After paying their respects they exited the mosque and everyone who wasn't part of the group left. Yuan Shuai stood near A Li holding his hand to keep him in check. Dongfang QingCang sighed annoyed wanting to go to sleep after being too emotional. Yet had to push it away since the pharaoh was there. "Can we leave now?" Dongfang QingCang asked Morgana who said goodbye to the one in charge of the mosque. "Yuan Shuai takes A Li to rest," Morgana told him as Méng Yáo grabbed A Li's hand pulling him with her. "I'm so tired." A Li whined making Méng Yáo try to pick him up but Xiao Heng beat her to it.
Dongfang QingCang led the children and Yuan Shuai to the portal as he yawned. "It's taken a toll with this acting my sultana," Jamila whispered to her making her sigh. "Zander you can take the glaive to rest," Morgana orders them to leave. She turned around and walked to Yugi and his friends. "I know it's not the time but where's Angela?" Atem asked concerned for her. "Back at the mansion," Morgana answered nonchalantly. "Was she not feeling well?" Atem stopped her from reaching Yugi. "You can say that." Morgana pulled his hand off her.
"I was going to spend the rest of the day with you just to chat but since you care more for her why don't you go look for her?" Morgana opened the portal and walked through it. Yugi sighed not wanting to be dragged into their situation. "I think she's jealous man." Tristan cheered as they followed her. "As if." Mai scoffed swiftly pushing her hair back on her shoulders. "What do you mean?" Atem asked confused. "You don't see it don't you?" Mai turned to him as they arrived back at the mansion. "Is something missing here?" Bakura asked confused. "She couldn't care less about what the hell you do with your life as long as she's not part of it." Mai shook her head as she walked away.
"Hate to break it to you but she's right." Téa sighed softly looking at Yugi who was glued to his phone ignoring the conversation. "Now we know who is on which side by side comparison," Amane whispered making everyone look at them. "These days yes, Yugi used to talk and share with us all that was happening," Joey commented making Yugi look up from his phone. "Ah, sorry guys I was just texting Zhou Mian on how A Li is." Yugi scratched his head. "Hey, I have an idea why don't you guys duel?" Téa suggested trying to get everyone involved. They just saw Yugi laugh which confused them on why he was acting that way. "Want us to be kicked out of this house?" Yugi asked.
"Wait hold on we can duel at my game shop, well tomorrow since it's very dark right now." Duke looked up at the sky. "Ah well, it is pretty late." Yugi looked at his phone. "We can watch a movie, sleep over perhaps?" Téa suggested and they agreed. "Alright guys dere's a new movie I have been wanting to try.?" Joey rubbed his palms together as he reminded them of the movie he mentioned a few weeks ago. "Can it Joseph, we aren't watching anything scary." Mai flipped her hair annoyed at him. "I remember it was a cartoon movie." Tristan mocked Joey making him angry.
"It's an anime guys, Yuh wouldn't understand anything" Joey shook his head walking away with them. "Of course we will watch it Joey Tristan is being..." Yugi trailed off. "Well, Tristan." Yugi laughed as Tristan chased him inside. Morgana opened her eyes upon the sudden noise. "Go." Morgana shooed the woman who was massaging her. Atem stopped in his tracks seeing her there getting a massage in her arms. "Oh massage can I get some?" Mai wanting to relax her muscles asked Morgana who gestured for the lady to help her.
The woman smiled and bowed to her as she gestured for her to sit comfortably on the sofa and she massaged her carefully. "Sultana I brought some fruit." Azra froze by the door upon seeing the gang there. "Give it to Mai she needs it more than I." Morgana got up and stretched. "Why don't you stay with us and watch a movie?" Serenity suggested making Morgana smile at her. "Planlamam ve hazırlanmam gereken bir savaşım var. (I have a war to plan and get ready for)." Morgana smiled at them bowing before walking away.
