*NEXT DAY/Tami's POV*
I was sat on the edge of the bed with a blanket wrapped around my body, I looked behind me to see Simon peacefully sleeping. Why do I feel so disgusted of myself? I looked away from Simon as I felt tears rolling down my face, I grabbed my clothes and put them back on before getting up slowly. I grabbed my phone and limped out of the room quietly, I used the wall as support and walked downstairs while trying not to scream. I didn't bother looking for Jenny since I knew she wasn't here or else I would have heard her last night, I got to the front door and grabbed Simon's keys. I put my shoes on and opened the front door, I walked out then locked the door behind me. I then posted Simon's keys back through the letterbox before slowly walking home, why do I feel like Simon used me for his own good? He would never do that right? He knew it was my first and he was gentle last night, ugh brain shut up. I got home and knocked on the door since Jenny's car was in the driveway, she left me. I heard giggling inside before the door opened to reveal Jenny in someone's t-shirt, I raised an eyebrow and looked at her
"Love who is a-" I looked at the staircase where Josh came down without a shirt, of course
"Tami its n-" Jenny started to say but I interrupted her
"I really don't care what you guys did, I just wished you told me instead of leaving me like that last night" I said before pushing past Jenny and slowly going upstairs to my room, I closed the door and dropped to my bed but regretting it as soon as I felt pain
"Ow" I whined, I heard my room door open so I looked up to see Simon
"Why did you leave?" Simon asked, I sat up while Simon closed my room door and leaned against it
"Why did you follow me?" I asked
"I woke up just as you left my room, I quickly grabbed clothes and throw them on then followed you. Now what's wrong?" Simon asked and came over before sitting down next to me
"Why do I feel like you used me last night?" I asked and looked at Simon, he looked at me in shock
"What? Why would you think of something like that?" Simon asked and grabbed hold of my hands before kneeling down in front of me
"We aren't dating, we aren't getting married. I feel used because I've got no relationship with you" I said as tears threaten to fall
"Then let's get married now" Simon said, I looked at him like he was crazy
"Now? Simon that can't happen" I said
"I don't care if you don't have a dress or if I don't have a suit, I don't care if no one comes along as long as I've got you there. Just me and you, we don't even have to go through all the church stuff. We just go to the registry office and sign the papers, please let's do it now" Simon said with hope in his eyes, I looked at him not knowing what to say. Just as I was about to reply, my phone rang. Me and Simon both jumped before I grabbed my phone and answered the call
*Simon's POV*
So close, I was so close to her agreeing to being mines again but no. Someone just had to go ruin it, for fuck sakes
"Yes, this is she" Tami said into the phone, I watched her as she talked to whoever
"W-what?" Tami said, I watched as fear took over her eyes. I looked at her confused
"o-oh o-ok I'm o-on my way" Tami said before hanging up, tears rolled down her face
"Hey, what happened?" I asked and wiped away the tears
"M-my dad" Tami said
"What about him?" I asked confused
"H-he's in jail, I-I need to go" Tami said and stood up, her hands left mines. I quickly stood up as well
"I'm coming with you" I said
"Simon you don't have to" Tami said
"I want to" I said before me and her left after telling Jenny that we were going outside, we both got into my car and I drove to the police station where Tami's dad was being held
*SKIPPING JOURNEY*
Me and Tami rushed into the police station
"Matthew Thompson" Tami said
"Relationship?" a officer asked
"His daughter and this is Matthew's son-in-law" Tami said, I looked at Tami in shock before realising that she's only doing that to get me in
"Follow that officer and he'll take you to Mr Thompson" the officer said, we followed another officer to Tami's dad
"Dad" Tami said and rushed to the cell, the officer left us alone while I walked up behind Tami. Tami's dad looked up at us before getting up and rushing over
"Tami" her dad-Matthew- said
"W-what happened? Why are you here?" Tami asked
"I tried to get a divorce between me and Kate, I found out what she did at the engagement party and I got mad so I tried to call mines and her relationship off but she didn't take it well. She told them about your mother and what really happened" Matthew said, I take it that Kate is Tami's step-mum
"What? Why? Dad you know she would do that if you tried breaking it off with her" Tami said, Matthew reached up and wiped away Tami's tears
"I did it for you princess, I couldn't sit back and watch anymore" Matthew said, Tami let more tears fall
"You haven't called me princess since mum died" Tami said
"That's because it was a thing me and your mum did, we both would call you princess. After your mum died and I realised what had happened, I couldn't call you princess anymore. When you was laying on the floor with your mum, I realised that I lost my princess but also my queen" Matthew said
"Bu-but you don't deserve to be here" Tami said, I wrapped my arm around her waist and she rested her head against my shoulder
"I'm sorry princess but there is nothing that could be done also I'm so so so sorry hurt you or let anyone touch you like that. I'm such a horrible father" Matthew said
"Y-you're not a horrible father Matthew, you did a lot just to protect Tami. You didn't mean to kill your wife, it was in a heated moment and it just happened" I said
"I don't even know what came over me that night, I didn't even notice what was happening" Matthew said
"I might know how to get you out" Tami said before grabbing my hand and dragging me to the chief police officer
"Tami what you doing?" I asked
"It's worth a shot, I need to do this. If my dad is in jail then so is my step-mum" Tami said and walked into the office
"Can I help?" the chief asked
"If I say that Matthew Thompson was drugged on the night my mum was killed, would you believe me?" Tami asked
"I would say that I would need proof that he was drugged" the chief said
"Then I will need someone to come with me then because I don't want to go into that house on my own" Tami said
"Ms please explain" The chief said
"The night my mum was killed I noticed that my dad was acting weird, he would never cheat on my mum but he walked in kissing my step-mum. My dad said that he doesn't know what he was doing until my mum was died, he was drugged and I know my step-mum has some hidden since she is a drug but alcohol addict" Tami said, I looked at her in shock. Why didn't I know about this?
