Seulgi's POV
"I just want to tell, I haven't dance and sing in a while." Joohyun said while parking the car out in one of their family buildings.
For a few weeks an entire floor of a building was turned into a studio for us. When Joohyun told me about it, I was hella surprised. She said it was not her doing but her father's.
I know anything is possible with them but this was on another level. Tiffany unnie said, it'll be for the best if we use it. So we accepted it whole heartedly. I mean who are we to decline?
"I'm pretty sure you'll do fine, Hyun." I said.
"Guide me, okay?" I nodded. She went out of the car and I followed.
She hold my hand before pulling me to the elevator.
I've notice some people go in and out of the elevator as we go up, but they don't seem like the recognize us at all. Or they just don't bother to look up because the look so busy with other stuffs.
When we reach our floor. There was a single door there. It's seems like they intend to hide the room from employee's curiosity.
"Do you have the key card?" She asks, I took it out my bag and give it to her.
"Don't you have one?" I ask her. She smiled.
"I have." She then show me hers. "I just want to see yours." She said checking my card.
"It was your idea to have a costomized keycard, wasn't it?" I suspiciously look at her.
"It's cute." She handed me back my card after using it to open the door. "Look at you embracing the bear animal." She said teasingly as we enter.
There was a bear art on my card.
"How about you? You put a bunny." She stopped walking and face me.
"Don't I look like one?" She smiled brightly, widening her eyes, then putting up her hands to both side of her head.
I just admire her. How lucky am I to see this expression from her, every single time, when I know anyone would give up anything just to see her smile a little.
"Falling in love with me all over again?" I came back from her trance to see a smirk plastered on her face already.
"Hmm." I hummed and nodded. I leaned closer to her and kiss both her cheeks. "You're so cute and I love you." I then squeeze her to a hug.
I recieve a pinch on my side.
"You are so random, but I love you too." She giigled, hugging me back.
A fake cough was heard that made the two of us froze. We slowly move apart and look face where that came from.
I think half of the team just saw everything that we did.
"Hey." I said and awkwardly wave at them.
"You will get use to them." Hyun's manager said to everyone else.
"So, they're really like that?" Tae unnie asks. Unnie nodded before facing us.
"Dance studio is at the end of the hallway." Unnie pointed at her right. "They've been waiting for you two to arrive."
Hyun and I said thank you and went straid to where they pointed us to go to.
We entered the room and the girls are already there, talking with the coregrapher. We bowed at each other for greetings.
"How long have you been waiting?" I ask.
"I just arrived too." Yeri said. "I must say, the place is so impressive. We've got all that we need here."
"Yeah. It's like we have our own office already." Sooyoungie. "That's the perks of having a Bae part of your plans."
"Let's not start with that talk." Hyun covered her ears saying that. We all laugh.
"Why don't we start warming up now?" The choreographer said.
We followed her lead. After a few hours of helping the Sooyoung, Yerim, and Hyun learn back the basics... We're flowing in so good already.
We heard a knock on our doors, there comes our managers.
"Take a break first." They've brought foods and drinks for us.
"Unnie! Help! I'm dying!" Yeri dramatically went to her manager. "Why did you agree to this?"
"You begged mo for it, remember?" We all laugh hearing that from her manager.
We all form in circle as we eat the food they brought.
"You five really could've made a perfect group." My manager speak out. "The company really fucked you guys up."
"At least we'll try to be a group now." I said.
"Do you think people will still appreciate it? I mean, don't you think we're almost a decade too late already?"
"I think people will get curious." Our choreographer said. "You all have built a name in the industry already. Curiousity, will get them to tune in."
"She's right. As long as we give them a quality product, this will be successful." Seungwan's manager said.
We all know this is going to be huge. Maybe that's why everyone is taking risks here.
Wendy have a radio station that she's taking care of. For me, we're almost done making all materials for my comeback.
Most of the time Sooyoung, Yerim, and Joohyun are ones who came to the studio for lessons.
It came to a point that they were able to record the songs first before us.
Joohyun's drama already ended filming, that's why she has the time now.
It was becoming busier for me, as weeks past, so I seldom visit.
Since we already finalized the songs on my upcoming mini, Tae unnie is now focused on the group songs. I seldom see her in the company these days. Even my choreographer is not checking on my practice anymore, to help the girls more.
I have a two day break before another shoot. I cam from the company and then I decided to visit the studio. I know Joohyun's here now. I don't know about the girls.
As I pressed the floor when I entered the elevator, I felt eyes on me. I choose to just ignore. None of the people I'm with in the elevator pressed any floor as we go up. It made me confuse, because I'm sure they are not part of us.
When the elevator opens none of went out. Since I was a little in the back, I excused myself. I sense them followed me. That's when I look back.
"Can I help you?" I ask them.
Looking at them, they look like employees here, with their ID's and look.
"Kang Seulgi, right?" One of them asks. I nodded.
I notice them look behind me from time to time. It was the only door in the entire floor. I see them whisper to each other.
