~~~~Dream scene~~~
"YOU TRAITOR!!!" Marshall shouted, swinging his axe.
Chase jumped backwards, missing the swing. "I didn't betray anyone Marshall, you know me," the tan skin boy said, trying to reason.
"SHUT UP YOU FUCKING BITCH!!!" Skye shouted swinging her hand, open palm out in an up-slice angle that Chase couldn't dodge.
"You're done for!" Rocky shouted as he threw a screwdriver straight at Chase.
~~~end of dream~~~
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Chase shouted, jumping up and sitting up in bed, panting hard in a cold sweat. Grabbing his phone, Chase check the time. '3:25 am, great....' the boy thought before the room light turned on.
"Dude, you okay?" Blaze asked, a white skin, red hair boy, in only briefs asked as he rushed up to Chase.
"N-nightmare," Chase said softly as he hugged his knees to his chest.
"Want to talk about it?" Blaze ask, as he watch the tan skin boy shake his head softly. "YOu can't just keep it bottle up. It's been 4 years, bro."
"I know," Chase said, as he slowly got out of bed and went up to a mirror to check his reflection.
Blaze sighed as he laid back on Chase's bed with a huff. "Nightmare?" Rosie, a tan skin girl with heterochromia: right eye yellow, left eye blue with dirty blonde hair, in shorts and t-shirt, asked as she entered the room. As Chase nodded, the girl sighed. "You know mom is open for anything, right?"
Chase nodded as he kept his gaze at the mirror. His boxers didn't hide much, as his body had a few scars from nasty cases: surgery to remove bullets, claw marks from wild animals. But the one thing he felt that made him unsafe was the scar over his right eye. Touching the bottom edge of the scar brought back the pain of just a memory alone.
-------------flashback----------
"SHUT UP YOU FUCKING BITCH!!!!" Skye, a blonde hair tan-ish skin girl, shouted as she clawed Chase's face, right over his right eye. The scream the tan skin boy made made everyone freeze, even a gang fight when they heard and saw what Skye did.
Chase felt to one knee, right hand over his right eye in pain. "W-why Skye?"
"Cause you deserved it, bitch," Skye said as she lifted a hand to smack Chase.
The brown hair, tan skin boy flinch, scared Skye would smack him. But.....the smack never came. "you gone TOO Far," A voice said coldly. Everyone looked to see a large male, dark skin with a grip that could crush Skye's wrist in a firm hold. "You trying to make him go blind?!"
The man let go of Skye's wrist, making the girl back up in shock. "He leaked information about the team!"
"Whatever, our deal is over," the male said as he grabbed Chase, with a help of one of the gang members to help the brown hair male to his feet. "You broke you're promise, so we are pulling out.....Skylar"
-------------End of Flashback--------------
"It......still hurts...." Chase said softly as Rosie hugged him softly.
"Don't let it hold you back, I mean, you got this birthmark," Rosie said, trying to cheer Chase up.
"Yeah....the same mark Marshall called stupid," Chase said softly, turning his body to see the large size birth mark of a tiger on his back. "He......never liked tigers...."
"Let 'em go bro, you aren't with them anymore," Blaze said as he sat up on Chase's bed. "They don't deserve you."
"Maybe...." Chase said softly.
"Get back to bed bro," Blaze said as he got up. "Talk to mom in the morning."
Rosie glared at Blaze as he left before sighing. "He's right though," She said, looking at Chase with softly. "Our mom is not just a nurse, but also a therapist, so she's all ears-"
"Thanks Rosie, but I rather not to bother her," Chase said softly as he sat on the bed, sighing softly. "I just....need time."
"Okay," Rosie said as she walked to the bedroom door. "But she knows if you need to talk, it be best to do it sooner, then to wait."
Chase nodded as Rosie left the room, shutting the door softly. As the tan skin boy laid on the bed, sighing softly as he looked at the ceiling. There was a poster of the Paw Patrol members. Chase looked at each person as a younger version of himself, in police gear, standing with his back against Marshall, as both tan skin and white skin boys were smiling with pride. Skye was leaning forward with her pink avatar outfit showing her love of flying, as Rubble kneeling next to her, as his yellow construction outfit made him look both cute and serious. As the tan skin, soft brown hair male was smiling like an idiot next to Skye. Zuma, a milk-chocolate skin and hair boy with bright amber eyes pose like a surfer in his orange diving gear, standing next to Rocky, a tan skin male with his gray hair nearly covering his eyes, as his green outfit loosely with a recycled sling-shot. Kneeling at the very front was Ryder, whom smiled with pride as he was proud of his team. The more Chase looked at the poster, the worse the pain in his heart felt like it was growing worse by the second. After 15 minutes, which felt like an eternity, Chase got up on his bed, jumped up, grabbed the poster, and ripped it down. The tap holding the poster popped off the ceiling as Chase crumpled the poster and put it on the trash bin before going to bed.
