Addison's P.O.V.
Wednesday, May 5th, 2015
It's been 3 days since my two nights with Calum. School stills sucks, and Violet won't shut up about dress shopping. We're going after school on Friday and I'm still happy for her. It's her second week here and she's already scored a hot date.
Calum's had soccer practice all week so I haven't seen him for what feels like forever. The 4th period bell rang and I sprinted to lunch to meet Violet at our table.
"Hey Vi," I said, grabbing her Coke from her tray and taking a sip.
"Hey Addie," She replied, stealing her drink back. "I was thinking what if we scored you a hot date for prom?"
"Yeah...Good luck with that." I chuckled.
"Hey, I'm being serious. There's lots of guys out there, maybe one from the soccer team?"
I cringed. Oh god, if she mentions Calum will I be able to lie?
"What about Luke's friend? Calum?" She asked.
Great.
"Uh, no thanks Vi. I'm better off by myself." I answered.
As if on cue, Calum walked past our table right that second. I knew he had heard us. His always bright smile, turned into a frown as he passed us. I wish we could go to Prom together. Like how Violet and Luke are, cute promposal, all her excitement about dress shopping; I wish I could have it too.
After 20 more minutes of random conversation, the 5th period bell rang. we hugged goodbye and parted ways to 5th period. Once more I listened to Calum's mixtape, which made the classes go by so much faster. Soon enough, school was over. Violet and I are looking up Prom dresses online so we have an idea of what she likes. We'll schedule a hair appointment and get her nails done. It's a big night for her.

I giggled at my phone.

I put my phone on the desk to charge and heard my stomach growl.
"Want any food Vi?" I asked.
"Tortilla chips?" She answered.
"Ok I'll be right back." I laughed.
My arms were stuffed full of bags of tortilla chips, one bag of kettle corn, one bag of popcorn, and two water bottles. I walked up the stairs and down the hall to my room, struggling to hold all the food. All the food dropped to the floor when I saw Violet, mouth wide open, holding my phone.
"Shitshitshitshitshitshit." I cried grabbing the phone from her.
"What did i just read?" She asked.
I looked down at my feet. There's no getting out of this one.
"Calum Hood? The soccer player? Luke's best friend?" She questioned again.
Once again, no answer.
"How could you not tell me? I felt so bad for you, you said that you had no friends, no one likes you. But here you are dating the school's hottest guy, Addie." She cried.
"Look Vi, it's a lot to explain but if you could please just try to understand because it's a lot to handle." I reasoned.
"Fine."She said, sitting on my bed. "Explain."
I explained everything about the nightly treehouse visits, the mixtape, the two nights we had the week before, his scholarship, the championship game, and everything in between.
"Addie, I'm so sorry." She whispered.
"It's ok Vi, I should've told you." I said, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.
"Do you think he'll ask you to Prom?" She asked.
"Not a chance. We can't be seen together until after the championship game, remember?" I answered, looking down at my feet.
"Addie, I feel so bad. My mom is texting me to come home. Let me know if there's anything I can do ok? See you at lunch."
"Yeah, see you."

I put my phone on my desk and jumped face first onto my bed. Ugh, why is this so hard? I felt myself drifting off to sleep. I tried to stay awake to hear Calum ring the doorbell but by the time 11:30 came around, I was passed out. I dreamt about violet and Luke at Prom, and me and Calum standing next to them. I woke up from my deep sleep by the sound of my phone's alarm going off. Still in yesterday's clothes I got up and walked to my desk. There sat a bag of Taco Bell and a note one one of my post-it notes that said 'Didn't want to wake you, here's tomorrow's lunch I guess? Hope you had sweet dreams cutie xx cal P.S. hide the spare key better next time ;)'. I laughed as I put on some new clothes. I grabbed the small bag of cinnamon twists from the bag of tacos, cinnamon's healthy right? I grabbed my backpack and headed off to school.

Calum's P.O.V.
Today's the big day. I'm asking Addie to Prom. I planned that at lunch she'll walk into the cafeteria, grab her food and sit at her table. In our cafeteria we have a stage at the front, that's where I'll be. I'll start playing guitar and singing the first verse and the bridge. The chorus is the part that describes us perfectly, so at that part I'll walk down from the stage to her table. I already told Violet about my whole plan, she's sitting with Luke at lunch so Addie will be by herself. It's perfectly planned, I just hope I don't screw things up.
It's the end of 4th period, my hands are shaking and my palms are sweating. My guitar is already backstage, ready to go. I grab my backpack in one hand and stare at the clock. The bell finally rings, and I almost knock over a freshman while sprinting to the cafeteria. I run up the stairs to the stage and drop my backpack. This is it Calum. I look out at the crowd of students from the wings and see Addie sitting in the back, all alone. I pull my guitar strap mover my head and step out onto the middle of the stage.
Some people point, and the whole cafeteria goes silent. Addie still hasn't noticed, she's trying to get Violet's attention. I look at my fingers to make sure that they're in the right place and begin to strum.

I walked down the steps of the stage to the aisle of the cafeteria.

Everyone in the audience catches on to the song I'm singing and sings the '1,2,3'. I walk down the aisle slowly and sing:

I strum the last chord as i take the last step to her table. Everyone cheers and applauds. Her mouth is wide open in shock.
"Addie, will you go to Prom with me?" I ask, blushing from all the cheering.
"Of course!" She says, still in shock.
I hug her and spin her around in the air. This day could not get any better.
