today i saw a little girl
maybe she was crying of hunger
maybe a lack of trust
i passed her a smile
her swollen eyes locked with mine
she just kept starring for sometime
she was begging not for food
but maybe for love
because then her eyes light up bright
she then smiled back after a little while
today i realized i'm just like her
wanting someone to cheer me up
tell me 'go on,i'm by your side'
the only difference is that she begged
while i just kept it to myself
it brought me back to life
i've got my conscience by my side
there'll be a perfect example of brilliance
there'll no longer be an absent mind
yes,i'm making a difference
i'm finally alive
