HOW CAN I BE HAPPY..? HOW CAN I MOVE ON WHEN ALL I HAVE IN THIS DAMN WORLD WAS NOTHING BUT PAIN AND SORROW..?
...
"You know Jaune, I swear you never stop having such a gloomy face. You should really smile more often."
A silver haired girl in black says to her friend.
"Should I really? Ya know Its hard for me to do so when there's nothing to really smile about..."
The blonde boy replied cynically
"But you smile when I'm around, don't you? Or- do you just not enjoy my company?"
She retorted back in a tone that sounds hurtful
That got a immediate reaction out of Jaune as he panically replied,
"What!? Wait nonono, wait I'm sorry. I DO enjoy it whenever your around and you DO make me happy, sorry If I made you doubt our relationship."
The boy quickly answered back in hopes to keep her happy.
"...Pft" She held in her laughter before she couldn't hold it back at the boys flustered face "Pfff-Puahahahaha!"
"Oi! I thought you were serious for a moment, are you just gonna make fun of me all day or actually come here and help me out Angelica?"
Jaune exclaimed, a faint smirk playing on his lips.
With Angelica's laughing fit toning down, she moves close to the boy
"Haa~ sorry, I cant help it Jaune. Your way too easy to tease sometimes, plus, ought to put that frown upside down no? Your way to gloomy for someone your age."
Jaune promptly rolled his eyes before looking back at his handiwork
"What are you planning on adding to this one Jaune?"
Angelica questioned him as she looked down at what he was making
"I'm thinking of a sort of gravity dust implement to it in hopes of making a more destructive force whenever I swing it down."
As Jaune tinkered with the enormous great sword and grabbed a fairly big purple crystal and fitted it inside the weapon's hilt.
"If that's the case, what's the point of making it bigger than your body can even handle?"
She questioned it as she looked down the where the cracks were forming beneath the table the weapons sat on.
"The gravity dust would also help in making it lighter for me to wield. Lighter for carry, much heavier when swinging. And, it could scare the hell out of people. I mean, who would even want a slab of metal slamming down on them?"
As he said this, he pressed a switch on the hilt of the weapon. A soft Hum was heard as the weapon faintly glowed white for nothing but a second before it dissipated, as it did the weapon felt lighter to Jaune. He then lifted the weapon with ease but still had a hefty weight similar to his other weapons.
Angelica hums gently as she inspects the weapon with a careful touch, it's metal cool to the touch, the iron slab's design seemed to have metal pipes lined throughout the weapons with iron gears on both ends of the weapon. She then turns to look at Jaune and see him slowly put great sword down as he then held onto a pair of sleek black leather gloves.
"Whats the gloves for then?"
She says curious as to what it's for.
"I have a friend who has a unique semblance, I plan to ask for his help since he has the ability to create a sort of permanent dimensional storage space to add objects in like these weapons." He puts the gloves in his inner breast pocket "These gloves would act as a placeholder for the storage space, so I would just wear these and have my weapons out in a instant. Convenient and versatile, not to mention how covert they are, who expects a pair of glove to have a arsenal inside it."
Angelica nods in understanding, that is definitely gonna be useful for storing his weapons. She then pondered for a moment before she had an idea on what else he could possibly add to the gloves.
"Actually Jaune, I know someone who can also add another effect to the gloves"
Jaune raised an eyebrow before smirking
"Oh, really? A friend of yours, I take it? Or another one of your 'mysterious contacts'?"
Angelica was the one to roll her eyes in response
"No, not really. It's someone my Brother knows"
Jaune's face then grimaced as the term 'brother' was not a good thing for him.
"Oh..? If that's the case then I'm not interested, whoever is in contact with that blue freak is for sure not alright in the hea-"
Before he could finish the sentence, Jaune was smacked upright in the back of his head by Angelica prompting him to groan in pain and rubbing the back of his head in response.
"Hey! Stop acting so petty towards my brother. Jeez, you can be so immature Jaune."
She exclaimed in slight annoyance, him and her brother always squabble for such petty things. It was amusing at first but not it tends to get annoying at this point.