Atem was sitting down trying to ignore her stare as he walked in. "What did she say?" Serenity asked confused as the girls brought them snacks. "She's leaving for Valindria with all the glaive in toll." Max placed the bowl full of various candies. "Wait what she's going to war?" Atem sprang out of his chair knocking it over. "Yes, we are all leaving." Azra smiled at them. "Then we must go." Téa got up as well. "Sorry, but you guys would be a burden and are not trained to survive that type of environment." Zander gently patted Yugi's shoulder.
"You are in charge here for now till we get back," Ace told Yugi who shook his head. "Everyone ready?" Ivy arrived strapping her cuff full of gear. "I'm ready to ride my Kaithe into battle!" Vedat yelled but was slapped in the stomach by his beloved. "I'm right here nimrod." Ivy covered her ears upon hearing his yell. "Well, guys the Medjai will protect you all." Aya bowed as the chief Medjai entered and relayed to Corquet the status of the area. "Where's A Li is he going with you?" Yugi asked grabbing Aya's arm. "He's staying with his teachers not everyone will go." Aya patted his hand before pushing it off her.
Yanwan and her troops gathered in the center along with Bingqian's. "The day has come to get rid of those who are simply in the way." Bingqian smiled at Yanwan who arranged her dress. "Here comes Mehmed and his cavalry." Yanwan greeted the young ruler as he and his sister arrived. "Mother wanted me to stay but I want to serve my country so there's no way I'll back down." Beyhan placed her helmet on despite her brother's insistence on staying. Yuan Shuai gave a kiss on Méng Yáo's forehead and A Li's before placing his armor. "Are you sure you don't want us to come?" A Li asked readying his sword.
"You guys stay we will be done over than less than a week or two." Dongfang QingCang ruffled his nephew's hair. "Xiao Heng your men are ready?" Yuan Shuai looked over at Xiao Heng who smiled as he bowed. "Hold on Xiao Heng." Méng Yáo stopped him from getting into the portal. "Here I wanted to gift you this." Méng Yáo placed a jade amulet on his hand. Xiao Heng looked at it and smiled at her. "Thank you I'll carry it always." Xiao Heng strapped it around his armor and left. "Ooh someone seems into him." Xiang Yun teased making Méng Yáo scoff. "Well, I'm off girls behave." Yuan Ruo patted Xiang Yun's shoulder after saying goodbye to his friend Zhao Jian who was quiet that day.
"Don't die." Zhao Jian pulled his arm making him whimper. "Of course not idiot." Yuan Ruo smiled while the girls waved goodbye. "Is your beloved texting buddy going to the battle too?" Xiang Yun teased Zhao Jian making her scowl in annoyance. "He is staying he doesn't have the training required." Zhao Jian stuck her tongue out at her. "Well in the meantime you guys relax since you won't be hearing from me for a couple of weeks." Xu Feng stretched while his wife slapped him. "Gu Chen is staying they can train with him." Yin Luo Xia scolded her husband as she strapped her weapons. "Don't worry about the young ones I'll take care of them with Zhe Yan." Gu Chen waved from afar as he sat next to his Guqin.
Qiwu was helped in getting her armor placed onto her just as Chao Xing sighed worriedly. "Promise me you'll return." Chao Xing grabbed her daughter in a tight hug. "My brother taught me how to stay safe and fight," Qiwu reassured her mother. "Eh, which one since both knuckleheads would risk everything?" Chao Xing said on the verge of tears. "Mother everything will be fine Luo Mingxi will have my back." Chao Xing sighed in content knowing he would protect her. Qiwu walked up to Luo Mingxi who tipped his hat towards her as a greeting. Then motioned the men to go into the portal. "May the heavens guide you." Chao Xing clasped her hands together in a form of prayer.
