Jimin has been meaning to go live on Weverse for a while.
His fans always seemed to enjoy it when he did casual things– talking about random thoughts, rambling about whatever was on his mind, or quietly building something small while chatting with them. It was comforting for both him and ARMY, like spending a cozy evening together.
This time, he had a new Lego set spread out on the coffee table, ready to make it a laid-back stream. He had put on some music, the soft hum of R&B playing in the background, setting the perfect ambiance for a quiet night.
Carefully adjusting the camera, he made sure the frame captured him well, keeping most of his apartment out of view. He sat facing the living room and kitchen, an intentionally cozy setup– casual, so not many distractions were in the shot behind him, just a chair and curtains.
Once everything was set and ready, he clicked Start live.
Sitting down on the floor in front of the coffee table, he leaned back slightly, eyes twinkling as the chat started to flood with messages and purple hearts. The numbers rose rapidly, ARMY filling in excitedly.
"Hi, ARMY~!" He waved at the camera, a soft smile settling on his face.
'JIMIN HELLOOO'
'We missed you!!! 💜💜💜'
'Omg yess another lego stream 🥺'
He took a sip of his chamomile tea– Minjee had converted him, who drinks it regularly, and now he couldn't sleep without it– before getting more comfortable.
"I missed you guys," he admitted, scanning the comments. "So I finally came. I hope you all are staying warm and healthy."
'We were WAITING'
'He's so handsome I can't'
'What's today's project?'
Jimin grinned, setting down his cup.
"We're building Legos today! Just a small set– nothing too crazy," he glanced down at the pieces scattered in front of him, before showing the box to the camera. "I hope I don't mess it up."
He opened the instruction booklet, flipping through the first few pages.
"I used to be really good at these," he mused, a hand running through his hair absentmindedly, before he started sorting through the bricks. "But I feel like I've lost my touch. ARMY, if I make mistakes, just pretend you don't see them, okay?"
'Anything for you!'
'Of course~'
'NO WE WILL CLOWN YOU 🤡'
'We're gonna bully you respectfully 😌'
Jimin gasped, placing a hand over his heart in mock offense. "Yah! Where is the trust?" He let out a breathy laugh.
Focussing on the instructions again, he began building the lego set. Taking breaks from time to time to check the chat to talk with ARMY.
The pretty man hummed softly as he pressed another piece into place, his fingers moving with practiced ease as he followed the steps laid out in the instruction booklet.
So far, he was doing well.
He glanced at the chat, a satisfied smirk tugging at his lips.
"See? No mistakes yet," he mused, holding up the half-finished build for a better look. "I think I'm getting good at this again."
'We'll see how long that lasts'
'you're doing so well! 💜'
'Oh? Confidence?'
'Jiminie, the moment you say that, you jinx it'
Jimin let out a soft laugh, shaking his head, his bangs falling into his face. "Yah, you guys have no faith in me. I've been focused!"
He reached for another piece, carefully aligning it before snapping it into place. The soft clink of Lego bricks filled the cozy apartment, blending into the gentle hum of the music playing in the background.
His space was warm and inviting, the golden light from the lamps casting a soft glow over his surroundings. The mug of chamomile tea sat within arm's reach, wisps of steam curling up into the air. Jimin took a brief pause to sip from it, letting the warmth settle in his chest before he set it back down.
His voice was light as he spoke again, effortlessly slipping into conversation with ARMY.
"So, what should I build next time? Should I go for something bigger?" He tapped a finger against his chin in thought. "Or should I do one of those expert level sets? You know, something dramatic."
'Bigger?? Honey, finish this one first'
'You struggled with a beginner set last time, sir 😭'
'it would definitely be fun to watch!'
Jimin scoffed, but his grin didn't fade. "You guys don't trust me at all," he whined, drawing out the last word with a pout.
He watched the chat coo over him, tease him, sending more hearts his way. He let out another soft chuckle before glancing back at the instructions, flipping the page with careful fingers.
