Lauren POV
I was sitting doing my homework the following Saturday, finishing my homework before I went to pick Sofia and Camila up. Another text lit up my phone, as I let out a sigh, knowing it would be Kylie and her friends.
A few weeks ago, I'd had enough of Kylie and her annoying friends bullying Camila.
-3 weeks before-
I saw Kylie and her friends standing against a wall behind the gym...the same place where I'd first gotten into a fight with Kylie.
"Kylie, I need to talk to you." I spoke up, turning all of their heads towards me, as everyone stopped laughing and glared at me.
"What do you want, slag?" Kylie spat at me, flicking her cigarette to the floor.
"What I want is for you to leave Camila alone." I said, firmly.
She chuckled, shaking her head slowly.
"Sorry, can't do that. Your slut of a girlfriend deserves everything she gets from us." She said, stepping closer to me. I didn't back down though.
"And how is it that she deserves any of the grief you give her?" I asked, disgust clear in my voice.
"Because, she's a scruffy, fat, slut and let's be honest here, Lauren. She doesn't love you. She doesn't love anyone. How can she when she doesn't even love herself?" Kylie said, getting closer to me, so close that I could smell the cigarette smoke from her breath.
"She's not any of those things. She's beautiful, she's amazing, and you don't have the right to call anyone scruffy, when you probably suck people off for cigarettes!" I retaliated, as all of her friends started 'ohhing' and 'dayumming'.
Kylie shoved me hard, causing me to stumble back, but luckily, I caught my balance before I could fall.
Anger was soaring through my body, as I clenched my fists. "And as for your pathetic little girlfriend, shes going to pay for your little stunt of coming to see me, Lauren. It'll be your fault the next time I punch her so hard, she throws up. Remember that." Kylie spat, before turning away from me.
I ran up behind her, and sent her flying face first down onto the floor, as I sat on her back, bending her arms backwards, as she cried in pain.
"Why the fuck don't you try picking on someone your own size?" I growled in her ear. "I don't play games, Kylie. I've asked you nicely to leave Camila alone, and I'm sorry that you won't." I said, before standing up.
Kylie stood up slowly, rubbing her arms in pain.
"Why don't I pick on someone my own size? Well guess what, Lauren?" She said smiling evilly, as I looked at her, confused.
"You just volunteered." And as if on cue, all her little friends, launched themselves at me, sending me to the floor.
I felt punches being thrown at me from all directions, as I covered my head with my hands, protecting my face from being hit, feeling the pain spread throughout my stomach, back and legs.
"Sure, Lauren, we will leave Camila alone." Kylie said, as the beating stopped and the she-devil and her minions walked away, leaving me lying on the ground, trying to get my breathing back to normal.
-flash back over-
Since then, I'd been receiving all kinds of threats, and I don't know what the little posse of demons had in store for me when I next seen them. But what I do know is, if they were leaving Camila alone, it was worth it.
The bruising around my stomach and back had gone down mostly, but not completley. It still hurt slightly when I moved. Why couldn't Kylie fight her own battles?!
I didn't tell Camila because I didn't want her to worry. She was safe now, and that's what matters.
I quickly scribbled my name onto my now finished homework, before shoving it into my school bag, so that I wouldn't forget it on Monday.
I quickly pulled my leather jacket on and combat boots, before heading down the stairs and out the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hello, beautiful." I greeted my girlfriend, as she pulled the door open.
"Hi Lauren!" Camila said happily, before pulling me into a hug, and kissing my cheek.
I heard little footsteps heading down the stairs, before Sofi appeared, smiling bigger than ever.
"Lauren!" She yelled, pulling her older sister away from me, before jumping into my embrace. "Hey kiddo, you excited to go and see a film?" I asked her before placing her down on the floor. "Yes! It'll be great! You'll laugh a lot!" The younger Cabello told me in a promising tone. "I'll take your word for it." I chuckled lightly before Camila interrupted.
"Sofi, why don't you go get your shoes on so we can go?" Camila asked, as the youngster nodded enthusiastically, before darting back up the stairs.
"How much sugar has she had?" I asked, wondering how such a small person could have so much energy.
Camila just laughed before moving closer to me, and attaching her lips to my own. "I missed you too." I laughed, once the kiss was broken, as I snaked my arms around a red faced Camilas waist. "Sorry, it's just we haven't spent much time together this week." Camila said bashfully. She was so adorable.
"I know, and I'm sorry." I said, nuzzling my face into Camilas neck. "It's not your fault, we've just been busy. But now I have you all to myself." Camila said, happily.
"IM READY!" Sofi yelled loudly, causing both Camila and I to jump, causing a collision of our heads.
"Shit, sorry." I mumbled, as Sofi started laughing. "What does shit mean?" Sofi asked, as Camila punched me in the arm.
"What was that for?" I asked, as Camila smirked at me.
"You're making my little sister swear." She said, laughing.
"No I'm not." I said, hoping Sofi would stop repeating the word shit.
"Shit, shit, shit, shi-"
"Sofi! If you stop saying that word I'll buy you sweets." I said, instantly grabbing the girls attention.
"But you said it..." She said, looking at me suspiciously. "And I'll take you for ice-cream after the movies it's your choice kiddo, take it or leave it." I said, hoping she wouldn't leave it. I can't imagine Camilas mom would be too happy if her younger daughter came home yelling 'shit'.
"Okay, okay. But I want extra rainbow sprinkles on my ice-cream!" The youngster said, furrowing her eyebrows. "Deal!" I said, ruffling her dark locks.