All units arrived at the headquarters of the organization where Han Yu Fei ordered the men there to load up multiple weapons. "The horses all were fed and hydrated ready for battle." Han Yu Fei reported to Morgana who passed her hand over Entei's neck. "Let's go hunt some traitors." Morgana smiled getting up on her horse. Yuan Shuai and Dongfang QingCang are near their horse next to hers. "Hold on my queen." Han Yu Fei made her turned around to look at him. "There's someone who would properly be better to take on Hai Lanying." Yuan Shaui scoffed seeing her get off her horse and follow Han Yu Fei.
"You're not too keen on working with him but this can shift the tide in our favor." Dongfang QingCang advised as he got off and followed them. As they ventured deeper into the shadowy catacombs, the air grew thick with an unsettling stillness. Han Yu Fei guided them into a surreal anti-gravity room, a bizarre illusion of a cozy home suspended in defiance of natural laws. The walls were adorned with whimsical wallpaper, and delicate furniture floated gently, giving the space an eerie charm.
In the center, a man was bound to a bed that hovered just above the ground, his body draped limply as his head hung low, obscured by a curtain of disheveled hair. "Oh my, how the tables have turned," Morgana taunted, her voice echoing off the walls like a haunting melody as she strode in, flanked by her brothers, who exuded an aura of confidence. At the sound of her voice, Hai Xu Feng slowly lifted his gaze, his eyes glinting with defiance. "You're not the goddess," he declared, his tone dripping with arrogance, as he challenged the very presence of her boldness.
"Sorry to break it to you but it's not the time yet." Morgana smiled at him pulling his chin up. "I have news for you." Morgana looked at Hai Xu Feng as he looked uninterested. "Is Jinmi alive and well?" Hai Xu Feng asked making Yuan Shuai scoff. "You killed her yet you think that bitch is still alive." Dongfang Xu Feng mocked him as he saw Hai Xu Feng try to move from his restraints only to be in pain.
"That girl," Morgana murmured, her gaze piercing as it locked onto him. Her eyes shimmered like a pool of clear azure, radiating an otherworldly intensity. Suddenly, they flickered to a vivid yellow, revealing intricate clockwork mechanisms whirring and ticking within her soul. "Isaroth," she continued, her voice laced with urgency and defiance, "she relinquished my powers to ensure your survival." Morgana smiled as he tried moving again only to the restraints caused more pain. "You're exhausted yet move around trying to prove something." Morgana let him go.
"The news I have for you might not sit well." Morgana walked up to Yuan Shaui who relaxed under her touch. "I suppose you remember your dear little sister Hai Lanying?" Xu Feng automatically looked at her waiting for the answer. "She's alive." Morgana paused as Yanwan gripped her sword. "She used your people to betray her world," Morgana explained as Xu Feng stared confused. "She is using your army against the order and all regions," Morgana explained further making Hai Xu Feng look at her stunned. "She's made a pact with Darkus and has been poisoning not only Jizhou's citizens but every patient she served.
"Now you know what needs to happen to take control back of your army before they get slaughtered with your sister." Morgana gave him an ultimatum that he needed to end his sister and those who were fighting alongside her. "Kill her supporters and the rest will follow you." Morgana smiled at him. "You want me to kill her for your twisted game!" Hai Xu Feng yelled as tears streamed down his face. "It's you or her remember Jizhou can't survive without one of you and if no ruler Eriones will take over." Morgana summoned her sword and placed it on his chin.
"Your people will all be executed only you will remain now choose?" Morgana gave him a light slap with her sword. "Jizhou or Hai Lanying." Morgana chuckled as Hai Xu Feng closed his eyes as he let out a sob. "Jizhou..." Hai Xu Feng breathed out feeling his heart breaking. Seeing the memories of his sister smiling at him while she danced for their father. The arrogance of his younger brother because she was favored by their father the most. That even gave her the chance to choose a husband from any region she wanted. Hai Xu Feng remembered when he was injured by Yuan Shuai's sword after Jinmi died.