"Ow... As if your not as childish as me Angeli-" Another smack to the head.
"OKAY! Okay, I give I give, what can the guy even add?"
Jaune asked while soothing the now forming bulge on top his head
“See? Was that so hard?”
Jaune muttering under his breath though a faint smile betrayed his amusement.
"And well, since you asked. They are quite talented in dust chemistry and one of their inventions is something called 'muted dust'."
Jaune interest piqued and turned to looked at her with interest in his eyes
"Muted dust?"
Angelica nods as she went on to explain what it does.
"Yeah, I know how much you like your oh so 'mysterious' persona. So apparently, when using the dust it then absorbs sound waves so you can effectively silence the area around you. It could be helpful for you"
Jaune thought about it for a moment, as much as he hates her brother he can't really fault the usefulness of that dust. Even if it's from a potential crackhead.
"Fine, I'll give it a shot"
Admitted Jaune as he stood up, he stretches his arms since it's extremely sore after hours of works.
"I'll go ahead, I need to meet up with Olivier anyways. Remember that contract he had 2 days ago?"
Angelica nods as she remembered the call he had with his friend.
"Yeah I remember, what of it?"
Jaune then sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well, he cashed in a favor from me. He needs my help right now. Sorry, I know you said you don't want me to take contracts anymore but this will be the last one. Plus, Olivier said there's a chance we can finally move in a Kingdom after I am done."
Angelica furrowed her eyebrows as she stared at Jaune in which he averted his gaze and was sweating a bit.
But after what felt like hours (For Jaune), Angelica finally relents and sighed before looking at him with a sad smile on her face.
"Okay, I trust you Jaune..." Before Jaune could open his mouth, Angelica shushed him by putting a finger over his mouth, "Only if you promise me you will come back safe. You always overdo everything so I want you to promise me that you wont drive yourself to the extreme..."
Jaune felt a pang of pain in his chest when he heard her words. She truly did care didn't she?
Then with a determined gaze, she held out her right pinky as she nudged him.
"Now promise me Jaune!"
Her gaze softened though her determination was still there.
Jaune stared at her raised pinky, his brows furrowed before he sighed reluctantly.
"You know I hate making promises that's hard for me to keep..."
"..."
As he said those words, Angelica paused before her eyes began tearing up. Jaune then panicked and had to accept the gesture before she could cry.
"Alright! Fine, I promise."
With both pinkies interlocked, Angelica smiled as she sticks her tongue out to which Jaune smiled, amused in return.
Jaune picks up his blazer and puts it on before heading out, but before he could open a door Angelica grabs his arm.
"Hey, before you go, remember that delicious pajeon we ate back there? Buy some for me when you come back" Angelica asked Jaune as she remembered the delicious dish back when Jaune took her to that diner a week ago.
Jaune then looked back at her as he was enamored by that beautiful smile of her's before smirking and turns to leave the door.
“First you force me into making a promise and now your demanding more out of me? How cruel of you my snow angel."
He sarcastically replied as Angelica in turn just pouts.
He rolled his eyes but his tone then shifted, more earnest.
"Anything for you... Angelica"
...
"ANGELICA!"
Blood red notes fill the sky...
Corpses floated in the air all attached by a string of blood...
The sound of a piano faintly getting louder and louder...
"NO! No... No-nono please... PLEASE!"
He cradles the body of his once beloved angel...
Her body long been desecrated by the monstrosity in front of him...
It's performance never-ending...
"Please stay awake! ANGELICA, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!"
Piano notes fill the somber air...
Jaune's roar cutting through the air...
Raindrops flooding the field of debris and carnage...
And in his darkest moment, his greatest agony formed that night as everything else didn't matter to him...
Blood, blood must be spilled. Someone,something-ANYTHING MUST PAY FOR THIS TRAGEDY!
Then all of a sudden...
