Jennie POV
— I'm going to the bathroom — I say and Rosé agrees, but I turn to her again — Don't go home alone, it's almost one in the morning — I say and leave without waiting for an answer. Arriving at the bathroom I see people on the floor, but I ignore them.
I go to the sink and wash my face and look at myself in the mirror. Lisa kept encouraging me to go after Rosé, she's acting like the peck was a big deal. Anyway, I went after her and enjoyed dancing with her, which shouldn't have happened.
I sigh and decide to go back, when I get there I see a guy holding her arm that she tried to get free but he was stronger.
— Let her go — I say and he looks at me
— Mind your own business — he says, clearly drunk.
— I'm taking care — I say and punch him in the face, he slaps me in the face leaving me indignant, I hate being hit. I start to punch him, he falls to the ground and I was going to continue, but Rose gets in the way.
— Stop, you're hurt — He says and I realize that there were some people looking but not many
— Okay — I say and she pulls me out and stands in front of me, touching the corner of my mouth that burns and I groan in pain.
— Sorry — Speak — Need a bandage
— I'll take a shower when I get home — I say — I'll take you home and don't you dare refuse — I pull her by the hand to my car and she quickly gets in and I start driving too. Her house was close by and in less than 10 minutes we were there.
— Get out of the car — She says and I look at her confused, but she just leaves without explaining to me and I do the same and go to her — I'm going to do the dressing
— Rosé, no need — I say
— Shut up and come — She says and goes to the door of her house and I follow her. — Sit there — She says pointing to the sofa and I just obey by sitting on the arm of the sofa.
It doesn't take long for Rosé to come to me with a wet cloth, ice and some bandages. She starts cleaning the wounds by applying ice.
— You shouldn't have fought with that guy — He says.
— Should I have let him pull you out?
— No, but you shouldn't have hurt yourself — He says.
— It was nothing major — I say.
— Even so — He says, putting on a bandage — Ready — He says and we stare at each other for a few long seconds.
After a minute, she gets embarrassed and looks away, she was going to walk away but I hold her waist stopping her and she looks at me confused. I stand up, still holding her and steal a little kiss.
She gets embarrassed and lowers her head and I laugh.
— Oops, it was an accident — I say jokingly.
— Of course — He says and laughs
— Thank you for the bandage — I say
— Thank you for saving me from that guy — She says looking me in the eyes.
— I have to go — I say and she nods and I let go of her waist and walk to the door with her right behind me.
I quickly leave and go to my car, letting out a long sigh. I wanted much more than a little kiss, but it didn't seem like the right time. Not yet.