Hai Lanying was pulled away by his soldiers upon orders making her retreat from the site. Thinking he was on the brink of death he searched with his eyes for his beloved. An abyssal rift tore open a mere few meters from him as fatigue clawed at his consciousness, threatening to pull him under. The air around him vibrated with murmured voices, a symphony of unintelligible sounds, punctuated by a low grunt that echoed like a distant thunder. Just as he summoned the strength to pry his eyes open once more, a flurry of white leaf petals began to dance gracefully upward, carried by an unseen wind, painting the sky with an ethereal beauty.
In that fleeting moment, a figure descended from the heavens, shrouded in a cloak of shadow and light, the details obscured as if reality itself was bending. He felt a warm presence linger before it vanished, leaving an unsettling chill in the air. As his vision blurred and darkness enveloped him, the last sight seared into his memory was the piercing gaze of golden clockwork eyes, gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.
"I made a promise to her to keep you alive in return for my powers," he heard her whisper, soft yet resolute, a haunting promise that echoed in the hollow spaces of his mind. And then, as if the very world had tilted, he surrendered to the depths of a profound slumber, his consciousness slipping away like a whisper on the wind.
He opened his eyes just as he felt his arms drop heavily to the bed. No longer feeling the painful sensation of the restraints he restlessly opened his eyes. "You picked the right choice your sister has been corrupted and should be stopped, even I can't intervene," Morgana said as Sinclair and Han Yu Fei dragged him away from the cell. "He needs to recuperate strength." Huang Chao observed from afar.
"He's well-versed in the insidious nature of Valindria's toxicity, am I right?" Morgana said, her gaze sweeping past Huang Chao as if he were invisible. "His chamber has been meticulously altered over the years, each modification carefully designed to increase the levels of Valindria's poison. It's a hostile environment, and he's been conditioned to thrive amidst its lethal embrace.
Strapping some anti-magic cuffs to secure him on the wagon. "Are you sure he won't turn on us?" Yuan Shuai asked concerned eyeing him as Hai Xu Feng looked back at him. "If he wants Jizhou to survive then he better do his part," Morgana said swinging her leg over Entei as she rode him. Ling Jiu nodded as the fire wing opened the portal to the camp in Valindria. Zira was fetching water with Lavinia when they saw a portal open a few meters away. "Something is coming." Lavinia placed the bucket down and pulled out her sword ready to fight. Zira followed suit as she stood tall yet unsure if whatever crossed that portal would be an enemy or an ally.
"Relax girls it's the queen can't you feel her powerful presence?" Michaela smiled as she walked with the elders to greet them. Zira gasped upon seeing everyone cross over finally reuniting with them for a long time. Max contained himself from slapping his Kaithe to gallop to his beloved. Upon seeing the queen moved ahead slowly. "Elder's reinforcements have finally arrived I'm sorry for the delay." Morgana's eyes searched the groups making sure they all had entered the portal. "Everyone is finally here." Sung Xiang sighed in relief as he plopped down against some sacks of rice.
Murat patted Gu Jian telling him to look over. Miyun smiled brightly upon seeing Gu Jian. "My love." Gu Jian ran through the crowd and stumbled to get to her as she climbed off the horse and helped him up. Murat smiled at them seeing they embraced each other with love. Zira hugged Max tightly and gave him passionate kisses. Lavinia lightly punched Yasin on the shoulder as he grabbed her in a chokehold playfully before making her lean over to plant a kiss on her lips. Eva stood in front of Murat looking at him expectantly.
Murat smiled and picked her up on his shoulders making her squeal. "Put me down you imbecile!" Eva yelled slapping his back. "You wanted me to surprise you now quietly." Murat slapped her butt then placed her on her horse lying down on her horse and then guided it into the stable while she embarrassed looked at him as she yelled at him to get her off. "You can do it yourself now quit yelling you'll scare it," Murat smirked as the horse kept walking behind him. Ender moved her horse away from Levent as he approached her and reached out to help her. "Ooh, do I need to use my magic here too?" Ling Jiu smirked but was glared at by Aya.
