If you had one word to describe your life, which would you choose? An aging experience so mysterious and lives made up of shifting stages, its hard to detail life so little. Do we brand life as the memories tender to the touch? Or maybe the moments that felt too real? Nightmarish the second we're awake as they rain.

Do we capture life as the days that have brought us to our knees? The nights that have swallowed our hearts? Or will humanity remember life as if it were a dream our hands only got to touch once? Still, I wonder, how do you define a string of time so simply?

Life will never be easy. On a daily we practice with countless emotions to patiently choose the words to express them. With expression comes vulnerable questions drenched with rude answers. In their discovery we play with ideas. We believe the possessing voice that follows. Dragging in its heavy footsteps, the souls of our feet have the potential to damn tomorrow's destiny.

In the choice to listen, bend, succumb to such an ugly perspective, we become nothing else. Unless, in those moments, seconds, days we spent tearing ourselves apart, we instead opened our eyes to the mind. There, talking with our darkest self, the heart may witness how beautiful the ugly can become if given the soil.

Being human hurts. It is something that will never be fair. There is no doubt that pain is the price of our innocence and sorrow the consumption of our hearts. Though, life is far greater than the cost we may have paid. Peace is found in forgiveness. Mercy is the will to accept all that we cannot change. Love is a boundless key to freedom. Any which door we walk through, the choices we make, the legacy we leave behind, everything starts with who we want to be.

We must be more than our pain. Acknowledge we're only human. You and I, we are the teachers. We are the lesson in every loss. We are the pieces that have fallen apart too many times as we are the fragments built infinitely. The only way to become our greatest victory is to first understand we are our greatest obstacle. We are the colors stuck to our fingers as we paint this portrait we call home. The picture we see is up to us.

Humanity is a gift. Life is a chance to experience everything our skin has time to touch. If I had only one word, I'd describe life as if it were a secret.
