Sometimes do you ever wonder going back to that one time in which where you most regret it?
How about i say to you that kairos always felt that feeling?
Kairos Juarez a young boy who's always happy and contented because of Maya.
Maya Salazar a fierce girl, independent and has a goal.
They're friends since they were a kid they both go to school, play together, and the best part is that they have each other's back especially when times get rough.
One time back in their highschool days Kairos is being bullied thankfully Maya is there to help him, in their college days they promise each other that
"Pag umabot tayo ng 30 years old tas hindi pa tayo kasal tayo nalang ha" which they both agreed on.
Life is better because they both have each other, not until they both graduated they become apart, they both traveled different paths.
"I need to go to canada my mom will take me" does words echo on the four corners of the room.
Kairos become speechless because for almost a decade they're together but maybe this is the reality they both need to face, and he also doesn't have the strength to confess his feelings for Maya.
While kairos's willing to give his all it's the other way for Maya... Maya cannot give up her dreams just for him.
"Babalik kapa ba?" Ask by Kairos
"Im not sure. Im sorry Kai we're both not ready for this" said by Maya
When Maya turned her back to Kairos she knows that when she walk out of that room everything will fall apart.
I would say that Kairos become miserable after knowing that Maya her life line need to leave for the better his world stop and he become alcoholic, it's been 1 year since Maya left and Kairos become miserable he then realized that maybe, maybe Maya will come back so he decide to fix himself and become successful so that when Maya came back maybe they can be together.
12 years had passed kairos is 34 now and also Maya
"Goodmorning Sir, you have a scheduled meeting at 9am to your business partner" said by my Secretary
"Okay noted"
Life is good.... Not until i met who's my business partner
"Goodmorning Sir Kairos im Maya, Maya Sanchez your business partner" said by maya. She was smiling widely i accept her warm hand which i missed.
"Goodmorning Maya, you're back na pala? Kailan pa?" I ask
"Last month-" she suddenly stopped when a young kid pull her dress cutely
"Mommy i want ice cream" a little girl said while pouting
S-she has a daughter?
"Oh okay okay i'll get you some later ha" she casually said
"Im sorry Kairos, this is Hannah my daughter, Hannah go to daddy muna ha" she said while pointing on the man who's waiting for his daughter the man smiled at me so i smiled back
"You have a daughter na pala" Kairos said while smiling but deep inside he's broken
"Yes, we've married for 4 years narin. How about you how's life?" Asked by maya
"Im doing good.... Single" he said with a smile
That night kairos go to the place where he feel most alive
"It's funny to think that i waited for her to surprise her of my success but it looks like im the one she surprised." He whisper
He doesn't even realize that there's someone behind his back
"Why are you here kairos?"
"Maya?!"
"Did i surprise you?" She laughed
"Slight, i didn't expect that we would meet here"
"This is our comfort place, i just missed the feeling" her voice is soft
"Ahm, there's something i want to say" kairos voice is shaking
"Yes? What is it?"
"Do you know that i liked you since the day i saw you? No ahm i mean i loved you the very first day i saw you there's something in you that cause my heart to skipped abeat" kairos said while he's holding a beer
"Wow, ahm.... The truth is i actually felt the same way long ago. But the feeling is gone now" she said while smiling and looking on the moon
"Im married now, with the man i love so much. And im happy with him... im sorr-"
"It's okay... you don't have to be sorry i just want to confess my feelings because this feeling need to stop... i just don't want to carry this"
"Thankyou for understanding me kai, and thankyou for being a good friend to me" she said and hug me tightly
"Is this the end?" I asked, my voice cracked
"No, but this is for the better" she said her voice has a hint of pain.
Lot of what if's flood on my mind...
What if i tried?
What if hindi ko na pinag hintay?
What if i took that chance?
What if i confess long ago do you think we're together?
Time is always running, decision needs to be made faster but surely.
Always take the Risk because you may lose the Chance.