"Stop it Pianran we've got important things to do." Morgana scolded her making Ling Jiu pout. "Let's settle in and plan out our strategy." Morgana looked over her shoulder to where Hai Xu Feng was. As he was asleep recovering strength. Xue Yang helped Zander place Hai Xu Feng in a room with everything he would need. "The queen said not to let him off the cuffs," Zander whispered as Xue Yang shooed him as he placed the blanket over him. "He's still her lap dog regardless of what eon is." Hai Xu Feng opened his eyes as Xue Yang laughed. "Yeah but then again you are not to be trusted till the last part of your job." Xue Yang walked backwards and turned off the light for him.
Yuan Chun scratched her arm nervously as she looked over the empty battlefield. "Don't worry he won't harm you," Morgana said as she walked up to her. "I'm more worried about something else." Yuan Chun confessed. "Sunny's father is Lu Yan not Yan Xun right?" Morgana smiled seeing Yuan Chun's surprised face. "How did?" Yuan Chun whispered. "He's too kind that little boy also light and darkness don't match." Morgana sighed walking away as she played with the charms of her hanfu.
"Wait does that mean?" Yuan Chun turned around watching Morgana walk away. Trying to pinpoint what exactly she meant. Sung Xiang organized his house as Hiromi entered. She looked around and smiling set her stuff down only to be snatched by Sung Xiang who arranged it for her. "How's Sung Huang?" He hugged her messing with her hair slightly looking at the gift he sent her on her head. "He loved the gifts and misses you." Hiromi bopped his nose with her fingers. "How about you? Did you miss me?" Sung Xiang smiled down at her as she blushed. "A lot." Hiromi jumped into his arms as he carried her towards the bedroom.
Hai Lanying looked out the window as she looked out nervously as Seher returned from placing her son to sleep. "You know you'll give yourself up." Seher clocked her tongue annoyed as she sat on the couch. "They have come for me and you know what that means." Hai Lanying looked at her scared. "They are coming for all of us but we can still fight back." Seher ignored her. "You know now that I think about it life is a fickle thing." Hai Lanying sighed as she looked at the charm that her brother had given her. "I did a lot of things I wasn't proud of." Lanying sat near the window gazing at the stars.
"I could have married a powerful husband and lived under his rules." Lanying closed her eyes. "Yet I wanted more, I wanted to be equal to them." Lanying turned around to Seher who was combing her hair. "I told myself if Morgana did it so would I." Lanying chuckled at how wrong she was. "I wanted a title that even put her to shame, yet fell in love with a top scholar who was already married." Lanying scoffed as she played with her braid.
"He was so attentive to his wife that it made me want to have what she had." Lanying sighed upon remembering his face. "I made him kill her, yet he failed and she took revenge on driving so madly in love with her that he ended up killing himself at the city's gate." Lanying shed a tear as she remembered being held back as Yanwan passed her with her army. Yanwan had blood on her cheeks but it wasn't hers it was his after she shot him so she would let Yang Tang (Tristan's past life)go.
"My enemy is in those lines yet she still calls me her friend." Lanying smiled as she remembered when all the princesses gathered. After reuniting in Egypt as if nothing had happened. "I tried keeping my distance from them especially her yet she would always come to me with such warmth that her wintery persona wasn't there." Lanying drank the tea where given to her. "She had you fooled poor thing." Seher sat next to her looking out the window.
"I can have someone brought who would read our future," Seher suggested trying to distract Lanying. "What would that change?" Lanying asked confused. "It will help us distract ourselves from thinking about either past or present." Seher looked at Lanying for directions. "Fine." Lanying sighed when Seher squealed and called upon her guard. Lanying found it odd that the woman would always wear a mask around them. To the point of raising her suspicion that it was someone she knew. Li Xia bowed and left to find the physic Seher would often accuse him of. Li Xia wandered through the rubble of the buildings that were nearing the citadel.
