Time passed by quickly after what happened with Cathy having a baby a few months later. Pops sat on a red couch, while Cathy sat on his lap as she held Connor. Reese was talking to Dad about more football games like all men did, Sarah just snuggled by Reese like usual, and my Mom was getting her camera prepared to record the gift opening.
When she had the camera ready, she exclaimed, "Okay! Gift time!"
"Who should pass the gifts?" John asked.
Before that could be answered, I saw Curtis entering the room. I rushed to him, hugging and greeting him.
"Oh my gosh! What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I came to see you, of course!" Curtis answered.
He held a ringbox in his hands. "In fact, I wanted to ask you something." Curtis knelt down on one knee, opening the box. It was an engagement ring. I covered my mouth. "Oh my gosh! Curtis!"
"Will you marry me?" Curtis asked.
I pulled him in for a kiss. "Yes, I will!"
