Daou POV
Offroad was quiet in the car as they drove through the city. He had been quiet since he had walked out of Ram's bedroom. Daou didn't even have the heart to scold him for the stunt he had pulled, that's how defeated he looked. When Daou knocked on his door later in the day to tell him to get ready for them to head out to Ian's, all Daou got was a quiet okay as the boy disappeared into his closet.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Daou asked, finally having enough of the silence.
"Not really in the mood for a lecture," Offroad grumbled looking out the car window.
"What could I possibly lecture you about?" Daou laughed.
"I don't know but I feel like you would find something," Offroad said.
"How about maybe not being a brat at other people's expense?" Daou suggested.
"If I knew he was going to announce it I would have picked someone else," Daou could feel the eye roll.
"For what exactly?" Daou asked.
"Why did you leave in the middle of the night?" Offroad said, turning his body to face Daou.
"I believe I asked my question first," Daou laughed.
"My question trumps your question," Offroad said.
"That's not how it works,"
"That's exactly how it works,"
"God why are you such a brat?!" Daou growled, gripping the steering wheel. "You know what I'm done talking," Daou said, smacking the on button to the radio.
"Well I'm not," Offroad said, smacking it off.
"Fine, we will sit in silence then," Daou said, focusing on the road.
"Just admit you want me," Offroad said. "And I'll drop it,"
"Can't admit something that isn't true," Daou said, shrugging.
"So you're a liar then?" Offroad scoffed.
"And you're delusional if you think everyone wants you," Daou laughed.
"Well," Offroad started and Daou saw from the corner of his eye the boy move across the middle console. "I'm not asking everyone," Offroad whispered in his ear as Daou felt his hand push in between his legs. "I want you to admit it," Daou felt the boy's lips against his neck and instantly felt the goosebumps spread all over his body.
"If you're this clingy after one blow job, no wonder you don't actually sleep around," Daou growled. He knew it was harsh as the boy instantly backed off. But Daou couldn't do this no matter if he wanted the boy or not. He had a job to do. And that job expired in 6 months. What happened then? Was he supposed to watch as the omega married someone else? His mom was right, he was territorial, what was his was his and he couldn't share him with anyone.
"I hate you," Offroad grumbled and for some reason, those words had Daou and his alpha seeing red. Daou slammed on the brakes and sent the car sliding over the shoulder. Once the car was in park Daou turned to face the boy.
"The fuck did you just say?" Daou growled, grabbing the boy's jaw, to turn and face him.
"I hate you," Offroad growled back. "You were going to pity fuck me the other day but what learned the whole truth and I'm what used goods?"
"You have done nothing but throw a fit about fucking me since I agreed to take this position. You want to know what is stopping me from pulling out of this car and fucking you on the side of this road?" Daou asked. "It's because you are a fucking job, my job is to protect you and sorry I can't do that with my dick buried in you,"
"Then I'll hire 20 more guards!" Offroad said.
"And then in 6 months what? And I'm just supposed to watch you marry someone else? I'm just supposed to sit back and be this unspoken secret of yours? I want kids too you know I want to get married I want a normal fucking life," Daou yelled at the boy and Offroad just stared at him blankly. "So if that's why you hate me then go right the fuck ahead, it will save us both the trouble in the long run. Now sit there and be quiet while I drive you to your fucking date," Daou said letting go of the boy's face and throwing the car back in drive before speeding off.
There was a long stretch of silence. Daou had glanced over at the boy a few times who looked like he was holding an entire press conference in his head with how his face shifted between emotions. He heard the boy open his mouth a few times only to snap close. Eventually, the boy just sank into his seat arms across his chest and he sulked. Daou made the wrong choice of looking at the boy at that moment cause my god did Daou just want to pull back over and and drag the boy into his lap and give into every single one of his desires, needs, and wants. Daou had been on edge for days unable to find any relief whatsoever so he and his alpha were pent up over that sulky-looking fox who Daou knew with one word would drop to his knees.
"This isn't over," Offroad finally spoke.
"Whatever you say kiddo," Daou laughed as he pulled into the entrance of the road that was supposed to lead to this cabin and noticed. Daou suddenly felt a pain in his neck as Offroad bit the ever living sit out of him causing him to slam on the breaks. "Ow, what the fuck!" Daou roared.
"Call me kiddo again and watch what happens to the next place I bite," Offroad huffed.
"Are you fucking insane?!" Daou yelled, checking his neck for blood. "I could have crashed us!" Suddenly a pounding from the window had Daou jumping around in his seat. He saw a guard standing outside his window and proceeded to roll it down. "Can I help you?"
"Offroad and Dao, correct?" The guard asked.
"Daou," He growled.
"The river flooded this morning, so your vehicle won't make it over the pass. We will take him up," The guard said.
"What do you mean by him?" Daou asked, his eyes narrowing at the guard.
"Boss said you can come collect him around 10 pm," the alpha grumbled.