Entering an old ruined building that seemed to almost collapse in itself she navigated cautiously till she reached the room where the woman sat on the couch facing the gaping hole in the house. "Seher requests your presence." Li Xia bowed as the woman got up turning around. "That woman is always playing devil's advocate," Morgana said scaring Li Xia. "Your majesty I didn't know." Li Xia apologized for not recognizing her. "Don't worry I'll summon her and give Seher and Lanying false hope they are willing to cling onto." Morgana smiled as she waved her hands around.
Just as a summoning circle appeared and a cuffed Báthory appeared. "Your excellency you summoned me which means you forgive me!" Báthory bowed still not able to see. "They want you for divination Báthory," Morgana told her as she brought back her eyesight. "Ah I see but that's all I'm allowed to?" Báthory asked as she blinked adjusting to the darkness of the night. "Try to harm me and my people your powers will recede as your senses will." Morgana smiled at her as Báthory nodded in agreement. "After your mission of foretelling you may roam free." Morgana chuckled disappearing leaving Li Xia with Báthory alone.
"Ah help me around here I might've gotten my sight back but still need time to fully adjust." Báthory struggled getting up. "Yes, elder." Li Xia helped her up but was smacked by Báthory. "I'm just a lonesome fortune teller do not expose me." Báthory scolded as the young woman apologized. Li Xia helped her get inside the area and through the buildings till she got to Seher's house. "Wait outside." Báthory tapped Li Xia's shoulder signaling she wasn't needed anymore. Seher opened the door and found Báthory and greeted her pulling her inside. Seher gave a pouch with money to Li Xia and shooed her away.
"Hansel meet Lanying." Seher introduced her to Lanying who tried remembering where she had met the person. "Glad to make acquaintances." Báthory threw Lanying off guard not expecting the woman to have such a tone of voice. "Please do a divination for us," Seher said as she waved the pouch in her hands. As I entered the room I noticed how silent the candle wicks went. As if some invisible hand must be holding onto its air making it impossible to stay lit up. The only steady flame was cast in the room on the far right. As if it protected the child who was inside. The light seemed like it had multiple glares shining bright in contrast to those who lit the whole house.
The air felt heavy as if it all invaded this area ever since I stepped in. The stench of death lingered in the air and haunted the night as a predator for its next victim. As I saw the queen of Jizhou in the face I saw her tiredness. Of running and fighting, only on the brink of death, their true face is shown. Exhaustion and pain etched into her growing lines and new silver hair. If they only knew this time if they die there's no coming back. Báthory held out her hand asking for the cup. Lanying unsure placed her hand on hers. Clicking her tongue she smacked it and took the cup away from her.
"Oh, I thought you needed my hand." Lanying rubbed the back of her palm as she looked at Báthory who hummed. She moved the last drops around the cup then turned around onto the plate. She then lifted the cup and looked into it. "You had a very troubled life full of desire and pain going hand in hand don't you see here two hands holding each other." Báthory showed her. "Here is a broken heart, seems you've either broken hearts or you've got your heart broken multiple times," Báthory told her placing the cup down. Báthory grabbed her hands and studied them then looked at her eyes. "You'll fall in love again soon for one last time." Báthory clicked her tongue as she shook her head.
"That one last time might end your life." Lanying pulled her hands back not believing what she said. "There's fire everywhere around you." Báthory Said as she grabbed the lock of hair of Lanying pulling the feather off her. "Just like a phoenix either burns out to die or to be reborn anew." Báthory pulled Lanying's hands back to her and handed her the feather. Lanying just stared at the feather as she gripped it close without uttering a word. "Now do me!" Seher sat near Báthory handing her her cup. "Your memory has been rewritten," Báthory smirked upon her confusion. "To survive you cheated and lied." Báthory didn't even glance at her cup.
