DIAMOND
"Get the hell up!" My mother said as I rolled over. She started punching me as I blocked my face. Knowing she was already high.
I fell off the bed.
"Get ready for school hoe." She said as she slamed the door in my face. I looked at the time on the wall and seen it was 4:47am. As I grunted. I grabbed a towel and a rag as I got in the shower.
I got out and wrapped the towel around me. I went back in my room and locked the door as I put on a bra and underwear. I went in my dresser and pulled out some Jeans and A black T-shirt with some black converses. Kinda looked beat up but still useful.
I looked in the mirror I twisted the sides of my hair and out it in a bun. I looked at the time it was 5:52am time for me to catch the bus. I walked out into the living room where I seen my mother giving head. She use to be so different.
After my father died she went crazy and started doing drugs and sold my clothes and furniture til she started sucking dick and having sex for money.
I walked out the door down the street til I went to the stop sign with my best friend kinda like a brother Markel.
"Hey Kel." I said as I waved.
"Hey Diamond." He nodded. "I got some for you."
He handed me 35 dollars.
"No I cant take-"
"I know how it is under your roof just take it." He said. I sighed.
As I took it I stuffed it inside my pocket.
The bus came. As me and Markel got on. I sat in the way back with him. I looked out the window as I seen boys on the corner and girls walking around in barley nothing.
I haad morals I couldn't possibly do anything like that.
We soon later pulled inside the school. I got off the bus as I met with my best friend Kyla I call her Ky.
"Hey." She said. As Markel walked on the otherside of us.
"Damn shawty bad." Markel said pointing at the new girl Miracle.
"Thats that new girl Miracle." I said.
"Her ass is a Miracle." He said.
"Umm yeah whatever you go handle that and we will see you in class ight." I said.
"Cool." As he walked over there tryna spit game. As Ky took my hand and took me in the crowded hallway. As we walked to the lockers as I seen Nicki. She was very popular around here. In senior year. I might be young to be a senior but I was enrolled in school at 4 with Ky.
Kyla was just 17 also our mothers USED to be best friends.
So thats why me and her are so close now.
As Nicki came over here with her five followers.
"Awww look at the broke bitch." She said as they laughed at me.
"Nicki ian with yo bullshit today." Kyla said sticking up for me as I hung my head in shame. Nicki raised my head with the tip of her acrylic nail.
"Don't cry baby....Everyone wishes they were me. Your name says Diamond but your just Coal." She said. As she walked off laughing.
I closed my locker and ran in the bathroom and locked the stall. As I sat on the toliet seat.
I started crying. Why was my life like this I never did shit to nobody.
As Kyla came in. I thought I locked it when I came in.
She rubbed my shoulder.
"It's gon be okay." She said. Which made me cry harder. I knew nothing was okay. My life is fucked up.
"It's not Ky its never gon be!" I screamed.
"Yes it is. Okay don't let hoes like her tell you things like that. I hope you know she also sells her body to get things. Boys give her stuff and she does things." She said. As I looked up at her with a 'duhh' expression. "Come on before we are late." She handed me my books from my locker as everyone walked in class. I sat behind Markel as he played on his phone as Kyla was talking to me but I wasn't listening
The teacher was tryna get the class under control. I decided to listen to what Ky was saying.
"-and thats why I think we should go to the club." She said.
"Umm no I'm not going." I said.
"Girl yes I'll even give you some clothes okay." She said. As I laughed and agreed with her.
"Only this one time okay." I said. As she squealed.
"Yay." She said. I turned and tapped on Markel.
He turned around.
"Huhh."
"Wanna go to the club with me and Ky?" I asked him.
"Nahh you have fun but I'ma pass ima be with Miracle tonight." He said smirking.
"You are disgusting." I said.
"You are Diamond." He said. As I smiled.
"I sure am." As I smiled.
Rest of my classes went by fast today. As I gathered my stuff getting ready to go. I put them all in my locker.
As I looked for my bus number and got on. As I went to the back like usual. I there was no way with getting out of what Kyla did. I got off the bus with Markel as we were walking inside the same apartment complex.
We said our goodbyes. I walked in as my mother threw her EBT card at me go to buy food.
"Hurry up im hungry." She said. I sighed as I picked it up.
I walked back out the door. As I headed to the nearby grocery store that was about two blocks away. I walked inside the store as i got bread, milk, eggs, cheese, baloney, and a pack of skittles.

He looked at me like I was dumb. But he nodded. As I went to the register. He ended up behind me as I pulled out my EBT card. It was so embarrassing. As I grabbed my bags but he only had one thing so he was out before me. I could tell he was a big time drug dealer. I carried the bags all the way home.
As I entered the house I unloaded the bags as I heard moaning coming from my mom's bedroom.She is so nasty. I it was 5:45pm and it was time I come over Kyla house as I stepped out the door her car pulled up.
"Get in." She said. As I got in on the passenger side.
We drove to her house that was not to far from the apartments. We got out as I walked in.
I saw her mother.
"Hey Mrs. Hunman." I said.
"Hey Diamond." As she smiled at me.
We walked to Kyla's room. I took a quick shower. I got out. As she went in after me. I sat in one of her robe's waiting til she got out. She soon got out as she went in her closet. She gave me a two peice black dress. That showed my stomach. It brought out my curves. Made my butt look big. As my boobs stuck out a little.
My other outfits didn't really bring out my curves like this dress. As she gave me a pair of black heels. I put on some of her black lipstick. She had on a long red dress with some red bottoms on.
"Girl you look good." She said.