"Ha funny no," Daou fake laughed. "He goes up so do I. I leave he leaves," the guard sighed and pulled out a phone as he stepped away from the car. "I don't like this," Daou said to Offroad as he watched the guard on the phone.
"Well at least you can admit something," Offroad said, rolling his eyes.
"When we get back to the house I'm taking my belt to your ass," Daou warned.
"Take me back now," Offroad said and Daou could see the want in his eyes. "Please," Daou sat there stunned for a minute before he could rationalize what just happened as the guard was pounding on the window.
"Boss said that's fine. Park over there," the guard pointed to a pull-off area before walking away from the car.
"Come on, let's get you to your date," Daou said and watched the boy's face fall. Honestly, he had to hide his falling face, cause wanted nothing more than that boy bent over his knee at that moment.

Offroad POV
The ride up to Ian's cabin was awkward. Offroad knew something was up because there was no sign of flooding the closer and closer they had to the cabin. Offroad didn't want to believe Ian was going to be a jackass but here they were pulling up to the front of the cabin and not a drop of water anywhere in sight. Something was up but Offroad knew Ian wasn't smart enough to be the mastermind behind it.
"From here on out you listen to me without question," Offroad said into Daous' ear as he turned to pretend to look out the back of the window. Daous' eyes narrowed at him but the man didn't say anything. The car pulled to a stop and Ian stood out on the porch.
"I'm sorry this is a cabin?" Daou asked as they stepped out of the car.
"It is," Ian smiled.
"This is a mansion," Daou said.
"It's made of wood," Ian said looking back at the cabin.
"It's still a mansion," Daou scoffed.
"Are you ready?" Ian looked at Offroad the irritation clear on his face.
"Of course," Offroad said, straightening his jacket.
"Great," Ian said motioning for Offroad to walk into the cabin. "Oh you are not needed," Ian said, which had Offroad pausing and looking back at Daou who was attempting to follow him inside.
"Yeah that's not-"
"Why don't you patrol the perimeter or something," Offroad said, interrupting him. "Like at the back of the house, it's getting dark you never know who's lurking in these woods," Offroad laughed, waving him off hoping the man would get the hint.
"Fine," Daou growled, immediately turning and walking away.
"That should keep him busy for a bit," Offroad smiled at Ian as he walked into the cabin. "Oh wow this is different from the last time I was in here," Offroad said, taking in the renovations.
"Oh yes!" Ian beamed. "This has become where I spend most of my time so I figured a few upgrades were in store,"
"Oh, why aren't you in the city anymore?" Offroad asked.
"You know the politics of business never interested me," Ian laughed. Ian was tall and shy-looking. When they were younger Ian always had his nose shoved into a book, he had gone to college for fun. "I would much rather pay someone to deal with all of that,"
"Yeah, your nose was always in a book, still the same?" Offroad asked.
"When I have the time, yes" Ian smiled. "What about you, still wild and defiant?"
"Is that all you remember about me?" Offroad asked, leaning against the sofa.
"Look at me," Ian laughed motioning to himself, "I was the bookworm of our group growing up I had no place trying to insert myself between Deacon and Luke to get to know you any better,"
"Oh come on you gotta know something," Offroad teased.
"Animals, you liked animals of all kinds," Ian said after a moment of thinking. "You used to make me read books about animals so you could ask me questions,"
"Ding ding," Offroad said. "See I knew you could do it." Offroad smiled at the man who blushed hard. "So what's for dinner?"
"Oh," Ian said as if finally remembering something. "Please follow me Chef should be finishing up the first course," Ian motioned to the dining room.
"First course? Getting all fancy?" Offroad teased again as he made his way to the dining room.
"Yes! My chef specializes in course menus," Ian informed him. Offroad took a seat at one of the spots set for dinner as Ian took his seat across from him.
The chef brought out the first course which appears to be something with fish. That was followed by a salad. The food was delicious and the sauces and dressing were to die for. Offroad was going to have to get his hands on this chef. The chef presented them with their main dish and it was steak and vegetables. Offroad watched Ian get more and more fidgety. The man was trying to plan something and couldn't map it out in his head. Offroad cut into his steak and it looked like a light ball went off in his head.
"You know what would go great with this!?" Ian exclaimed as he stood up quickly from his chair and took off into the swinging door that led into the kitchen for a couple of minutes before reappearing. Ian walked over with a wine bottle in hand showing Offroad the label and the seal. "A French Malbec," Ian smiled at him.
"I have no idea what that means but sure!" Offroad said back.
"Do you not drink?" Ian asked, confused.
"Not really and if I do when I'm out it's whatever is top shelf," Offroad explained as he watched Ian go over to a small table with the bottle.
"Oh, well then let me teach you," Ian said as Offroad watched him open the bottle and take down two glasses. Offroad watched as the man paused before pouring into the wine. His back was to Offroad so he was unable to see him pour in the wine but it didn't take an idiot to figure out what was up.