"I'm proving you all wrong tonight," he declared, pressing another piece into place. "Watch, I'll finish this without–"
His words cut off.
Mid-sentence.
Mid-action.
He froze.
Hands hovering over the Lego set, completely still.
His eyes flickered up, locked onto something outside the frame.
The chat immediately noticed.
'Wait... hello?'
'Did the stream just froze?'
'Why did he just STOP?'
But Jimin wasn't saying anything.
Because at that exact moment, the front door opened.
And Minjee stepped inside.
The cool night air followed her in, a soft breeze ruffling her dark hair as she unwrapped the scarf from around her neck. She looked effortlessly beautiful– she always did, to him at least.
Even in her casual, fluffy coat and the soft, oversized sweater peeking out from underneath, she took his breath away.
'Oh. Something just happened'
'HELLO??'
'Wait is someone there?'
'He has not moved an inch lmao'
Closing the door behind her, Minjee glanced toward the living room as she shrugged off her coat. Her hazel eyes met his, and in that brief second, she gave him the smallest, softest smile. Her dimples dented into her cheeks.
Jimin?
Jimin was gone.
He returned the smile unconsciously, yet his fingers, still poised to grab another Lego piece, remained motionless.
Minjee's gaze flickered to his phone, her lips twitching in quiet amusement when she realized he was live. Without saying a word, she lifted her hand for a small wave in greeting.
Then she turned toward the kitchen, walking through the space to make herself some tea.
Jimin's eyes followed her the entire way.
'SIR??? SIR?!'
'Oh he is WHIPPED whipped'
'You have not blinked this entire time'
'chat, we just witnessed this man leave his own stream'
Still silent, Jimin's gaze lingered in the direction she had disappeared to, watching the soft glow of the kitchen lights spill into the living room.
It wasn't until he heard the gentle sound of the kettle clicking off that he snapped out of it.
Clearing his throat, he quickly looked down at his Lego set, as if that would somehow erase the past minute of absolute derailment.
'HE'S ALIVE'
'OH HE'S ACTING NOW'
'Jimin, we saw that lmao'
Ignoring the teasing chat, Jimin exhaled through his nose, willing himself to focus again. His fingers found the next piece, pressing it into place with slightly more force than necessary.
He was not flustered.
Not at all.
And he definitely wasn't sneaking quick glances towards the kitchen, waiting for her to return–
Jimin simply sipped his tea, feigning perfect innocence as he turned his attention back to the Lego set.
Nothing happened.
Nothing at all.
He kept his focus on the set, carefully aligning each piece as he tried to act normal– as if he hadn't just completely short-circuited the moment his soulmate walked through the door. The elegant man had just started getting back into his rhythm when the familiar sound of soft footsteps returned to the living room.
His princess was back.
The couch dipped slightly as she settled into her usual spot, her warm cup of tea cradled between her hands. She pulled a plush blanket over her legs, her fingers wrapping around the mug as she idly scrolled through her phone.
She wasn't doing anything.
She wasn't saying anything.
And yet Jimin was distracted all over again.
His fingers, which had been moving effortlessly before, slowed.
His eyes flickered to her– just for a second.
Then another second.
And another.
Minjee, completely unaware, took a small sip of her tea, brows furrowing slightly at whatever she was reading.
Jimin's gaze softened.
Even the most simple, unguarded moments, she was effortlessly beautiful. The soft glow of the living room lights cast a gentle halo around her, the faint steam from her tea curling in the air. Her sweater– his sweater, actually– was oversized on her frame, the sleeves tugged over her hands for warmth.
It was unfair.
How was he supposed to focus on Legos when his soulmate was right there, existing like that?
'I bet it's Minjee'
'OH IT'S HER FOR SURE'
'Jimin, your lego is RIGHT THERE. WHY ARE YOU STARING'
'bro you're so obvious lolol'
Jimin blinked, only now realizing he had stopped moving again. He let out a slow breath, shaking his head slightly– as if that would help, fighting the growing smile threatening to form.
