I try to aim for elegance and beauty when choosing the covers. Hope you like them. So I'm guessing some of you don't still know what the book is about, but I'm hoping this chapter would shed light to that. Argh... I'm I the only one with trouble getting reads. Happy reading though.

My friends and I have been together since we were all in diapers. Most of us at least. We live in a not so big town where almost everyone knows everyone. It was easy for us to come together and form a friendship group people know as a clique.
The chatter among my table-members stop as soon as my presence was noted.
"Hey Kay". Ben called out first raising his hand to slap me a high five.
Ben and I go way back, further than the other people I call friends.
Everyone else acknowledged my presence by either nodding or grunting because of their full mouths.
"You came late. The patties are probably finished now." Kim muffled with a full mouth.
"That's why I came prepared." I smirk and pull out a ziplock bag with a Big Mac in it.
"Can I have some please". Ben asked adding the puppy dog face for effect. Luckily for me, I've outgrown the technic.
"No".
"But I'm hungry". He adds.
"Not my problem". I shrug and bite into my lunch still unfazed.
"But I didn't get patties either".
"You basically ate all consumable if not more than a human ever should". Anne said, looking shocked by Ben's fable.
"Why did you tell her? Now I'll be hungry and it's all your fault." He whines.
Our table is silent and, I could tell everyone was trying to contain their laughter. Just like in the movies, we burst out laughing our asses off at Ben who still looked pretty pissed at Anne.
"So..." Anne trails off. "I heard you and the new kid Will were asked to wait behind after Mr. Stevenson's class. What was that about".
I roll my eyes at the thought of the ill mannered, uncultured boy I recently knew as Will .
"It's nothing worth talking about". I reply bluntly.
"Huu... Did you get into trouble little miss perfect". Ben cooed like a five year old.
"Piss off!" I snap.
"Who pissed in her cereal this morn". Ben said through his teeth to James, who hasn't said an audible word since I arrived.
"No one it's just... That Will dude is capable of irritating the life out of a pea pod".
Ben and Anne begin to snicker at my attempt to insult Will.
"I'm sure he can". Anne grins
"Hey, why don't we invite him over to join us?" James said.
Finally he says something but apparently, it's not in my favor.
"You know, I liked it better when you weren't saying anything". I say glaring at James
"But really, won't it be cool to have a new pal to hang out with? I've known you guys for ages."
Ben, Kim and Anne nodded in agreement and give me the look. You know that look that people give you when your the only one that's disagrees with the general opinion? Yeah, that look.
"I would have loved it..." I said. "...but, he probably isn't still in school".
"What did you do? Run him out of town 'cause he doesn't meet your standards". Ben said at the peak of his voice.
"No?". I say more like a question than answer. "Besides what's your deal? Do you have a crush on him or something". I tease
"I haven't even met him and besides, I don't swing that way". He winks after his last word.
I ignore Ben and take another huge bite out of my burger.
I notice Kim's eyes lingering from my food to my mouth.
"How don't you get fat?" She asked in awe.
I just shrugged and shoved some more greasy goodness down my throat. I look at Kim as she stares down at her laps. Her body here but mind elsewhere. She looked different but I couldn't just put my finger on it.
The bell rang which was a signal to leave the cafeteria for the next period.

Last period came so quickly and funny enough it was my worst class, gym.
Don't get me wrong I love to move and do all that athletes stuff. That's one of the reasons I was a cheerleader but, coach Brown made it feel like hell.
I was the first to get into the locker room because I used every opportunity I could to avoid the evil clutches of the meany I know as coach Brown.
"I see you're early".
I look up to see a sturdy looking woman. Her shirt tucked carelessly in her shorts, whose end was the beginning of her knee length socks.
You've seen right! Apart from if you have a condition that makes you hallucinate.
Instead of speaking my mind, I just nod and tie my shoe laces like they are gold.
"Let me give you a head start over the class". She said a more commanding than favorable tune. "I want 5 laps before the rest of the class arrives. Well, what are you waiting for move it.

Gym seemed to take forever and it was hellbent but, what can I say, I've experienced worse.
I get home just in time to prepare my own lunch before my mum gets back from her job as a lawyer.
"You're home early".
I nearly had a mini heart attack due to the unexpected sound of my mothers voice.
"You scared me there." I said relieved it wasn't some psycho murderer trying to kill me.
"I came back early today".
"I think I noticed". I say to my mum in a as-a-matter-of-factly tone.
It was rare for my mum to come back early from work early. The only times she did was when something really urgent was going on.
"Did you lose your job?"
"Nope".
"Car?"
"Nope".
"Lunch?"
"Nope".
"Then what happened?" I said at the peak of my voice.
This game she seems to be playing is getting on my nerves. She shifted her foot side to side then she looked up with her eyes on mine.
"We have a guest".
I throw my hands to the back. Grandma can't be back already she finally just left here for the retirement home.
I see a male shadow walk from behind my mum.
My life has officially become the living hell I thought looking at Declan's lips as it moves upwards forming a very cocky smirk.
"Hey sweet cheeks. When do you want us to fix our wedding? Summer or fall?"