T̶͍̝͕̓̌̌̇́ͅh̷̦̘̹̋̒͘e̸̤͉͛̽r̸͎͉͙̙̪͗̏͗͘ȩ̸̖̖̔ ̴͕̼͊̅̌̈́w̵̡̼̺̃̾̆̃̕a̵̰͙͓̬͊͗̾š̷͇͖̒̅̔ ̵̡̪̮̩̣̒͂͂̇͋ṋ̷̛̲͖̑̓̆o̵͓̼̟͎̕͝ţ̵͖̗͓̌̏͜h̴̞̰͘i̷̟͌́͊̄ń̴̛͎̗̥̗̆͋ͅg̷̱̏̔ ̷̳̄̈́͌͌b̶̫̥̙͉̅̌͒u̴̫͂͌t̴͕̂̒̓ ̶̧͚̲̹̳͐ś̵̱͔̀̿i̷̻̓̎̚l̵̺̗̠̣̅̊͘ề̵̡̢͉͗̈́n̶̬̠͚͓͍̈́̈́͘c̸̰̉̅̕͝ë̸̹̘͉̑ͅ.̷̖̲̫̣̞̑.̶͇̱̫̣̌̍̅͜͝.̶̫̠̺͎̺̚
As Jaune inhales the bloody air, he pulls out a pitch black mask, void of any light...
He unsheathes a black long sword as it caught the dim light, gleaming ominously as he grips the handle of his first ever trusted companion...
His step's slow as he faces the thing that took his angel away...
The surroundings muted, devoid of any sound with the only source of noise being his very own foot steps...
He dons the black mask as he exhales his cold lifeless breath and mutters out a single phrase...
"That's that, and this is this.."
PRESENT DAY
The day has finally arrived for Beacon Academy initiation, many soon to be students flood the front courtyard of the institution, excited at the prospect of passing and finally becoming the Huntsmen or Huntress they all dreamed of. But not all is well, as people are walking around all of a sudden...
BOOM
A explosion is soon heard, the cause of it being two girls. One in red and the other in white.
The white prim girl covered in soot yelps in distress as the girl in the red and black cloak gets up with her hands.
"I'am really, really sorry!"
The girl in red quickly apologized whilst she dusted the other girl's clothes.
"Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?" She yelled at the poor girl as the well primped girl pointed at her.
"Well, I-I..."
The young reaper couldn't refute nor even form a coherent sentence as she could only hem and haw.
"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know? We're here to fight monsters, so-watch where you're going!"
Before the girl could even yell back in indignation, another person came to them to see the commotion that's happening. He looks to be a blonde boy wearing a black suit, he had his hands in his pockets as his posture seemed so casual and relaxed. As he took a step forward next to the girl in red he then put a hand on her shoulder as to calm her down.
"Excuse me, but i believe she is quite sorry for what she had done. Plus, aren't you equally as guilty for shaking that vial really close to her face? Dust can be pretty irritating so that would cause her to sneeze uncontrollably."
As he defended the young reaper, the ice princess on the other hand was stunned for a moment, she quickly regained her composure though as she realized that he is right. Though she may still feel irritated, she is woman enough to admit her mistakes.
"I see, alright then. For that I apologize, just, try not to be so clumsy next time. Understood?"
She apologized but had a bit of a authoritative tone at the end.
"Yes ma'am!"
Ruby stood straight as she and the blonde person watched the prim princess turned quickly and left without a word.
"well then, guess that's that huh little red?"
The mentioned girl sighed as she looked up to her savior from that disaster.
"Yeah... Um, thanks by the way. I appreciate you defending me there."
She thanked the blonde as he and she started walking aimlessly around the campus not realizing that they have somewhere they need to be.
"I'm Ruby"
Said Ruby as she offer him her hand.
"And I am Jaune"
He greeted back with a faint smile and shook her hand.
The two walked off together and found themselves alone in a different part of Beacon's enormous and maze-like courtyard.
"So..." she started "Any reason in particular in why you helped me?"
Jaune looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
"You want the answer you wanna hear or the answer I would give?"
Ruby confused by what he means just shrugged.
"Both, why not"
"Well, for you? It was honestly just a accident, it's unfair of her to keep berating you like that even though it was clearly not intentional on your part."
