventful. There was the occasional chatter and discussion but nothing much. Everyone was mostly on their phones.

When we got back home it was 9:22. I parked the car next to Cam's in the garage and then I rushed up the stairs to my computer.

@MaliaIDallas: Hey guys I am back. I am about to upload my new YouTube video. #MaliasNewVideo

I went onto YouTube and I clicked upload. I selected my final project and it began to upload. I was unsure of what to title it at first but then I chose something simple.

accidents happen

The video uploaded. I didn't tweet it. I just sat there for a few seconds, remembering the experience. Then I picked up my phone.

@MaliaIDallas: The video is up. It is different from my normal videos I hope y'all aren't mad. I just want you guys to know a few things.

I sent the tweet out. I shut my laptop and plugged my phone into the charger. Lily was now entering the room. I smiled at her.

"Oh, you still need to ask your parents about the whole Pittsburgh thing," I tell her.

"I did," She says with a sad face. "That's why it took so long for me to get up here," She says.

"I'm guessing it didn't go well?" I ask sadly. She shakes her head no. I stand up from my chair to go and comfort her.

"IT WENT GREAT!" She exclaims startling me and almost making me fall over.

"THAT'S FANTABULOUS!" I shout back and we hug each other. "So you are staying here?" I ask her. She nods. "Well I need to buy your ticket," I say and I rush back to my computer. I open my laptop and login. I go online so I can purchase the ticket.

"Actually my parents, their being really weird, but they paid for my flight," She says. My jaw dropped.

"Really?" I ask incredulously. She nods with a huge grin.

"Yup, same flight as you guys," She says. I couldn't be happier. An extra 400-500 dollars wouldn't kill us but the damage to me would be pretty significant.

"That's awesome, did you tell the guys yet?" I ask her. She shakes her head. "Well you should go tell them, because I really want to take a shower," I say.

"Alright," She says and leaves the room. I walk into my bathroom and shut the door. I turn on the water and strip my clothing. I stepped under the water and let it cascade down my skin. I felt relaxed.

About 10 minutes later I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around myself. I walked out into my room and grabbed a bra and underwear and some pajamas. I went into my closet and shut the door. I quickly changed into them. I pulled on a large navy blue sweatshirt with the words 'I like cats' on it and some grey capris sweatpants. I threw my hair into a messy bun and then I walked out of my room to see what everyone else was doing.

I naturally assumed they would all be in the kitchen because that was where they normally convened but they weren't. They were all in the pool actually. Well Lily wasn't but I found it bizarre. I didn't say anything. I walked in and I smiled when I saw the guys being playful and splashing each other in the pool. I saw Lily sitting in one of the chairs and I walked over to her.

"Did you tell them?" I asked her as I sat down.

"Yup," She said.

"Well, how did they react?" I asked her impatiently.

"They were really excited and happy, they wanted to hug me but I refused it because their all wet," She says.

"Yeah I would have refused it too," I tell her with a laugh.

"Well since you're out of the shower I'm going to get one now," She says as she gets up and walks away leaving me to supervise this group of children. I pulled my knees close to my chest as I watched them jump around, dunking each other.

Matt made eye contact with me and he smile. His eyes were twinkling and it was probably the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. He looked so happy. To see him happy made me happy. I smiled back at him.

This was ideal. Just watching my best friends have fun. I would join them but I just got a shower and I don't want to have to get another one.

That is all I remember. Just watching them.

Okay, what did you think of Malia and Cameron's grandparents? I hope I am doing a good job on this. I am working really hard. My updates over the summer were really often and I could write as long as I wanted to but now with school and everything, I hardly ever have time. I am just always so tired and exhausted. I am currently sick right now and I just feel extremely weak and exhausted but I am doing this because I love to write and I love you guys! Let me know what you think!

Simplement en regardant means Merely Watching in French, well I hope it does.
