My mind wandered back to the first time I laid eyes on Monkey D. Luffy in person.

3 of my crewmates and I were currently sitting at the auction house on the Sabaody Archipelago.
I felt disgusted watching as people were being sold as slaves, but I couldn't do anything unless I wanted an admiral on my crew's trail.
It was finally coming to an end when they brought out a mermaid.
The bidding continued until a celestial dragon emerged victorious. Just then, three flying figures and a fish came crashing through the door of the auction house.
I glanced behind me and smirked at the sight of the famous straw hat Luffy.
I watched until the fish man he was with got shot. Straw Hat was making his way to the celestial dragon that shot him, a piss off look in his eyes.
I couldn't hear what he was saying to the straw hat, but he was probably trying to stop him from doing something crazy.
It seemed to have been working until the celestial dragon opened his mouth.
I smirked as the straw hat delivered a punch to the celestial dragon.
One of the other celestial dragons pulled out a gun, and everyone started running out, leaving the straw hats, kid pirates, my crew, and the soldiers protecting the celestial dragons.
I kept my eyes on the straw hat the entire time, watching how he fought.
I smirked, "300 million berry. That's some bounty."
More people started falling from flying fish, I'm guessing that's the rest how his crew. His crew was certainly odd. A skeleton and a talking raccoon.
"We'd better hurry before the navy shows up any minute now!" I heard the ginger-haired girl yell.
"I hate to tell you this, but the navy's already here, straw hat," I spoke up.
Straw hat looked at me from the corner of his eye, "Who are you? And what's with the bear!?"
Bepo blushed, looking away at the mention of him.
I ignored his question and just kept speaking, "You picked a bad time to revolt, the navy's had this place surrounded since before the auction even began. They got headquarters on the archipelago, but I'm guessing they're after someone."
I wasn't entirely sure why I was telling him all this; we were enemies after all.
"I don't know who exactly they want to catch, but I doubt they were expecting someone to beat up the celestial dragons." I chucked, "That was quite a show you guys put on, I'm impressed, straw hats."
"Oh, you're Trafalgar Law." The other woman, whom I recognized as Nico Robin, AKA the demon child, said.
Turning to the straw hat, she added, "Luffy, he's a pirate just like us."
Straw hat looked shocked before turning to look back at my crew and me.
He stared at me for a second, and my heart skipped a beat, wondering if he had figured out I wasn't really a boy and just pretending, but the next second, his eyes shifted to Bepo behind me.
"Huh? Even the bear?"
I chuckled. Of course, he hadn't noticed; no one even noticed my crew. Expect Him.
I chuckled again while Nico Robin introduced Eustass Kid. I wonder if Straw Hat forgot that he had a talking raccoon as a crewmate?
I was suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when I heard Bepo, my navigator, repeatedly calling me.
"Captain! Captain! We're here!"
I quickly made my way outside right as my submarine rose above the waters.
I saw Buggy the clown holding a straw hat and Jinbe.
"Quick! Hand over the straw hat!" I yelled up at him.
"Huh? I don't take orders from you, pal! And besides, what do you want with him anyway! You weirdo."
"Hand him over so we can escape! He'll die without my help!" The idiot was wasting time; did I have to spell it out for him?
"What!" He yelled.
I gritted my teeth, "I'm a doctor!"
"Oh, doctor, my butt! What kinda doctor carries around a giant sword! And the whole submarine is fishy too!"
This guy is pissing me off, "stop screwing around! Hand him over!"
"What's in it for me! What's in it for you!?"
A cannon was shot straight at him, but he quickly dodged just in time.
I gritted my teeth. I couldn't use a room to get him; I needed to use all my energy to save his brother.
"Hurry up! There's no time, we have to go now!"
My crew panicked as the navy started surrounding us.
The sea suddenly started splitting, which worked in our favor since the navy started shooting at itself.
But then Kizaru just had to appear.
"Drop them now, you idiot!" At this rate, I won't be able to save straw hats, brother.
"You know what, fine! I don't need this right now! I've done enough, they're probably gonna die anyway!"
He finally threw them to me, and I sighed in relief as Jean Bart caught them.
"Alright, now submerge!" I yelled. Sorry, straw hat, but with Kizaru here, I won't be able to save Fire Fist.
But before I went back inside, Benn Beckman appeared. That was my chance, so while Kizaru was distracted with him, I quickly made the largest room I could, praying Fire Fist was close enough.
My eyes widen and I quickly changed his body for a tiny rock I kept in my pocket. I hoped no one noticed the deceleration of his body just yet.
Handing him over to Bepo before I told him to get inside and get him to the operating room immediately.
"Let's move!"
I stayed outside the door, waiting, for what I wasn't sure yet. But I needed to.
"Captain! We have to go! I know this is cool to watch, but we're going underwater!" Bepo panicked.
"Captain! We have to close the door! If we don't, they'll open fire, but if we don't, you'll drown. Please stop making things difficult for us and get inside!" He yelled while on the verge of tears.
I sighed, "Yeah, ok." But before I could, I tuned in to the sound of yelling. "Actually, wait."
"NOOO! We're gonna die!"
Buggy the clown screamed and threw something.
"What is he throwing at us?" I caught it, realizing it was a Mugiwara straw hat. "I see..."
"Ok! You got the hat or whatever now, hurry up and get inside!"
"Right." I held the hat and quickly made my way to the operating room, where the straw hat and the others were.
I smirked. The odds really are in your favor. Aren't they, straw hat?
I put my gloves on and examined their condition.
"Do they need anesthesia?" Penguin asked.
"No, not in this state, they're unconscious and straw hat and fire fist are one step shy of coma. Meaning we won't hear a peep out of them." I smirked, "It's gonna be a fun operation!"
I started my work on Fire Fist first. I needed to work fast. His heart was rapidly slowing down.
"What was that!" I asked about the fact that the sub felt like it had been hit.
"I don't know. The water around us just started turning to ice."
"If we don't do something quick, we'll be caught and we'll be as good as dead!" Bepo screamed.
"Then do something!"
"Huuuuuuh!"
I kept my focus on the patient even as the submarine rocked back in forth.
"Captain! Straw hats stable!" one of my crew mates yelled.
I sighed in relief, a heaviness lifting off my chest.
It's been a few hours, and I finally got Fire Fist stable enough that he wasn't on death row, tho I guess he did die for a few seconds. Jinbe has also been stabilized.
I made my way outside, hearing the conversation between Boa Hancock and my crewmates.
"I did everything I possibly could," I said, internally smiling at the worried look that passed through her eyes.
"So does that mean he'll...be ok?" she asked.
"We'll have to wait and see. He's stabilized for now, but he took on a lot more damage than most could endure. And there's no guarantee he'll survive."
I sighed at the prisoners that appeared out of nowhere, no surprise when they turned out to be straw hat friends.
"You can't save everyone. he's nearly dead because that's the kinda world this is." The big-headed one said.
I stayed quiet, not mentioning that I had saved Fire Fist. The fewer people who know he's still alive, the better.
Then Jinbe came out, he was also worried about how Straw Hat would react when he woke up and found his brother 'gone'.
I planned on telling Jinbe once we were alone.
I stayed quiet as the empress decided to let us go to her island, Amazon Lily. I was surprised, but I kept my face calm. I knew she cared for a straw hat, but I didn't think it was to this extent. I don't know why, but that made me dislike her more than I already did.
Once her ship arrived, the prisoners left, and we started making our way to Amazon Lily.
In the meantime, I made my way into the straw hats room. I stood next to his bed, as I was staring at him, he stared frowning, and his heart beat quickened as he started sweating. He looked to be having a nightmare. I frown, thinking if I really should do it before sighing as I slip my hand under his. I started rubbing circles, and slowly his heartbeat returned to normal.
I kept doing that until I felt the sub stop. I carefully slipped my hand out from his and walked towards the door, shooting one last glance at him before I left.
I watched the empress and the old lady fight over letting us in. After a minute of listening to them, I got tired and decided to say something.
"Well, while we're on that topic, do you have the same medical equipment and technology as my ship? If the straw hat's wound opens up...he will die."
"But don't let my words stop you. If it's no big deal, take him." I smirked, knowing that would get to her.