"Can we ask something?" One of them hesitantly said.
"If it's about what's behind the door. I'm sorry I can't tell you." I said and I've seen the disappointment to some of them.
All of a sudden elevator opened up again, revealing my girlfriend and her manager.
I notice how their reaction turned confused seeing other people here. Then they saw me.
"Seulgi." Joohyun called worriedly. "Everything alright?" She went to my side. I give her a nod.
"Can we help you with something?" Unnie gives off a strong aura as she speaks to them. I can already see them scared and nudging each other.
"I think they just got curious, unnie." I help them out. Unnie can become scary at times.
"Go back to your respective works now." Unnie said and they all went to the side of th elevator and waited for it to comeback.
I brought out my keycard and use it to the door for us to enter.
We were met by a sudden shout that startled us.
"Was that Kim Yerim?" Hyun asks me. I nodd before we run to the room for the media team. It was open, that's why Yerim's shout were loud.
"Why is she wearing a gaming headphones?" I ask to Hyun.
I look at the Yerim in disbelief. I went to her to see her playing in one of the computers. The people here were just looking at her amused.
I look at the screen and her character is close to dying already. I waited for it to happen before removing her earphones.
"Yaaah! What are you doing? This is not a gaming room."
"Unnies let me do it. They told me I can use one of the computers since we aren't using it yet. Even Joohyun unnie lets me." She explained.
"Just let her." She said. Yerim always gets what she want with Joohyun. I know that since trainee days.
"She and Sooyoung helped us with the improvement of the designs for aesthetic we're going up to." One of the team said. "They actually had great ideas. We were just taking a break that's why we let her play."
I then see Yerim stick her tongue out. Aah this girl!
"See? Now if you'll excuse me... I have revived." She put back her earphones on.
I heard laughs from everyone.
"Where's Sooyoung?" I ask.
"I know she's with the creative team. She said she wants to help them. She's very hands on with everything." Tiffany unnie said, then face me. "As for you, it's your time to record. Taeyeon's waiting for you."
"Why don't we give her rest first." Hyun said to unnie. "She was busy the whole week and she just came from their company."
"You can rest at the recording studio." Unnie said before going out of the room. Hyun and I followed behind her.
"Unniee!!" Hyun whined.
"Stop whining, I know you just want to spend time with her. Why don't you go together, cuddle each other there."
"You just said Tae unnie is waiting there." Hyun said. Unnie stopped and face us.
"Exactly! She's waiting." Unnie look at me. "She's been missing you to death these days. If I am you, I'll finish what I have to do here, for you to be able to go home and she can have you all to herself already." she said it like it's a really serious advice. "As for me, I still have work to do. I'll leave your girlfriend to you." Unnie patted my shoulder before finding her way out.
"Hyun. I think it's unnie who needs a break and have some rest, not me." I said looking at unnie until she disappeared in our view.
"You think so?" I face her and nod.
"After all this, let's gift her a vacation." She agreed to that.
I hold her hand. "Want to watch me record?"
"Would love to."
We walk ourselves to where Tae unnie is waiting. We knocked before slowly entering.
"It's good that you two are here." Unnie said as soon as she sees us. "I'm working on your unit song and I seriously need your voice in it already." She said the last part to me. "Have you been practicing the song?"
"Yes unnie." I said.
"You wanna hear Irene's part first before you enter the booth?" I excitedly nodded.
"I would love to." I said. We took a seat on the couch
When unnie played it, I was stunned. I look at my girlfriend in shock.
"Her voice suits perfectly with the song." unnie said. "You were right, she can really sing. Her voice is unique... Wait! Are you surprised?"
"I haven't really heard her sing in a long time. Now I wish I had kept hearing that singing voice from her." Hyun scoff at what I said.
"What are you saying?" Hyun said shyly.
"It's true." I smiled proudly. "Right unnie?"
"Even I am impressed by your singing voice. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will too." unnie said.
"Thank you." Hyun said to unnie. She smiled back at me. I know she took that complement to heart.
We were just looking at each other.
"So..." Unnie spoke that made us look at her. She chuckled. "Let's start?"
"Right. To the booth, I go." I stand up and went to the booth.
When I went inside, I see them talking and laughing without me hearing.
Hyun was standing already, I think asking unnie how to let me hear them, because the next thing I hear were their voices.
"Love, this is the first time I'll hear you record first hand." she excitedly said.
"Looks like Tiffany's right. Nothing really bothers you two." I saw Hyun. squinted her eyes on unnie.
"When did she tell you that? During your date with her, the other day?" I was surprise to hear that.
"What?!" I exclaimed. I see Unnie steal the thing to Hyun that made me not hear them again.
"Let's start already." unnie said. I heard Hyun's laugh from the other side.
I'm glad she gets along with the team. It's still with the team, but at least she's opening up to others more now.
Not gonna lie, I feel more excited working on this secret album than the other. Maybe because I feel free with this, or just the fact that I'm where I'm suppose to be now.
I look at my girlfriend and mouthed an I love you to her.
