My butt was in the air, as I tried to sit properly, and get a better look at who was driving. After a few tries (and a couple hits in Lucas' head) I was finally able to sit down properly on his lap. His being Lucas of course. I'm not sitting on someone that I don't know's lap! I finally got settled in and had a chance to look at my kidnapper. My mouth formed an 'O' shape.
"Dad? What the fuck?" My father, Michael Bonnie, smirked.
"Hello Haven. What a great family gathering. Now try and keep your boyfriend here quiet, before you end up tied up, and I don't want to do that to my little angel now do I?" I looked at Lucas, who's eye were looking worried.
"I told you to leave!" He whispered in my ear. I ignored him and kept looking at my dad. Wasn't he suppose to be in jail? I asked him. He laughed at my question.
"It's called getting out for good behavior. Now I can catch up on everything I missed doing with you. once I get rid of him." He pointed at Lucas. No, he wouldn't touch him.
"No!"
"That's not for you to decide!" I looked at Lucas. No way in hell was I about to let my father hurt him.
"Please! Don't hurt him, and I'll do anything you ask. Just let him go!" He looked at me, a creepy smile coming on his face.
"Or, you're going to do what I say whether you like it or not!" He slapped me. Lucas struggled a bit, but I just sat him down and buried my face in the curve of his neck. What was going to happen?
After what seemed like hours of driving, we reached our destination. I looked at the broken down house and I felt a pain for remembrance from it.
"Where are you?" I asked, as my father tied me up with Lucas and pulled us in the house. He didn't answer until we were inside and all the doors were locked. He didn't need to anymore. I knew where we were.
"Home." was all he said. He had brought me back to the place I had spent my first three years of my life at. The place where my mother died.
My father started to take us up the stairs, leading me to my old room. He tied Lucas' hands the the bed pole and did the same with me.
"I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere and I want this door open." He laughed as he left the room. We both struggled as much as we could to get out. It was no use. He was good at tying people up - and I should know from experience.
"I told you to leave!" I looked at Lucas. He snapped.
"I wouldn't leave you behind!" He started to talk until I cut him off.
"If it was me who told you to leave while being tie up would you leave?" He looked down.
"Thought so." We sat there is silence for a while. I herd Michael downstairs in the kitchen making something. I decided not to call him 'dad'. He lost that chance when you kidnapped me and my boyfriend.
"Haven, listen to me, if you get the chance, I want you to run and never look back." His words caught me off guard. The hell I'll leave him behind!
"Did he drug you or something? I'm not leaving you." Lucas glared at me so I glared back.
"Look, he won't hurt me. I'm his daughter. Right now, I'm scared for you! Which means you should be too." It wasn't a lie. He wouldn't hurt me as long as Lucas was alive. He's going to go after Lucas so I need to be there to protect him.
"But Haven-" Someone rang the door bell. What the hell? Michael went to answer it. As if me or Lucas can - us being tied to the bed and all.
"Hey Angelo! Long time no see, bud!" I herd Michael say. The person - Angelo - returned the greeting.
"Look, I have a surprise upstairs. Go check it out." Angelo ran up the stairs and opened my door. He was tall, brown hair and blue eyes. I could have sworn I've seen those eyes before. Even the name hit a memory deep inside me. He looked about eighteen, two years older then me. He face expression went from excited to freaked out when he saw me and Lucas handcuffed to the bed. Michael came up, biggest grin ever on his face, and placed a hand on Angelo's shoulder.
"What do you think?" Michael asked, proud at having kidnapped two teens. Angelo turned to him.
"What do I think? You kidnapped two teen kids! Right after you get out of jail!" Angelo was yelling. His voice was deep and if Jerry was here and not kidnapped, she would so sleep with him.
"Now, Angelo, that's no way to talk to your father." My mouth dropped open. I couldn't believe what I just herd. It couldn't be true, but yet, I saw it with each passing moment. The golden brown hair, the blue eyes, pale face. Angelo was my brother.
"Dad, explain all this!" Angelo gestured at us. I turned over and looked at Lucas, shock on his face too.
"Well son, this is your sister and her boyfriend. Naughty ones so I had to chain them up. Come to think of it, I don't like the idea of my daughter dating. Haven, your bed looks like it will only hold you soon." I struggled with my hands, trying to break free. Like hell was this bed going to only hold one person. Angelo ran over to me, unlocking the chains. Maybe having a brother could be good.
"Angelo, leave her alone!" He shook him off and started to unlock Lucas once I was done. The first thing Lucas did was run over and hug me. I buried my face into his shoulder. Michael came shortly after, and tried to separate us. Angelo brushed him off.
"Where do you guys live? I'll drive you home." Angelo said. Michael was getting red each passing moment. He ran over to Angelo, trying to knock him down, only to be punched, and knocked out cold by Angelo.
"Let's go, he won't stay down for long." Angelo pulled us out of the room and locked the door. I stopped mid-way at the stairs.
"Wait, why are you doing this? He's your father." Angelo looked at me as if I said the sky was blue.
"And you're my sister, right? I almost lost you once, I won't loose you again, especially not to my dad. Our dad, I mean."
"No, no, your dad. My dad is back at my house waiting for me to finish driving school and get my ass back home." Angelo laughed at that, and Lucas smirked. I finally started going down the stairs again. The others followed. We were about to leave when I big bang stopped us. Michael came running down the stairs.
"Angelo, you shouldn't have done that to your old paps. I'm getting too old to fight, and you're getting too old to play childish games. Now hand over my daughter. You can even keep the friend. I just want haven back-"
"No! I'm not yours to keep. Now why don't you go wash your face and brush your teeth and get a job. Stay out of my life and I won't tell anyone this happened." Did I really just say that?
I herd Michael laugh at my last statement. Man, why can I look intimidating?
"Haven, sweetie, don't talk to your father like that, or else, your little friend here will suffer." I felt Lucas come closer to me and Angelo's grip harden. I knew this wasn't the time to kid anymore. Michael was serious and even if he wasn't, I'm not about to put Lucas' life on the line because of my smart mouth.
"Dad, leave them alone. They're just kids!" I wanted to yell teenagers but this wasn't the time. Man, why couldn't he still be knocked out for a bit longer? Just until we left I mean.
Michael let out a laugh. Wow, talk about creepy.
"Angelo, Angelo, Angelo, when will you learn? My daughter, my choices." I wanted to slap him. I am not his daughter. I never was and I never will be. He killed my real mother and then kidnaps me, threatens to kill my boyfriend and then tells my long lost brother that he cannot protect me? Nope, the only parents I have are Robin and Julian McKlan.
Angelo stepped forward, eyeing Michael. I felt my phone start to ring and all eyes were on me.
"What? I'm a teenager I have a phone." I reached into my pocket to answer it.
"Don't!" I looked up to see who was saying it. It was Lucas. This was the first time he talked since our attemp to escape. I looked back at tmy phone to see who was calling. It was Anthony. This was perfect! Anthony thought that I'd go back to Lucas' house and downloaded an app that can tell him where I am at all times. He would find us for sure!
"Listen to your friend, Haven. Maybe I'll keep him alive some more. He seems to be the only one to listen to. Don't worry, that will change." I glared at Michael.
"Now all of you, back ustairs, and that includes you Angelo. One by one, we started up the stairs, Michael following behind Angelo in the end. Escaping is not going to be easy, but hopefully, we can all make it out alive.
