*NEXT MORNING/STILL Tami's POV*
I was woken up to giggling coming from downstairs, I grabbed my glasses and put them on before getting out of bed. I quickly made the bed before heading downstairs and into the living room to find Mason playing with his favourite auntie who was also my best friend and roommate, Natalie.
"MUMMY" Mason shouted and ran over, I picked him up once he got close to me
"Did you have a nice sleep?" I asked then kissed his forehead
"Yep" Mason said and nodded his head, I smiled and let Mason down so he can go play with his toys, I looked at Natalie
"Had fun at your boyfriends house? You didn't come home last night" I said, Natalie blushed
"We watched movies and by the time it finished it was too late, Ethan suggested that I stay. Sorry" Natalie said
"It's fine, I'm glad you didn't walk home at night" I said
"Auntie Natalie?" Mason said
"Yes Mase?" Natalie asked
"Last night someone came to our house and mummy let them in" Mason said, this kid is way too smart for his age
"Oh really? Did you see who it was?" Natalie asked
"No, I stayed upstairs" Mason said
"Babe, he wanted to use the phone. His car broke and his phone had no battery" I said and sat down on the couch
"He probably lied mummy, he used it as an excuse to come in. He probably was going to steal stuff but then saw how pretty you are and decided against it" Mason said, I looked at Natalie then back at Mason
"Kids got a good imagination" Natalie said
"If he was going to steal stuff then why should we worry? I've got my little ninja with me" I said and tickled Mason
"MUMMY" Mason shouted, Natalie started to tickle Mason as well. We laughed along with Mason then decided to stop, Mason moved away from us and went back to his toys
"Meanies" Mason said and stuck his tongue out, Natalie stuck her tongue out at Mason while I laughed at them too
"Ok children, enough" I said, Natalie laughed and moved next to Mason
"Hey Mase, you want to watch GTA on Ethan's channel?" Natalie asked and pulled out her phone
"YES" Mason shouted, Natalie laughed and looked at her phone
"I swear you and Jenny are getting my son into gaming" I said, Jenny is my other best friend. She lives with her boyfriend but sometimes stays here with me, Mason and Natalie, she's basically got two houses
"Hey it's better than nothing" Natalie said
"Plus the Sidemen rock" Mason said, Natalie held her hand out for a high five which Mason gave
"Speaking of the Sidemen, when do I get to meet them? You're dating Ethan then there is Jenny who is dating Simon, I have no idea who they are but you guys plus Mason always talk about them and I feel left out" I said and pouted
"Mummy you watch their videos with me" Mason said
"But I don't know who is who, I know names but don't know how they look. I mean I could have run into one of them and not know it was them" I said
"Auntie Natalie, mummy is right because I want to meet the Sidemen as well" Mason said
"You guys will one day, they are all busy recording and editing videos for events coming up" Natalie said
"Promise?" Mason said and held out his pinky
"Promise" Natalie said and wrapped her pinky around Mason's, I smiled at them two before getting up and heading to the kitchen where I started to make breakfast
"VICTOR" I looked up from the cooker when I heard a familiar voice shout, I know Natalie and Mason were watching Sidemen but why does that voice sound familiar? (Quick A/N Josh as a joke calls Vik 'Victor' instead of Vikram. Thought I would clear that up in case you're confused) I ignored it and continued making breakfast. I heard someone walking into the kitchen
"Stranger huh?" Of course it's Natalie
"Yea" I said
"Was he cute?" Natalie asked
"Natalie you have a boyfriend" I said
"I'm talking about you" Natalie said
"Yea I guess" I said
"You guess?" Natalie asked
"Natalie, he was a stranger who I probably will never see again unless a miracle happens" I said and turned the cooker off
"Just thought you might have finally found someone, you haven't dated since 'him'" Natalie said, I froze on my spot
"Tami, you're my best friend and I would not be saying this if I didn't think it was important. Mason deserves a dad, you deserve to be happy. I know no one can replace Luke (COULDN'T THINK OF A BETTER NAME) and I know you've dated after his death but then stopped because of what happened but that was a year ago, don't you think it's time you started to date again? Me and Jenny are worried about you and just want you to be happy" Natalie said, I felt a tear roll down my face as I thought of Luke but also the guy after Luke
"I'll start to date when I'm ready or find the right people" I said
"Tami please just think about it" Natalie said before leaving, I sighed and let another tear roll down my face
"MUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYYYYY" Mason shouted while running into the kitchen, he attacked my legs and hugged them. I quickly wiped my tears away before picking him up
"What's up baby?" I asked
"Auntie Natalie said I might be able to meet Miniminter tomorrow when he drops auntie Jenny off" Mason said and squealed, I looked at him confused
"Miniminter?" I asked, Mason stopped squealing and looked at me with a 'are you being serious?' face
"Simon, auntie Jenny's boyfriend" Mason said
"Oh" I said when I realised who he was talking about
"You worry me mummy" Mason said and crosses his arms
"I worry myself, you're not alone on that" I said and kissed his forehead, Mason stared at me for a bit before speaking
"Mummy, were you crying?" Mason asked with a frown
"It's nothing baby, don't worry" I said and smiled
"But you was crying" Mason said
"I was thinking of daddy, I miss him baby" I said and stopped the tears that were threatening to fall
"Aww mummy, it's ok. Daddy's watching over us isn't he? That's what you've told me and I miss him too" Mason said, I sniffed and let a tear roll down my face
"Yes baby he's watching over us" I said, Mason looked at me before wiping my tear away. He kissed my cheek then hugged me
"I love you mummy" Mason mumbled against my shoulder
"I love you too baby" I said before letting Mason down so he could go play with his toys. I watched as Mason raced out of the kitchen and into the living room. I leaned against the cooker and looked down at my arm which had old cuts and scars, I traced the cuts with my other hand. It's been a while since I've cutted
"Don't you dare think about it" I looked up to see Natalie leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen
"I wasn't" I said
"Good because I don't want to come home one day and find my best friend dead or her son stood outside her room shouting 'mummy'. Not after last time, doctors almost lost you. I'm not going through that again" Natalie said and a tear rolled down her face, I looked down and let a tear roll down my face again. I don't know what to do anymore with my life, please God let something good happen...