Of course they knew.
Giving up, he finally put down the Lego piece he had been pretending to focus on and turned toward his soulmate fully.
"Minjee~" he called softly, fondness dripping from his voice.
She lifted her gaze from her phone, blinking.
"Hm?"
Jimin tilted his head slightly, watching her.
She was still curled up comfortably, and looked so cozy. Her expression was open, though maybe a little sleepy from the warmth of the tea. He wanted nothing more than to cuddle up against her, wrapping her in his embrace, but he was still live. So he had to think of something else.
"Come build Legos with me," he murmured.
Minjee hesitated, her fingers tightening slightly around the cup.
"You're still live," she reminded him quietly, not moving from her spot.
Jimin grinned. Turning back to the camera, he raised a playful brow.
"ARMY, do you want Minjee to join me?"
The response was instant.
'YES. IMMEDIATELY'
'PLS WE NEED TO SEE HER LEGO SKILLS'
'Jimin has NOT finished a single step since she got here. HELP HIM 😭'
Jimin smirked, glad that ARMY was helping him out too. Turning back to her, he wiggled his brows.
"They want you here too," he said brightly. "Help me save this set."
Minjee bit her lip, hesitated. She tucked herself further into the blanket, shifting slightly. "But it's your time with ARMY," she murmured. "I don't want to intrude."
Jimin's expression softened immediately.
"You're not intruding," he reassured, his voice gentler this time. "They like you."
The ballerina still seemed unsure, her fingers fidgeting slightly against the edge of her mug. He could tell.
So instead, he tilted his head slightly, pushing his bottom lip out before sending a thought through their connection.
'I like you,' he shared softly. 'I want you here with me.'
Her cheeks flushed instantly.
Jimin, pleased with himself, let out a small chuckle before reaching out toward her.
"Come here," he coaxed, tapping the empty space beside him.
Minjee sighed, exhaling slowly through her nose– half-resigned, half-amused.
Finally, she set her mug down, pushing the blanket aside before padding over to join him on the floor.
The smile on her soulmate's face grew wider, stretching in a victorious grin. The moment she settled beside him, Jimin's eyes crinkled with joy.
"Hi, ARMY," Minjee greeted softly, lifting a hand in a small, shy wave.
Jimin couldn't help himself. He tilted his head toward her, his eyes fond and warm. And before she could react he leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek as he wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her into him.
The ballerina gasped, immediately covered her face with her hands, a bright blush dusting over her face.
The chat lost their minds.
'She's hereeee'
'OMG HE'S SMOOTH SMOOTH'
'PLS SHE'S SO SHY 🥺'
'Hiii queen!'
'Ooooh JIMIN~'
Jimin laughed, the sound full of pure amusement.
"She's cute, isn't she?" He mused, nudging her lightly.
Minjee refused to uncover her face.
"Jimin," she whined into her palm, her ears bright pink.
He grinned, reaching for her wrist to gently pull her hands away, uncovering her pretty face.
The ballerina pouted, trying– and failing– to resist him, her cheeks still flushed pink from his sudden affection in front of his fans.
The man chuckled softly, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear as he murmured, "There she is."
From the corner of their eyes they saw the chat fly past.
Minjee sighed dramatically, but a soft smile tugging at her lips gave her away. "You're impossible," she muttered, refusing to look at him directly.
Jimin chuckled, completely unbothered. "And yet, here you are– helping me finish this masterpiece."
She finally glanced at the Lego set in front of them, eyeing the progress he had already made. "You've actually made good progress."
He gasped playfully, placing a hand over his heart. "You had any doubts?"
"Never," she teased back, scrunching her nose at him. That made them both giggle a bit, before he nudged her shoulder.
"You're here now, so we'll finish it together."