He shrugged as he then had a faint smile.
"As for my reasoning? Well I just felt bad and helped you out of pity, could've let it continue though since it was honestly kind of hilarious."
As he says this Ruby then deadpans and looks at him clearly unamused... Though that did not stop the faint smirk playing on her lips.
"Really? Pity? Your quite mean you know that!"
she exclaimed though not serious as she was smiling at that point.
Jaune then snickers at her which was then joined in by Ruby before they both laughed for a bit at that point on.
With their laughter dying down they both continued walking in a peaceful silence before Ruby interrupted it by changing topics.
"So, I've got this thing," and pulled out a scythe that hit and cracked the cement ground.
Jaune whistled, impressed by the size and sheer ingenuity of it "A scythe huh? And combined with a high impact sniper rifle. Nice."
Jaune complimented with a hint of awe just at the fact that this little girl could even wield such a hefty thing.
"Thank you! I actually made it myself, call her 'Crescent Rose', my magnum opus. So what have you got?"
At that question Jaune shrugs and drew his only weapon from his left hip, a straight-bladed, double edged sword with a blue hilt.
"I got this sword, it ain't special like your's but it will do."
As he flourishes the iron sword, Ruby looks at it incredulously not believing that someone will actually use something that simple.
"Seriously?! Just a single sword? I mean, I appreciate the classics but couldn't you at least get- oh i don't know, a gun to pair with it or a shield?"
She flails her arms around as she said this. Jaune on the other hand couldn't care less and just shrugged.
"Well, I just bought this on my way to Beacon, and besides, I don't use guns."
Ruby could only look at him in disbelief wondering how he would even become a huntsman with just a sword. Jaune, sensing her looking at him like he grown a another head quickly decided to change topics.
"Hm. By the way, you got any idea to where we going?"
He began as he stared at Ruby which in turn made her realize something.
"Oh. Uh, I don't know. I was following you..."
They both paused and stopped as they realized they may be a bit lost.
Looking around, Jaune sighed before asking,
"You don't think there's a directory or even a food court around here? I could kill for a sandwich right now..."
Ruby stifled another laugh
"Is that a 'no?'"
"That's a 'no'."
...
...
Within Beacon's auditorium. New student's are milling about everywhere waiting for the headmaster to make his opening statement.
Eventually, Ruby and Jaune made their way to the auditorium. As they both look around, another blonde called out to them.
"Ruby!" called out the blonde girl, waving. "Over here!"
"Hey," said Ruby, as she turned to Jaune, "That's my sister. Sorry but i got to go, I'll see you later."
As she said this she waves good bye to Jaune as she dashed towards where her sister was.
"Welp, guess I'm on my own for now." As he looks towards the two sisters, he see's the two talking to each other animatedly.
Moving on from the two he looks around to see the other students interacting with each other, though one person seemed to caught his interest. A red headed girl in bronze armor sitting alone fidgeting about as she takes short glances around her, with nothing else to do (And no other useful info to keep note of,) he heads towards her.
"Hey there," He greets her with a wave. "You good? You seem really anxious."
Announcing his presence, Jaune puts on a welcoming smile as he says his hello. The redhead turns to him caught off guard before composing herself quickly.
"Oh, Uhh-hello there!" She greeted a bit awkwardly, "You noticed?"
She asked him as he sits next to her.
"Well, it's not hard to notice your restless leg constantly moving like a jackrabbit."
At the mention of her leg, she notices it and stops moving it with a flustered face.
"But asides that, names Jaune." He greets himself to her with a casual wave. "What's your name?"
Hearing his question, she looked surprised for a moment before narrowing her eyes a bit.
"You... Don't know who I am?"
She asked with a hint of suspicion.
"Um, Am I suppose to?"
Jaune looked genuinely confused as he raised an eyebrow.
"Well, this might sound like I'm bragging but I am fairly popular..."
She said a bit bashfully.
"To be honest, not a lick of a clue on who you are. Are you a celebrity or something?"
He shrugged as she looked at him with genuine surprise and a hint of... Hope?