"Rise and shine bud," Lina said, a female who resembled Blaze's skin and blue eyes, with her black hair shine softly in the light. It took a few seconds for her to notice a missing poster as Chase sat up softly. "Do you want to talk?" Lina asked softly.
Chase didn't speak for a while, as he looked at his hands. So many emotions and thoughts were running through his mind. Thought from self-hate to ways to kill himself only made the boy cry as his soft brown eyes looked at Lina, seeing her in sweatpants and a short sleeve shirt. "....yes please," he finally said, as his voice broke softly. Lina quietly walked up and sat next to him, letting Chase spill everything.
In Adventure Bay, Marshall threw his axe at a tree, hitting the target the white skin, black hair male put up for practice. "Morning dude," Zuma said, walking up to Marshall with a cup of coffee.
"'orning Zuma," Marshall said with a grunt, taking a cup from Zuma, gulping nearly all of it down before handing his cup back to the brown-skin male before getting his axe.
"Damn, you're STILL pissed about that day?" Zuma asked, putting both cups on a picnic table as he watch Marshall.
"How could I not? He lied to us," Marshall growled as he spun his axe, avoiding hitting Zuma. "I can handle Rocky and Chase's fighting. But the way Ryder pulled info that Chase leaked information. But it wasn't Chase...."
"You think it was Rubble using Chase's computer?" Zuma asked.
Marshall growled as he hurled his axe at the target, splitting it in 2, as the axe lodged itself in the tree. After taking a deep breath, he looked at Zuma. "I only found out when I looked through the cameras and found out what Rubble did. But you know what happened on that day!"
"Protecting the baby, pathetic!" Zuma scoffed as he sipped his coffee. "Ryder is 22, you and Rocky are 18, Skye is 17, I'm 16, Rubble is 10, Everest is 20 and living with her boyfriend, Tracker is 9 and living with Carlos still. Why can't they understand we're not kinds no more?"
"Chase is 19 too," Marshall said, drinking the last bit of his coffee. "I rather deal with him and Rocky fighting...."
------------flashback: 5 years ago---------------
Marshall chuckled as he sipped his coffee as he watch Chase and Rocky arguing about with football team was the best. The two were arguing loudly as Zuma walked up with his own cup of coffee. "The 'show' before the football match?" the brown-skin boy asked, knowing the answer.
"Is there any other show I watch?" Marshall asked with a toothy grin.
Both boys chuckled, watching Chase and Rocky argue loudly. As the two nearly got in a fight when Skye entered the room. The moment she did, both tan skin boys froze, looked at each other before turning away and went to far bean bags, avoiding each other.
"Show's over," Zuma said softly, as Marshall nodded as boy went to take their seats.
---------------End of flashback--------------------
"................why can't they see Chase never wanted to leak information!"Marshall growled in rage, as Zuma quietly shrugged.
"We'll find out why Rubble did," Zuma said softly. "When does he get out of Juvenal?" Zuma asked softly, looking at the white skin male who groaned softly.
".....tomorrow...." Marshall groaned, rubbing his forehead in frustration. "I already moved all my shit in an apartment in town. I don't trust him."
"Same, which is why I gotten my own cabin a few months back," Zuma said softly as he looked at the sunrise. "I'm switching to part-time here, as I'm going to be full-time life guard."
Marshall nodded as he sighed. "I'm going part-time on the paw patrol too. I got an offer at a hospital for a full time position."
"What about you're time as a fire fighter?" Zuma asked in confusion.
"I rather work with patients then fight fires," Marshall said coldly. "I won't let Ryder get me burned in pain. So I'm going to be doing work in hospitals no matter the case."
Zuma nodded as he sighed as he and Marshall watched the sunrise. As the sun rose, the light entered Rocky's bedroom window. The gray hair boy grunted as he threw a dagger at target, huffing softly. "4 years.....and no luck....." Rocky said softly as he sat in a chair, looking at the ceiling with a huff. "It's strange.....oh well, I'm sure it will pass."
