The factory loomed in the distance, a crumbling relic of a forgotten era, shrouded in darkness. Its towering smokestacks were long abandoned, but tonight, it was the epicenter of chaos. Travis, Taylor, Patrick, and Ross crouched just beyond the perimeter, their eyes trained on the structure as they made their plan.

The air was thick with tension. Patrick pointed to a side entrance, barely visible in the moonlight, and spoke in a low, urgent tone. "We go in fast and quiet. Santino's expecting a big meeting with his buyers tonight, so security will be tight. We need to catch him before the deal goes down."

Ross, always the tactical one, added, "There's an underground tunnel system below the factory. If things go south, Santino could use it to escape. We need to block off all exits."

Travis was quiet, his mind calculating every possible scenario. The weight of this moment pressed down on him—this was their one shot at taking Santino down, and failure wasn't an option. He glanced at Taylor, who had her game face on, determined but calm. He was proud of how she'd held her own through all of this, but it didn't make the danger any easier to swallow.

"You ready?" Travis asked, his voice low as he stepped close to her.

Taylor nodded, her eyes locking with his. "I'm with you. Always."

A surge of protectiveness washed over him, but he forced it down. She wasn't some delicate flower, and tonight, they would stand together—no matter the outcome.

Patrick gave the signal, and they moved, swift and silent, through the shadows. As they reached the factory walls, Travis pressed his back against the cold concrete, scanning the area for guards. Two men patrolled near the entrance, their guns slung carelessly over their shoulders.

Ross took out a small blade, gesturing that he'd handle the one on the left. Travis nodded and signaled that he'd take the other. Without a sound, they moved in.

Ross was fast, slipping behind the guard and slicing through the air with precision. The man crumpled before he even knew what hit him. Travis moved just as quickly, grabbing his target from behind, covering his mouth as he pressed the barrel of his silenced gun to the man's temple. One shot, and the guard went limp in his arms.

The door was clear.

"Let's go," Patrick whispered, and the group slipped inside.

The interior of the factory was a maze of rusted metal and decaying machinery. Every creak and groan of the building seemed to echo louder than it should, making them all hyper-aware of their surroundings. They crept through the labyrinth of hallways, their footsteps muffled on the cracked concrete floor.

Travis led the way, his gun drawn, eyes sharp. He could hear distant voices ahead—the deal was about to happen. They were close.

Patrick motioned for them to stop as they approached a large room, its massive, broken windows letting in just enough light to cast eerie shadows across the floor. Inside, they could see Santino, standing at the center of the room, flanked by half a dozen men. He was talking to a group of buyers, all dressed in sleek suits, their cold gazes focused on the briefcases of cash and weapons spread out on the table between them.

"Game time," Patrick muttered under his breath.

But before they could make their move, the sound of boots on metal echoed from the far side of the room. Travis's heart sank as he realized they were too late. Santino had more guards—at least ten of them—entering from the opposite side, their guns already drawn.

"Shit," Ross cursed.

Travis's mind raced. They were outnumbered and pinned down. Charging in now would be suicide. He looked around for another way to gain the upper hand, but there was no time—Santino's eyes suddenly flicked toward the shadows where they were hiding.

"There," he barked. "Get them!"

Gunfire erupted in the air as Santino's men spotted them. Travis ducked, grabbing Taylor and pulling her behind an overturned metal crate as bullets ricocheted off the walls. Patrick and Ross took cover, returning fire.

"This wasn't part of the plan!" Taylor yelled over the chaos, her voice tight with adrenaline.

"I know," Travis growled, his mind working furiously. They needed to shift the momentum—and fast. His eyes darted around, searching for an opportunity.

Then he saw it.

High above them, an old crane hung from the ceiling, its rusted chains swaying slightly. It was perched directly over Santino's group, and if they could bring it down...

"Cover me!" Travis barked, already moving.

Patrick and Ross opened fire, laying down cover as Travis sprinted toward a rusted control panel on the other side of the room. He had no idea if the machinery would still work, but it was their only chance. As he reached the panel, he slammed his hand down on the levers, praying it would respond.

For a heart-stopping moment, nothing happened. Then, with a groaning screech, the crane shifted, the chains rattling as it began to lower.

Santino's men looked up, their eyes widening in confusion. They didn't have time to react before the crane came crashing down, slamming into the ground with a deafening clang. Dust and debris filled the air, and in the chaos, Travis and the others surged forward.

"Move!" Travis yelled, taking out two of Santino's guards with precise shots as they closed in on the center of the room.

Taylor stayed close to him, her movements sharp and quick as they navigated the chaos. She ducked behind cover, firing when necessary, her focus unwavering. Travis couldn't help the swell of pride as he saw how capable she was in this life-or-death situation.

They reached the center, but Santino was already backing toward the tunnel entrance, his eyes wild as he realized his plan was falling apart.

"Not so fast," Travis growled, leveling his gun at Santino.

But Santino wasn't done. With a sneer, he grabbed one of his men and used him as a human shield. "You think you've won, Kelce? You're in over your head!"

Travis's finger tightened on the trigger, his mind racing. But before he could fire, Santino tossed his shield aside and dove for the tunnel entrance.

"Dammit!" Patrick shouted, running forward as they all tried to cut him off.

Santino disappeared into the darkness of the tunnel, leaving behind the wreckage of his failed deal.

Back outside, the night air felt heavy as Travis and the others regrouped. The factory was silent now, except for the distant wail of sirens. They had disrupted the deal, but Santino had slipped through their fingers again.

Patrick's jaw was tight with frustration. "He's still out there."

"We'll get him," Travis said, his voice steady. "This isn't over."

Taylor came up beside him, her hand brushing his. She didn't say anything, but the look in her eyes told him everything. They had survived another night, but the real fight was still ahead.