"Teach me how to drink wine?" Offroad laughed as Ian turned around with 2 cups one in each hand but one was closer to his body than the other.
"Yes, there is an art to it," Ian said as he came around to hand Offroad a glass. Offroad reached for the one closest to his body but Ian pushed the other glass into his hand. Offroad stomach sank, Ian was in fact a jackass.
"First you are going to want to swirl it about to incorporate oxygen which helps open up the flavor, then you want to inhale the scent try to identify the smell, and then take a small sip in hold it in your mouth for 3-5 seconds," Ian said as he demonstrated the steps he just listed.
"What? Seriously? All that for wine?" Offroad asked. Ian nodded, taking another sip of his wine. "Okay whatever you say," Offroad laughed. "So first you swirl it," Offroad rocking the glass hard causing the wine inside to come spilling out. "Oh fuck," Offroad said as he covered himself in wine dropping the glass in shock and making it shatter all over the ground. Offroad watched as Ian's eyes went wide. "Shit! I'm so sorry," Offroad said, immediately getting up from his chair and bending down, reaching for the broken glass and slicing his thumb open. "Damnit!" Offroad hollered immediately, sticking his thumb in his mouth.
"It's okay," Ian said. "I had a maid for that," Ian said and Offroad realized how ridiculous that sounded now.
"Bathroom?" Offroad asked standing.
"Down the hall, second door to the right," Ian said, pointing in the direction of the bathroom and pulling at his phone.
"Thank you," Offroad smiled at him and tried to calmly walk to the bathroom. He turned on the light and locked the door turning on the sink. Offroad ran to the window and began to open it and cursed when he realized it was one of those stupid windows that open outward only halfway. "Fuck!" Offroad yelled.
"Are you okay in there?" Ian's voice came from the door as if he was listening.
"Yeah, I just realized it soaked everything, do you mind if I take a shower?" Offroad asked.
"Sure, I'll get you some pajamas to change into. We should be a similar size, just might be a little long," Ian said, his voice trailing off as he walked away from the door. Offroad reach into the shower cutting it on.
"What are you doing?" Daous' voice came from the window. Causing Offroad to jump with how dark it had gotten he could barely make the man out.
"He tried to drug me," Offroad said, pushing on the window. "Get me the fuck out of here," Offroad growled.
"Fuck, okay, one second," Daou said and disappeared from the crack of the window.
Offroad heard the doorknob jiggle and turned to stare at it.
"Offroad?" Ian's voice yelled through the door.
"Yeah," Offroad called back.
"The clothes?"
"Oh can you leave them outside the door I'm almost finished,"
"Okay,"
"Ou," Offroad whispered out the window.
"Is he listening?" Daou's voice came.
"Yes,"
"Go into the shower, and on the count of three knock everything over in the shower," Daou instructed Offroad opened the shower door, took a deep breath, and on the count of 3 knocked everything he could over at the same time Daou ripped the window down.
"Offroad?" Ian's voice came with a giggle to the door handle.
"I'm okay, I slipped," Offroad said as he made his way back to the window.
"Come on," Daou said, reaching into the window. Offroad went into his arms.
"Offroad?" Ian called again and this time Offroad heard his body slam against the door.
"Ou!" Offroad said as Daou ripped him out the window.
"Run," Daou said as he set him on the ground. Offroad froze as Ian crashed through the bathroom door, his eyes narrowing at Daou and him.
"Son of a bitch!" Ian yelled as he ran from the bathroom door.
"Let's go," Daou yelled as he grabbed Offroads' hand and began dragging him from the house through the woods. In the distance, Offroad could hear yelling.
"Ou, they're coming," Offroad said, squeezing his hand.
"Yeah, they're going to have a problem getting anywhere with flat tires," Daou laughed as he continued pulling Offroad through the woods.
"You flattened their tires?" Offroad asked.
"His security sucks," Daou laughed.
"Wait, how did you know something was going to happen?" Offroad asked, pulling him to a stop.
"We don't have time for this," Daou growled trying to pull him along but Offroad was not budging. "God! Because when it comes to you everyone wants one of two things your ass or your money, and they will do anything for it,"
"So which one do you want?" Offroad asked, throwing his words back in his face.
"What?"
"You just said everyone wants one of two things from me my ass or my money, which one do you want,"
"You are seriously doing this here?" Daou growled. "They're going to find us!"
"I will scream if you don't answer the question," Offroad threatened.
"Fine," Daou said, calling his bluff. "Your funeral," he scoffed. Offroad smirked at him in the dark and opened his mouth and screamed for a second before Daou's hand smacked over his mouth. "You fucking brat!" Daou hissed.
"Answer the question," Offroad said, ripping his hand off his mouth.
"I can't want something you are willingly ready to give me, and I have never wanted your money" Daou growled. "Now let's go," Daou grabbed his hand and began running with him again.
Offroad followed him as they ran deeper into the woods as the sounds from Ian's house were fading. Offroad wanted to get lost in the woods tonight and he was going to get his answer.
