Captured Chapter Fiveteen
Reina walked up to the castle, anxious to see Avaele again. She hurried into the castle and krept up to the big doors to the King and Queen's throne room. Reina put her ear up to the door, but didnt hear the violin, so she didn't go in. She pulled away from the door and thought that she heard crying. She ignored it; she had to see Avaele. Reina ran to Avaele's room, bursting through the door.
She looked around the room, not seeing Avaele anywhere. She sighed and exited the room. Reina walked slowly over to the library, getting her breath back. Reina made her way to the bookcase, climbed the ladder, and tilted back the book. She smiled when the door clicked open. She jumped down from the ladder and looked around, making sure that no one saw what she did. The secret tower has been their secret, since when Avaele brought Reina there.
Reina quietly shut the bookcase, and rushed up the stairs, smiling. When she got to the top, she frowned instantly. Avaele wasn't there. Then she heard the bookcase click open. Reina gasped and hid herself behind one of the satin curtains covering the walls. She heard footsteps coming up the stairs. Whoever it was had reached the top. The person went over to the velvet curtains and pulled them open. Sunlight filled the room, and made it's way to Reina, exposing her shadow behind the curtain. The person chuckled," Come out Reina."
Relief filled Reina when she recognized the voice as Avaele's dad. "I didn't know that you k ew about it. I thought no one else knew besides me and Avaele." Reina replied, blushing. He just smiled. "I was the one that showed it to her. I made her pinky prmise that she wouldn't show or tell anyone until her 18th birthday, and when she did, she could only show one person."
Reina beamed, glad that Avaele had chosen her. Her thoughts were innturupted. " So, what are you doing up here?" Reina shook her head, remembering his question. "Oh, I was just looking for Avaele, have you seen her?" He sighed," No, not for a couple of days." he looked down over Cauprom. Reina was confused, but then she caught on. "Is she-" she paused, not wanting to fi ish her thought.
He answered back shortly ,"We don't know. All we know is that she's gone." Reina thought hard, trying to figure it out. She gasped, her hand shooting up to her mouth. " Do you think Abaddon had anything to do with it?" she asked, choking back tears. "That snake." he growled, his eyes dark and hard.
