As I wake all I see is the light coming from under the door.
All I feel is confusion and someone holding my hand. As I look down I see him.
I see my nameless boy who isn't so nameless anymore.
As I see Erik sleeping on my hands I notice the clothes he's still wearing from before I fell asleep, so I know he hasn't left me.
Why hasn't he left me?"
I slowly move my hand that he's sleeping on out from under him and he shoots straight up.
"EMILY!! Your finally awake!"
"Erik, what do you mean?"
But before he answers he hits the nurses button and Fran comes in.
"Glad to see your finally awake, Emily. You gave your fiancé one hell of a week."
A week. I was out for a week that doesn't make sense, does it?
I guess Fran saw the confusion on my face as she started talking.
"Honey, you recieved bad news and your heart was weak, it went into over drive and couldn't handle the pressure anymore so you went into a little coma."
"Oh," was all I whispered.
"Your hubby's been here the whole time. He refused to leave. He even slept outside your door when he wasn't allowed to come in."
I finally look at Erik.
"You did that?" I whispered to him with shock clear in my voice.
"Of course I did."
He whispers back and kisses my forehead.
"Alright, I'm just gonna leave you too love birds alone now."
And Fran's gone but I barley noticed her leave.
"Erik why have you stayed? I get you being worried but we're not getting married. Heck we're not even dating. Was it just an act to fool the doctors ?"
" No. Emily, it's not like that at all."
"Then what is it suppose to be like because it all looks like an act to me."
What I heard next I wasn't prepared for at all.
It sent me into mixtures of different emotions mostly confusion.
" Emily, I love you with all my heart and that's never going to change."
I set there shocked still not knowing what to say to him.
It's not possible.
He can't love me.
It isn't right.