"Yet for that, you paid the price." Báthory glanced her up and down. "Yes my children, except for Mahmud, he's still alive." Seher smiled as she looked back at the doorway. "The sea claims tears of those who shed tears upon its shores," Báthory told her a riddle to mess with her. "For long you wish to be free and the sea will claim its price token for your liberty." Báthory grabbed her by the chin making her stare at her in the eyes. "Knives will spear through your beloved as the heart is devoured by the flames." Báthory let her go as Seher shed a tear down her cheek. "That's all I have to say." Báthory stood up and Seher wiped her tears and helped her out of the house.
"Thank you." Seher gave her four pouches of money before closing the door. Li Xia kicked herself from leaning against the wall and motioned for Báthory to follow her out. "See you on the other side." Báthory waved her off before walking away into the dark gloomy night. "Pretty weird right but somehow useful once you get what she said." Seher yawned stretching. "I'm heading to bed," Lanying whispered as she went to her room. Lying on the bed she looked up at the ceiling where the chipped paint of the sky with birds showed. Sighing she turned around in her bed and drifted off to sleep.
The gang was laughing at the point in the movie where the protagonist fell. Mai was fast asleep on the couch and Atem saw her uncomfortable face. He got up from his seat and slowly picked her up. She turned around to see if anyone else had caught him only to see that everyone was focused on the movie. Yugi eyed the pharaoh yet continued watching the movie upon seeing that Mai was asleep. Atem carried her up the stairs to her old room. He helped her get out of the dress and placed a nightgown she had left there. He lifted her head gently to take care of her hijab and crown that she was made to wear.
Mai groaned but did not even wake up only got comfortable on the bed. Atem covered her up and checked if she had a fever. After letting go she grabbed onto his hand holding it closely to her chest making him blush. "You dumb bimbo don't leave me." Mai groaned making Atem chuckle knowingly she meant Joey. He leaned and grabbed the pillow on the other side placing it between her arms managing her to let go of him and hug the pillow. Atem stood up and left the room only to bump into Daye hatun who looked at him. "I brought Mai to her room she seems um comfortable over on the couch." Atem immediately said as Daye smiled.
"As it is except for you Pharaoh, always take care of the mother of your child." Daye hatun bowed not leaving Atem to defend himself. Atem sighed and went to find Angela who was in her room crying. Her attendants helped her by placing ointment on her feet. Atem opened the door and saw her getting healed. "Atem." Angela cried even louder upon seeing him. Atem sighed and sat next to her in her bed hugging her as she clung to him. "You should've behaved." Atem caressed her hair gently as she pouted. "I'll try my hardest." Angela hugged him as she smiled behind his back.
Angela looked at Atem and traced his nose and lips. "You're injured stop it." Atem grabbed her hand off his chest. "Just stay here with me then." Angela pleaded making Atem sigh nodding fully to her request. Yugi stretched as they all headed to their rooms. "The pharaoh is so romantic." One of the maids gushed. "He's staying to take care of Lady Angela after her being hurt, she might as well be known as the queen in his heart." Another giggled as they passed the gang. "How annoying, this is why I didn't miss this place." Téa scoffed annoyed.
"They seemed not to have manners." Amane agreed with her on the actions of the maids. "Well, why don't we go sleep in Téa's room Amane?" Serenity suggested and the girls left the guys. "Hey Tristan, are you leaving tomorrow?" Joey asked making Tristan confused. "Where would I go nimrod?" Tristan looked at him. "Well tuh kickin' butts Tristan aren't yuh one of dem, or what?" Joey grabbed onto Tristan playfully. "I was assigned to be a guard on the company and half of Yugi's bodyguard." Tristan pushed him away. "Eh, you don't have to." Yugi's sweat dropped as he felt awkward being watched by his friend.
"Of course that was only implied Yugi I was messing with you." Tristan joked as they all headed to their respective rooms. Yugi sighed as he leaned over the railing looking up at the sky. His phone buzzed interrupting his train of thought. He looked down to see it was a video call from Méng Yáo. "Can't sleep?" Méng Yáo giggled as the phone was pulled away from her. "What are you up to you better not be flirting with her she's mine." A Li sat down on her sister making her complain but laugh at how he acted to protect her.