"I will be coming with you and this young man, this step-mum of yours doesn't sound safe" The chief said and picked up his hat before leading us outside, me and Tami got into my car while the chief got into a police car and followed us to Tami's parents house
"Why didn't you tell me this information?" I asked, Tami shrugged her shoulders
"Didn't think it was so important" Tami said
"Tami, that information would had been useful" I said
*SKIPPING JOURNEY*
Tami grabbed the spare key from under the mat before opening the door, we all walked into the house to find it in a mess
"What happened here?" The chief asked, me and Tami shrugged our shoulders. I saw Tami look over my shoulder before walking into the living room, I looked at the officer before we followed Tami into the living room. I saw Tami bent down in front of the bookshelf
"What is it Ms?" The chief asked, Tami showed us the ripped up pictures
"There were pictures of me, my mum and my dad when everything was ok" Tami said, I grabbed one of the pictures and looked at it. It was a young girl and her mother since was obviously Tami and her mum, they looked so happy. I noticed that the picture was ripped, just then another piece which fit the image was added. It was Tami's dad, he was ripped out of the picture; I looked at Tami since it was her holding the image of her dad
"She ripped them all up" Tami said and let a tear roll down her face
"What is your step-mum's name Ms?" the officer asked
"Kate Thompson" Tami said
"Ms, can you show me to the drugs" The officer said, Tami nodded her head. We set the pictures on one shelf before following Tami upstairs, we heard movements upstairs so we let the officer go before us. I pulled Tami behind me just in case something happens
"Freeze" The officer said as he opened the door to Tami's parents room, inside was Tami's step-mum
"WHAT'S GOING ON?" Tami's step-mum shouted
"Calm down madam" The officer said before turning to Tami
"Where are they?" The officer asked, Tami looked at her step-mum before walking over to the closet and started to look through it
"What is she doing? I've got private stuff in there" Tami's step-mum said in anger
"She is just helping me with some informations" the chief said, we waited for a bit and watched Tami look around the closet
"This is just stupid, get out of my closet you useless piece of shit" Tami's step-mum said and walked over to Tami before grabbing Tami's hair and pulling her back. Just as Tami fell back, she grabbed something and pulled it out. I quickly ran over to Tami and got her out of her step-mum's grip before pulling her to her feet
"You ok?" I asked, Tami nodded her head but hid a little behind me. We looked over to the chief to see him arresting Tami's step-mum
"These are illegal drugs so Kate Thompson, you are under arrest for carrying drugs but also for abuse" the chief said before leaving with Tami's step-mum, I looked at Tami
"We should leave" Tami said, I nodded my head and followed Tami out of the house. She locked the door then walked to the police car
"These are the house keys" Tami said and gave the chief the keys
"I will have my team look around the house for more, thank you Ms for your help" The chief said
"What's gonna happen to my dad now?" Tami asked, she grabbed hold of my hand
"We have to talk about it and I will be ringing you to let you know what happens but for now his charges and stay will be the same" the chief said
"Thank you" I said before leading Tami to my car, she leaned against my car as the police car drove off
"You ok?" I asked
"yea, I just want my dad to be ok and released. It's not his fault, yea he abused me but he did it to protect me" Tami said, I kissed Tami's forehead before looking into her eyes
"He will be ok, I promise" I said before kissing her...