Minjee hummed in agreement, reaching for the booklet. She scanned it, eyes flickering over the next step. "Alright, pass me that one."
Jimin handed it over immediately, watching her with quiet admiration as she snapped it into place with ease. He rested his chin in his hand.
They got to work, the mood shifting into a comfortable rhythm of teamwork– well, kind off.
Minjee read out the instructions, her voice calm and focused, while Jimin handed her the pieces, occasionally teasing her just to make her roll her eyes, or simply stare at her.
'They're literally in sync. True soulmates.'
'Minjee = CEO of this build, Jimin = assistant who keeps flirting with the boss'
'They're so cute, it's making me sick lmao'
The ballerina snapped a piece into place effortlessly. "Okay, now we attach this part here–"
Jimin followed along, but halfway through, he paused, glancing up at her. "You're cute when you're in serious mode."
Minjee's hand faltered for a brief second, glancing at her soulmate in surprise. Turning to his phone, he continued.
"Seriously, you guys should see her when she's practicing, or when she's in the dance studio with her company, it's incredible."
'DID HE JUST FLIRT MID-BUILD?? 😭😭'
'JIMIN FOCUS ON THE SET CHALLENGE (IMPOSSIBLE)'
'Minjee.exe has stopped responding'
She let out a smile chuckle, eyes flickering to the booklet instead of him. "Stop distracting yourself and keep building."
Jimin grinned. "You're the one distracting me."
Minjee bit her lip, willing herself not to react– but the slight flush on her ears and cheeks gave her away.
The playful energy continued, their quiet laughter filling the apartment as they worked, all the while answering questions and chatting with ARMY. And then finally– after a lot of teasing, and teamwork– the last piece clicked into place.
The idol gasped, lifting up the completed build with both hands to show it off for ARMY.
"We did it!"
The chat erupted with celebration emojis.
'FINALLY OMG'
'Minjee really carried this build'
'He's so happy, look at him 🥺'
Minjee sat back, arms crossed, watching him fondly. "I have to admit, you didn't do too bad. It actually looks good."
Jimin flashed his crooked tooth, giving her a proud grin as he puffed out his chest dramatically. "Not bad for teamwork."
The ballerina scoffed. "Be honest– you wouldn't have finished it without me."
He paused. Then– grinning sheepishly– he scratched the back of his neck. "Okay... maybe."
Then he turned back to his phone. "Alright, ARMY, I think that's it for today."
'NOOO DON'T GO'
'Best stream ever, 10/10 would watch again'
'Thanks for the serotonin, you two! 💜💜'
Jimin smiled softly, his voice warm. "Thank you for hanging out with us. You guys always make my day."
Minjee, now feeling more comfortable, tucked her hair behind her ear and glanced at the camera. "Goodnight, ARMY. Thanks for letting me join."
The chat flooded with purple hearts.
The idol waved, getting closer to his phone. "Bye, ARMY! Sleep well!"
And just like that– the stream ended.
A beat of silence followed.
The ballerina let out a slow breath, stretching her arms above her head. "That was fun."
Jimin turned to her, soft fondness settling into his gaze. She barely had a second to process before he scooped her up, pulling her into his chest. She gasped, her laughter muffling against his sweater as her fingers instinctively pressed against his chest.
"Jimin–"
"Shh," he murmured, holding her tighter. "We finished the live. Now you're all mine."
Minjee sighed, but she didn't fight it. Instead, she let herself melt into his warmth, her hands curling into his hoodie, anchoring herself against him. Jimin hummed, completely content, his lips brushing against her hair for a moment before he pulled her fully into his embrace, onto his lap.
"You were cute today," he murmured.
The ballerina huffed softly. "You're always saying that."
"Because it's always true."
A pause.
Then– softer this time–
"I just really love having you here."
Minjee's heart fluttered, warmth blooming in her chest.
She smiled against his shoulder, pressing a soft kiss to the fabric of his hoodie.
"I love being here."