"She's the one who called me." Yugi laughed as he adjusted himself in his bed as he spoke. "Hey, tomorrow I'll send for you... Wait until tomorrow of Shifu agrees we can go visit you and we can hang out." A Li made plans as Méng Yáo shook her head. "What everyone here is practically gone, the guys and girls left to visit their parents or go to say goodbye to those participating in the war." A Li pouted annoyed at his sister. "Yeah that's true but you need to be monitored so it's different." Méng Yáo argued. "I'll call mother and prove you wrong." A Li left to get his phone and talk to Gu Chen.
"Sorry about that." Méng Yáo apologized smiling. "No worries I know how he is." Yugi chuckled remembering how moody the young one was. "You look beautiful. I mean you always look beautiful not that you don't now." Yugi stumbled on his words making Méng Yáo laugh. "I get it Yugi, you look comfortable." Méng Yáo laughed making Yugi feel way more embarrassed. "I bet it's more peaceful where you guys are staying than here." Yugi stared attentively at her face as she looked around. "Yeah, you can say that it's less hot." Méng Yáo scrunched her nose as she laughed.
Yugi laughed with her as he stared at the camera as which shook in her hand. "I heard you're good at billiards." Méng Yáo asked after quieting down. "Yes and to almost every single game." Yugi felt like he wanted to brag about it to her. "Well, you're the king of games of course you're good at them." Méng Yáo smiled. "Atem knows more than I so I don't think I'm that good." Yugi trailed off. "He's your father of course he's good maybe that's where you got it from." Méng Yáo complimented making Yugi half smile back at her. "I'm sorry if that made it awkward for you." Méng Yáo apologized.
"It's alright." Yugi smiled softly at her. "Did A Li even touch the gift I gave him?" Yugi asked curious remembering what it was. "He played with it for a bit but stuffed it in the box Joey gave him." Méng Yáo recalled seeing A Li scoff as he threw it inside the box. "I see hope you guys liked your gifts." Yugi pressed his lips as he tried finding other things to talk about. "Have you already had dinner?" Yugi said at the same time as Méng Yáo causing both to laugh once more. "I did," Yugi answered her question. "I did too a while ago with Uncle Yuan Shuai." Méng Yáo's eyes saddened as he mentioned him.
"Well I have to go to Yugi tomorrow A Li will text you if we can go meet up with you and your friends." Méng Yáo waved before hanging up. Yugi sighed placing his phone on the bed, getting up to place his pjs on. His phone buzzed and he grabbed it as he lay down once more. It was a text message from Zhao Jian wishing him goodnight. Smiling Yugi responded then connected his phone to the charger then got comfortable in his bed falling asleep.
Morgana stared up at the sky as she sat on the ground using her powers to look beyond the empty battlefield. To inside her enemies' houses as they all got ready to sleep. Blinking she got up and saw Yuan Shuai walk out of his tent. "Can't sleep?" Yuan Shuai asked making her smile. "I was going to ask the same." Morgana walked up to him grabbing his braid twirling it around her fingers. Yuan Shaui observed her as she played with his hair. "Tomorrow they will be out of our way." Yuan Shuai grabbed her hand that had a necklace similar to Li Susu's.
"I wonder what in your twisted mind, made such a deal with her." Yuan Shuai pushed her forehead away with his finger. "None of your business but I'm far off from her." Morgana showed her necklace which was almost halfway purple. "I seriously wonder what its purpose is." Yuan Shuai was about to touch it when Morgana slapped him away. "Never touch something that isn't yours." Morgana playfully glared at him before walking away. "Aren't you always touching things that aren't yours?" Yuan Shuai teased a making Morgana stop in her tracks. She turned around and waved before entering her tent. She lay down on her bed annoyed seeing the necklace. Knowing very well what he had meant.