"Really? Well, I am from Mistral, I'm actually a champion from there."
With that info Jaune seemed intrigued.
"Seriously? Wow, you must be really skilled huh? I guess you will easily earn your spot here no?"
He said casually, The mistralian champion looked at Jaune flustered as he just shrugged off her status.
"Uh, I guess so? Although, I do hope the upcoming initiation does pose a challenge for me."
Jaune could agree to that sentiment, he may have come here for a different purpose in mind but that didn't mean he couldn't find a challenge along the way.
"Well I hope so too, would be a shame if I pass the initiation with ease. Anyways, I never actually got you name..."
Asking that, she realized how rude it must have been to have never even answered question earlier.
"Oh! Right sorry. My name's Pyrrha, It's nice to meet you Jaune."
She beamed with a smile that Jaune matched with his own.
"Likewise, it's nice to meet you Pyrrha."
With their introductions to each other concluded, they both began talking to each other busying themselves as time passed on. Eventually that came to a end as the light's turned off as all focus of attention turned towards the stage.
Distortions from the speakers prevented any further chatter between the two as out came Professor Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy, cleared his throat before beginning his speech.
"I'll keep this brief."
He sounded bored.
"You all have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft, and acquire new skills. And when you will have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people."
He paused as he looked towards all the students in front of him before his gaze shifted.
"But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy in need of purpose, direction."
Pyrrha noticed the general mood shift as everyone didn't seem to take that comment lightly. Though she could see Ozpin's sentiment, everyone else probably didn't. He glanced towards her seatmate and see Jaune staring blankly at the headmaster, she couldn't tell but she swore she saw his ocean blue eyes darken into something she could only describe as chilling, thought it lasted for a second.
"You all assume knowledge will free you of this, but you time in this campus will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far."
He then looks forward and steeled his gaze towards the student audience.
"It is up to you to take the first step."
With that the headmaster stepped away from the microphone. His speech turned out to be a lot shorter than expected, and a lot more controversial.
Pyrrha heard Jaune sigh as he ran his hair through his head.
"You okay? You seemed troubled during that."
She asked him as Jaune looked at her before giving a weary smile.
"Nah it's nothing bad, just been reminded of something..."
Pyrrha not one to pry someone's past to which she just met left it at that, she nodded as she looked back to the stage and see another Professor walk up the stage as she instructed everyone on what to do.
But while all this was happening, Jaune was deep in thought as he had a momentary flashback to a past he would much rather not remember, at least... Not now.
'So that's Ozpin... I guess that's a check off the list."
He focused his gazed to exit that Ozpin came and went...
Memories came back to him as he remembers that night...
His face slowly morphed to one of anger as black smoke was subtly escaping his body...
That damn night where everything went to shit...
His hand unconsciously went towards the inner pocket of his blazer as he touched a familiar set of gloves...
He swore on that moment, that he shall make the world suffer like he has, to make them all feel the PAIN he feels...
He took a step forward, as if walking towards his prey...
But as he does so someone tapped his shoulder, reverting him back to reality. The smoke leaving like it was never there in the first place. His face morphing back the persona he so carefully crafted. And his hands leaving the gloves alone...
He turns his head and see Pyrrha with a look of concern towards him.
"You okay?"
He did not answer.
"..."
Jaune stared for a bit before shaking his head as he fixed himself. He let his anger seep through his ego, he has gotten sloppy.
"Ah, I am fine Pyrrha, I just thought I saw someone selling sandwiches and figured I could grab a bite."
He smiled like he was embarrassed while Pyrrha raised her brow at him before smiling amused at his action.
"You must be hungry huh? Well we could have dinner before we go to sleep if that's what you want. Though I am not sure if they sell sandwiches in the cafeteria."
Pyrrha offered him to go eat with her, so with a shrug he accepted her offer.
"Sure, wouldn't hurt to try and find some. Though is it your treat?"
He asked hoping he could get some free eats.
"NoPe," she said popping the p, "Just offering someone to eat with you, I don't think I owe you anything yet."