It's been 2 weeks since we've been staying on Amazon Lily, straw hat, and fire fist are still in a coma. Straw hat has been having nightmares every night, and I've been comforting him. Recently, he's started to squeeze my hand, which is good. I can leave and he won't need me anymore, I frowned, but before I could think more on that, there was a crash from the sub.
Jinbe and I quickly made our way over right when Straw Hat made a hole in the roof as he jumped out and fell to the ground.
I stared at him in shock as he started screaming.
"WHERE'S MY BROTHER?!"
Before anyone could tell him anything, he started screaming louder while running around.
Anytime someone tried to tell him where his brother was, he would just scream as if afraid of what the answer would be.
I masked the sadness in my eyes as I watched him hurt himself, willing my mind not to go back to the time I felt like that, too.
I turned back to Jinbe, "If he keeps this up, he will die."
Jinbe sighed and stood up, making his way into the forest where the straw hat ran into.
As the crew started fixing the sub, I went inside to check on Fire Fist. With all that ruckus straw hat made his wound might have opened up, considering it's so sensitive that the slightest movement could open it up. After checking that he was stable and recleaning his wound. He seems to be healing fast; if he's anything like Straw Hat, he should be waking up.
Straw hat would have woken up sooner if it weren't for his emotional trauma.
I went back outside, but not before passing by my room and picking up his straw hat.
I sat down on a rock, gripping the straw hat as I listened to the straw hat-ya's get louder and louder.
Eventually, they stopped. I hoped it was because Jinbe got to him and told him his brother's fine and not for another reason.
My eyes widened in shock when I saw a man emerge from the water right when a sea king died.
I calmed down when I realized it was the dark king Rayleigh. I doubt he would want to hurt the straw hat.
I was about to ask why he was here, but I noticed someone emerging from inside the submarine.
Fire Fist came out limping and gasping for breath. My crew made their way over to assist him. At this point, I wasn't that shocked. Fire Fist was awake and standing, but I couldn't say the same for my crew.
"What are you doing, fire fist! You shouldn't be getting up!" Bepo yelled.
"I'm fine. Where's...my brother?" Ace said, struggling to get the words out.
Before anyone could answer, Rayleigh spoke up. "Well, isn't this a surprise. Ace is alive after all."
"What are you doing here, dark king Rayleigh?" I frowned, still holding tightly to the straw hat.
Rayleigh laughed before looking at me seriously, "I'm here to train Luffy, and since Ace is alive, I'll also train him too."
"Huh!" Ace shouted before he burst into a fit of coughs.
I sighed, "I see. In that case, my crew and I should be leaving now." I stood up, stopping right beside him.
"Here. This belongs to a straw hat. Also, make sure he and Fire Fist stay in bed for 2 more weeks. It's a miracle both are alive and standing so early, but that could easily change." I noticed Fire Fist pouting at that, but I ignored it.
And with that, I left with another word.
These 2 brothers sure have a strong will, I smirked, the will of D.
I can't wait to see you again, straw hat Luffy.

I also only made this for fun, I've look for a lot of storys with femLaw, lawlu and alive Ace but I could only find 1 or 2 so I decided to write one myself. Also some parts may be similar to, 'What Torao What?' by xx_weebs_x. I got my inspiration from them because their's was the closest to the fanfic of my dreams but this is my original writing.
