Let's just start with my home life. I've always had money. I always had those beach trips to the Bahamas or Jamaica or other tropical places. It was the norm! In about sixth grade I realized we were pretty wealthy. Other kids pointed it out, actually, so that was a hard way to find out.
"You're rich, stupid rich kid," or ,"gosh you don't get it because you're rich," or ,"the struggle is real.. Oh wait you're too rich to know."
I know, it should be great to hear you don't have family financial troubles, but when everyone around you is then it isn't. You get teased and taunted because you happen to have successful parents!
My mom was great! She never laid a hand on me, or anyone else. She was so loving, caring, and hard working. I remember having long talks about things with her. And parents, not asking about every single thing is great! Your kids will want to tell you everything. Trust me, I know.
I also had an older sister that I didn't meet until I was eight, she was really smart. At Yale the whole ten years she had of education. No holiday visits, but we did Skype a few times a year. She checked up on Mom and I, knowing how my father was. Olivia, my sister, had a different dad so she never has felt with anything.

She'd lie and say it happened at work, she fell off the chair, or anything she thought a child believes. When I had my tenth birthday I had a few friends over. Jim acted so different than he usually did, he pushed us around and acted rude. The other girls thought it was creepy and called their parents to pick them up. Jim caused more pain than love. He started physically and mentally abusing me, as well. I was diagnosed with depression when I turned 14.
I told the school principal about Jim after being diagnosed and social services got him. My mom remarried this really cool guy, John. He was so sweet and amazing to Momma. He also was a Yale graduate and was a surgeon for thirty years. He had an early retirement, which meant him and Momma could spend more time together. I was so happy for her! Olivia came to live down the street when I was 15 and helped with watching me. Now here I am, 16 and fed up with everything at school and society and the outside world. I really can't handle this..