She smirks as she says this. Jaune groaned disappointed but not before noticing something she said.
"You said 'yet' though, hoping you would owe me something ey?"
He's the one that smirks this time as Pyrrha's face grew a hint of red.
"O-oh, I guess I did say that huh..."
Before Jaune could tease her more, she did a fast 180 turn before walking off.
"Well It was good talking to you Jaune! See you at the cafeteria-bye!"
She left in a hurry, Jaune couldn't even say a word back as she has already left. With a sigh he looked around and already see's majority of the student's missing, either going to the cafeteria for dinner as well or just walking around the campus.
He walks towards where Pyrrha left and finds himself in a hallway with just him alone. He looked to his right and see a window overlooking the whole city of Vale with the shattered moon glowing brightly above.
He stops for a moment as his hand reaches inside his inner pocket once again, bringing out the same sleek, black leather gloves he held not so long ago...
A glove once made as a gift for a now dearly departed...
What was once an object of what could've been, was now nothing but a reminder of her.
He sigh's as he put's the gloves back in his pocket as he lingered for a little while before he walked away from the window.
He had no time drowning himself in his sorrows once more. He had no time reminding himself of what he has lost.
And he had no time letting his hatred and rage cut loose again...
So he pushes forward, he needs to pull this off. He can't afford to be caught like that again.
He sighs for what felt like the umpteenth time, muttering the phrase that stuck with with for as long as he first met her.
The one phrase that will always pull him through his darkest days, and will always be the one sentence to push him through his sorrows as it has many times before.
"That's that, and this is this.."
Pyrrha waited for Jaune to arrive, she looks around and see no sign of him.
She sighed as she slumps her head down the table.
Why did she run away like that?! Now he thinks he had done something wrong when it was just playful teasing!
God's she was stupid sometimes...
She looked back up with her head when she saw Jaune coming out of a door as he looked around before spotting her.
He waved at her as she waved back albeit a bit more enthusiastic than she intended.
He walks towards her as Pyrrha stood up to greet Jaune.
"Sup, sorry to keep ya waiting. Kinda got lost on my way here."
He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly in embarrassment.
Pyrrha looked amused as she smiled in a somewhat of a apologetic way.
"Ah, my fault Jaune. I shouldn't have left abruptly back there. You know what, just for that. Dinner's on me, don't worry."
Jaune beamed a smile towards her.
"For real? Well who am I to decline free food. Thanks Pyrrha, I owe you now."
Grateful for the offer, Jaune happily accepted it.
"Well, shall we go look for something to eat?"
Pyrrha gestured for them to moves to which Jaune nods.
"Yeah, let's"
While the two went towards where food is being served, in another part of the cafeteria were two sisters. Ruby and the blonde girl, Yang.
"So Ruby, accept my apology yet?"
She nudged her little sister who in turn glared at her defiantly.
"No!"
Yang rolls her eye
"Oh come on Ruby, I literally bought you a plate of cookies. Plus, look on the bright side. You said you met someone that helped you right? That means you made a friend without me."
She ended with a smirk that shows how proud she is... Of herself.
"Still! You ditched me and I had to deal with some crabby ice princess. God she sucked..."
Ruby folded her arms as she pouted
"Aww, well don't chu worry sis, next time she comes by again and messed with you. She will have to get through me first."
She flexes he right arm as she said this and winker at her sis.
Ruby looks at her sis blankly before sighing.
"Yeah... I guess I could always count on yo-EEP!"
Before she could finish her sentence, Yang grabbed her little sister and puller her in for a hug she did not consent to.
"Ah, knew you still love me sis~"
She teased her as Ruby was trying to escape her iron grip.
"YANG LET ME GO!"
"Never!"
As one was pleading to be released while the other laughed, the two were too busy with each other that they didn't notice someone else besides them.
The two stopped they're mock fight as they both looked towards the newly arrived guest and saw it was non other than Jaune.
"Sup, you both are making quite the scene right now."
The two looked around the cafeteria and see everyone in the room staring at them.