"What about my hair?" I said.
"Your right hold on i got you Cinderella."
As she grabbed a flat iron and pressed my hair. She had weave with curly ends so her hair was always did.
"There you go." She said as she finished.
She grabbed her phone it was 9:00pm.
"Girl come on we gotta go." She said. As we said bye to her mom. Her mom came to me.
"Y'all look beautiful. Watch this one please." She said as I quickly nodded not in the mood for her to talk even more.
As we rushed out the door to someone else's car as I got in with Ky.
"Oh baby this is Diamond, Diamond this is Rico." She said.
"Hey." I said quietly. I was very shy and still second guessing about the club.
"Hey lil' shawty." He looked as if he sold drugs to be like a corner boy not a big timer.
As they talked we pulled up to a club with a lot of people outside.
My stomach had butterflies in it as I was beyond scared. We got out the car as Rico went to one if the bouncers. As he let us in. I heard negative comments come from people. We walked in the crowded club as he led us to the VIP section. A lot of people were in here. As me and Kyla was dancing and Rico got us a drink. I kept dancing with Ky.
I seen someone who looked familiar... He made eye contact with me as I broke it.
He was that boy from the store. I decided to do nothing but dance with Ky as Rico came back with drinks. I took it and tried to give it to Ky.
"I can't drink this." I said.
"Girl please loosen up how long have you knew me? I got you." She reassured me.
"I guess so" as I took a sip of it.
Rico went to talk to the boy from the store. Ky told me to follow her. I trailed behind her. As she lead me towards the man and Rico.
"Baby and Diamond I want you to me my friend Saint. Saint meet Diamond and my girl." He said as he pointed us out. I took another sip of my drink. As he starred at me.
"Nice to meet you both." He stated.
"You too." Me and Ky said. Ky and Rico started dancing as I sat down next to Saint.
"Don't I know you?" He asked.
"I don't know do you?" I asked as he laughed. I dont really knew what was funny but I laughed anyway.
"So you got jokes huhh ok." Saint said.
"I sure do."
"Wanna dance?" He asked me.
"No I don't dance." I told him.
"Didn't seem like it a while ago."
I sipped the rest of my drink and handed to him.
"Thank you." I said as he looked at me like I was dumb.
"Really?" He raised one eyebrow.
"I'm sorry I thought you worked here." I said as I laughed.
"Ohh so we got a comedian?" He asked as I nodded. I grabbed his hand and took him to the dance floor.
"Don't expect me to grind on you." I said. He laughed.
"You're different." He smiled and I was so breath catching.
"I wasn't ment to be the same." I said as his smile grew wider.
Ky came by me.
"Time to go its 12:33." She said.
"Sorry Cinderella gotta go I can't leave you anything."
Ky left and was gonna meet me by the car.
"Well can I get your number?" He asked me.
"I don't have a phone." I said kinda embarrassed.
"We gon fix that since I see you around so much I guess I'll give you a phone next time I see you." He smiled. I nodded.
"Okay I gotta go bye." I said.
"I'll drop you off at home." He said.
"Uh sure I guess so." I said. We went to the entrance. As I told Ky I was leaving with him she nearly screamed her head off.
I got in the car with him. It was very nice. I don't know what kinda car it was but I want one.
"I like you car." I said.
"I like your dress." He said.
"Thank you." He was wearing jeans and a black T-shirt. With some sneakers.
"So tell me where you live."
"I don't tell my information to stangers." I tell him.
"Then why are you in the car with one?" He asked me.
"I dont know." I sighed. "I live in Lake Shore apartments."
"Okay." As he drove. He reached my building. "Isn't this where a woman name Cassandra lives?"
"Thats my mother." I said lowly with tears building up in my eyes I couldn't help it I was a cry baby.
"Oh mybad ian mean to say nothing on-"
"-its fine." As I closed his door. I walked up the steps.
So I guess my mother has been through everyone I sighed as I took off the dress and heels and place them in the dresser and got shorts and a tank top and laid down.
Things...I want but I know I will never have.
Next day
"Ahhhhh!!!" I said as my mother burned me with her cigarette on my thigh.
As she walked out.
I held my leg. As I groaned in pain. I got up as I thought of last night with Saint. It was horrible and I'm so embarrassed. I took a shower. As I got out I hurried out the hallway. As I locked my door. As I put on a bra and underwear.
I sighed as I took out another pair of jeans. With another shirt that Ky gave me. It was a Purple with pink designs on them. I put on my black vans its a shame I only had two pairs of sneakers but it will do for now.
I looked at the time and it was 5:30am I had time. So I just put my hair in a bun. And laid my edges. With the edge control Kyla gave me. I still had 35 dollars Markel gave me so I decided to spend that on lunch today. I grabbed the house key. As I headed out the door.
Slam
"Bitch!" As I heard a guy. I ran to my mothers room. As she was giving head and he was slapping her ass. I ran out the house and quickly walked fast to my bus stop. Trying to get the memory out of my head. Markel was there.
"What's wrong with you?" He said.
"Nothing." I said I didn't like to talk about what goes on in my house even to my brother.
"Whatever." He said. As we got on the bus. Like usual I looked out of the window. I laid my head on the seat in front of me.
As the bus came to a stop and we all got off.
"Hey so how was last night?" Kyla came towards me. Smiling hard as hell.
"Horrible." I said. Her smile slowly faded.
"What happened?" She asked.
"My mom." I said.
"Ughh ok lets go inside." She said as she took my arm.
We went into the hallway as we stopped at my locker.