"And now you're blackmailing my sister, what next? Are you going to have her join a gang?" Camila joked, while I just shrugged my shoulders. "I could teach her how to use a gun." I joked, earning another smack from Camila.
"Stop corrupting my sister, and let's move, Jauregui." Camila shouted, before lacing her fingers with my own.
\(•!•)/
"So which film? Pixels or Inside Out?" I asked, while Sofi considered her options.
"MINIONS MOVIE! MINIONS MOVIE! PLEASE LAUREN, CAN WE SEE THE MINIONS MOVIE?" Camila begged, awing over the giant 'Bob the Minion' cardboard cutout.
"What do you say, Sofi? Should we let the child see the minion movie?" I asked, earning a giggle from Sofia, but a glare from her older sister.
"I'm joking Camz. I love you really." I said, giving her my best puppy dog eyes. "You'd better." She said, moving closer to me, linking her arm with my own.
I paid for our 3 tickets for The Minion Movie. What? How could I say no to Camila? I also bought Sofi ALOT of sweets. I hope she wasn't having dinner when she got home, Sinu would kill me.
Throughout the movie, Camila watched the film intently, as I kept sneakily stealing kisses from her, to which Sofi would make gagging faces at us, that little shit.
Once the movie was over, Sofi was sharp to remind me about the ice cream I'd promised her.
"Come on Sof, you need to choose a flavour." I told her, pulling the small child up to all the different colours and flavours of ice cream.
"What's that one?" She asked, as I lifted her up onto my shoulders so she could get a better view. "That's watermelon flavour." I said, laughing as she scrunched her face up in disgust.
"That sounds healthy, I want chocolate." She said, proudly.
"Whatever you want." I said giggling.
"What do you want, Camzi?" I asked, as my girlfriend looked adoringly at me and her sister. "Bannana, please." She asked, typical Camila, I swear, she'd choose bannanas over me sometimes! I laughed to myself, while ordering myself a mint ice cream, before Sofi lowered her head, whispering in my ear.
"You said I could get extra sprinkles." She said shyly.
"Ah yes!" I quickly grabbed the container of sprinkles, handing it to Sofi, while placing her on the floor.
She looked up at me, then back to the container before slowly taking it from me. "Put as many sprinkles you want in there." I said pointing to her ice cream.
The look of excitement on her face made my heart melt.
"How are you so good with kids?" Camila asked me, as we made our way over to a table in the back with our ice cream, after paying at the counter.
"I don't know, I guess I just like kids." I shrugged, as Camila grinned at me. "What?" I asked defensively when Camila kept staring intently at me.
"Nothing...it's just, well, you'll make an amazing mom one day." Camila told me. "Our kids will be so lucky." She winked, causing butterflies to erupt in my stomach.
I leaned over the table, attaching my lips to her own, in a slow and very loving kiss, as Camila let out a small moan.
The moment was soon interrupted when a very small Cabello wiped ice cream on our faces.
"Save that for the wedding." Sofi sassed us, causing me to choke on thin air.
"Well it is legal in all the states now." Camila mumbled, her mouth full of ice cream.
Were we really talking about getting married? I smiled at the thought of one day, marrying camila. My life would be complete. But it was way too soon for that yet.
We all made small talk, Sofi telling us about the annoying boys in her class, as the shop bell went off, signalling someone had entered the shop.
"Hey, Camila." a male voice sounded from behind us, as I quickly turned my head around to see who was speaking.
There stood a boy, around our age with brown curly hair and a smile with dimples. A boy who a lot of people would class as adorable or cute.
"Oh, George, hi!" Camila said, waving enthusiastically at the boy who stood before us. "Lauren, this is my counsellor at school." Camila finally comfirmed, as I just waved awkwardly.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm glad this Harry Styles wannabe was helping Camila, but I couldn't help the jealousy that was building up inside of me.
He was goodlooking, quite the charmer and clearly more help to Camila than what I could ever be. So yeah, I was jelous.
Camila stood up to go and talk to Gary or whatever his name was, while Sofi was finishing her ice-cream oblivious to what was going on around her.
I sat awkwardly, moving my leftover ice-cream around with my plastic spoon, when Camila came back over after hugging that guy goodbye. Were they even allowed to hug? Man, jealousy really sucks, even when you know you have nothing to worry about.
"Sorry about that, he's just really been helping me a lot lately, I couldn't ignore him, ya know?" Camila said, sitting back down next to me.
"Oh yeah. I totally get it, don't worry." I said, forcing out a quick smile, as Camila rested her hand on mine.
"So, do you want to do something after school tomorrow?" I asked Camila, who raised an eyebrow at me.
"I thought you had anger management tomorrow?" She asked, looking slightly confused.
"My days are always being moved around, it kinda sucks sometimes, but then other times, it works out great, cos then I get to take my girlfriend out on dates." I said, smiling goofily, to which Camila's cheeks turned a crimson red.
"Where do you have in mind?" She asked, playing with the ring that was on my pinkie finger, something she did often without realising.
"I dunno, I was thinking maybe we could like, go swimming or something.?" I asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "Why swimming? That's...different." She stated, not looking as though she was about to disagree, but looking more so curious.
"Well, I don't really want to be all cliché by taking you to the beach all the time, or out to fancy dinners. I want to be...unique." I said, as Sofi finished up the last of her ice-cream. "Come on Camz, it'll be fun!" I said persuasively.
She hesitated for a moment, before finally, happily agreeing. "Fine, okay. It's a date." She said winking at me, before leaning towards me and placing a light peck on my lips.