The two quickly went back to their seat with Ruby's face flushed in embarrassment while Yang's looked a little apologetic.
The cafeteria averted their gaze as the mood shifted back to normality.
"Eh-hehe, sorry about that Jaune."
Ruby apologized sheepishly.
"It's no problem, just try not to cause too much of a ruckus in such a public place like that."
Jaune replied as his eyes lingered to the the blonde sister to which she noticed.
"Sup, see something you like?~"
Her tone laced with enthusiasm.
Jaune raised a brow nonchalantly at Yang's attempt to flirt with him when she so obviously showed her cleveage.
"Yang! Stop doing such filthy acts. That's my friend you flirting with!"
Ruby, obviously peeved and just a tad bit jealous yelled at Yang for her to stop.
Yang stopped, but she also noticed that her actions did not bother the man at all. That's a bit of a blow to her pride, after all, she's one to easily make people's heads turn. So to have a person not even have the slightest blush kinda made her a bit annoyed.
"Ah well, I wasn't looking anyways."
Jaune admitted sheepishly.
"So, your Ruby's sister, Yang right?"
Jaune asked his fellow blonde in which she replied,
"Yup, I am this little goofball's badass sister."
"Hey!"
She proudly introduced herself.
"I take it your Jaune, the guy who saved little Rube's here?"
She questioned the man as he nodded in response.
"Yup, saw her getting assaulted by the words of a snobby princess and thought that I should help her out. Your sister of course, not the princess."
Yang's gaze then becomes steady as eyed him up and down. He honestly was a pretty handsome lad now that he's up close, she noticed him back at the auditorium a while ago when he was with Ruby and honestly thought he was a employee of sorts that works here since he looked like a regular office worker, (Who wears a suit when training to becoming a huntsman anyways?) but that thought obviously was wrong cause damn did he look like he could pose for a front cover of a magazine.
She stopped her train of thought, why the hell did she outright call this man hot? She's outgoing and flirtatious sure, but most of the time she is just playing around and is actually not serious about it. This is the first time ever since she ever saw a man and automatically gunned for it and honestly... She's not as bothered as she thought she would be.
Shaking her head to clear those thought away, she cleared her throat as she beamed at him with a smile.
"Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for sticking up for my sister then. I wasn't there for her (Cause you ditched me!) at the time, so I appreciate you saving a damsel in distress from that evil ice princess."
As Yang was thanking Jaune, Ruby was absolutely blushing red in the face, as red as the rose petals she leaves behind.
Why did Jaune have to meet up with her sister in the worst time!
"Yaaaang~!" She whined, "Please stop teasing me in front of Jaune."
Both blonde's looks at her, Yang smirks while Jaune had a amused smile on his face.
"Aww, is little Ruby worried I'll make you look bad in front of you knight in a black suit~?"
The remarks just kept on coming as Ruby's face became redder than a tomato with steam shooting out of her ears at this point.
"Fine, fine I'll get off ya back Rubes."
'Finally' Ruby thought before pouting and looked away as she humphs.
Yang rolled her eyes at Ruby's antics again whilst Jaune snickered to himself.
"Well, it was fun staying with you two but i gotta go. Pyrrha is waiting for me and my order should be ready at this time."
He walked away with his hands in his pocket but not before saying goodbye to the two sisters.
"See ya, I'll see you two tomorrow during initiation."
The two girls wave goodbye as Jaune promptly walks away...
Today was interesting to say the least. He really didn't have the energy to converse much, (Especially not after seeing Ozpin) but he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy his time with those three girls (maybe except the white snow princess).
All in all, it's been tiring for him, so with his ordered sandwiches in hand which he luckily found, he heads towards where Pyrrha sat who was waving at him to come sit with him.
With the day coming at a close, he sat down and enjoyed his free meal in courtesy of Pyrrha. As the two converse with whatever topic that comes to mind, Jaune's thought's couldn't help but think of what more there is for him to deal with...
'Tomorrow will be a interesting day.'

Acerrima proximorum odia
(The hatred of those most nearly connected is the bitterest of all)
