[Laura's POV]
I have picked the best Christmas gift for this little one. I smiled as I looked at my gift which is the sweater with the cute little kittens on it. I remembered that. I have been attempting to wrap this freaking thing for like 5 hours already and I still can't get it done!!! Oh, if you still have not know it yet, the group (includes me, Jessica, Cassie, and Abi) are having like a Christmas hang out today. It's almost 3 in the afternoon, the three went to buy some Christmas treats, while I stayed at my apartment STILL WRAPPING THIS GODAMN THING. I felt frustrated.
I have no experience in wrapping stuff at all. Sure, I'm smart but hell, I'm not skillful! Maybe because I had no one in my life to give a gift for! I always spent my Christmas alone! Well that was a little sad, now was it? Gladly, my savior came. Abi walked in my apartment with a bag.
"Hey" she stated.
"Yo" I answered back.
"Where are the others?" I added.
"Still shopping, I guess. I just came back here because I thought you needed some help over here" she answered. SHE'S A MIND-READER. I nodded my head and she smiled.
"So, I heard you have these strong feelings for Jessica, I see" Abi said while cutting the wrapper. I instantly blushed and shook my head
"NO! WHAT? HOW? WHO? YES! MAYBE!"
She just let out a chuckle. "You know, every single day of our school bonding thing, we really felt like you changed" she stated. I looked at her confused. "You've been constantly laughing all the time. And, wow, I never knew you were such a humorous person" she added.
"It was nothing" I said still blushing.
"Come to think of it, maybe there's a reason behind those emotions of yours." My face heated up again!
"I feel exactly the same way about Cassie..." she paused. "You might think I'm boring all the time because I'm so self-reserved, got nothing more to say but like two phrases. But hey, Cassie's always there to cheer me up. My day always brighten when she's around. She's so excited all the time and I can't help but smile as well."
Wow, Abi is so deep with words. "And I was thinking, that Jessica's doing the same for you, huh?"
I let out a small nod. Ica and Cassie burst right in the door. I jumped lightly, surprised. Abi chuckled "We just can't go on a day without them, huh?"
"Yeah" I smiled.

We're out in some place where there are so many food stands and activities. A Christmas Eve afternoon with these chumps. I just saw Jessica staring at a Starbucks stand. Why is there a Starbucks stand here!? Anyways, I pulled her earlobe.
"OW! LAURA THAT HURT!". Tsk, this sensitive little chick.
"If you want Starbucks, you could have just told me!" I said walking towards the stand. I ordered her something, I guess. I'm not actually a big fan of these but hey, she looked excited, so why not?
"Starbucks has been my favorite since 13!" she said cheerfully as she took a sip. I smiled at that.
We had small talks with Abi. Until she was suddenly pulled by Jessica and showed her a fish in a pond that looked exactly like her. While Abi smacked her head yelling at Jessica. I chuckled.
"Ohhhh! Love, isn't it?" Cassie said out of the blue.
"HUH!? Shut up" I answered quickly.
"You know, Laura..." she started. "Jessica loves Christmas".
My eyes widen "She does?"
"Yeah!" she answered back. Then I saw the two coming back towards us.
I heard Jessica humming 'Winter Wonderland'.
"Even if it's just humming, it's still beautiful as ever" I said.
"Shut up!!!" she jumped and punched my arm lightly. She looked down "I just love Christmas, you know? It's the season where everybody's nice to each other. The season of giving. Being good. And every Christmas, I knew I would be good. Because I love Christmas"
"And what was that punch for, huh?"
She glared at me "I'm being nice starting now" She sighed and smiled widely "Don't ruin Christmas for me, 'kay?".
I hate Christmas. The last good Christmas I ever spent is when I'm with my parents. Just exactly 4 years ago. I hate Christmas. Every season, I'm alone. I celebrate it by just cooking myself some turkey, which I am able to finish it till the next month. Every time I see families around I couldn't help but either roll my eyes or just cry, then and there. The last gift my parents ever gave to me was a scarf, I hid it by the way. That was my last memory of them. I hate Christmas.
The other two went home. We've said our goodbye's. Tomorrow's the real deal, anyway. I turned to Jessica, still smiling. Our eyes met.
"I would still be up later. In my house with my family. I was wondering if you would want to come, too?" she asked.
"Uhhh..." I'm so lost in words. "No thanks" I declined. I rubbed the back of my head.
"Oh" she said it, with an actual disappointment to it "I see, it's fine" she smiled.
"I'm sorry" I said. She nodded. We fist bumped and waved each other goodbye.
Well, that was a bit anticlimactic. Actually, I really did want to spend my Christmas with Jessica. Just to experience what their Christmas is like. Ughhhhh what am I saying!? I just don't want to get in the picture, you know? I sighed and kicked the trash can coincidentally beside me.
"I'm so intelligent and stupid at the same time." I muttered to myself. A few moments later, I'm back at my apartment. I threw myself on the bed, with my face facing down. I lifted my head up to see a wrapped box. Woah, what?
"Oh sh*t" I cursed under my breath.
It's within a matter of minutes when I grabbed the gift and ran outside my apartment. How could I forget the gift!? That's when I knew, I'm more stupid than ever! I ran and ran until I reached Jessica's house. I rang the doorbell. To my surprise, It was Joshua who came out.
"So you finally decided to come have dinner with us, huh?" he grinned.
That storytelling Jessica!!! He beckoned me to go inside "Well, come on in!".
I sat down their couch. It's been a while since I went to their home. Looks cozy too.
"Oh hello, Laura!" Tina greeted me with a light kiss on my forehead.
"We're so glad you came to join us for this season" Troye joined in.
"Dad, all the stuff in the attic are arranged now s-". Oh hello there. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?" Jessica yelled.
"What!? You invited me here!!!" I yelled back.
"BUT YOU DISAGREED!!!"
"WHAT HAPPENED TO BEING NICE!!??"
We glared at each other for like 10 seconds.
"Now, now. Break it up!" Troye said.
"I can't believe Laura's here..." Jessica muttered.
"I heard that" I whispered to her. We began eating dinner. They started to talk about some funny stuff. I laughed as well. Then I suddenly heard the doorbell.
"I'll get it" Jessica stood up and ran towards their door like she's excited or something. Of course she was excited! Why? 'Cause look who came to visit. Good ol' Lucas.
"Hey, Mr. and Mrs. Roland, Josh. Oh! Hello Laura" he smiled at every single one of us. Then that's when the family explained to me that Lucas would be joining us for dinner.
[Jessica's POV]
"I'm so happy you came!" I kissed Luke. Which felt like it's definitely wrong. Since we buried the hatchet last time, I felt like something really changed between us. But whatever that is, right? I showed him towards the dining table. I caught a glimpse of Laura, glaring at him at some point. Lucas greeted my family and Laura. I smiled as well.
"Oh! I almost forgot. Lucas here, would be joining us for dinner" mom explained to Laura. It didn't make her change her facial expression though. How weird.
"Don't worry. He'll just stay here until after dinner" Joshua added. She suddenly smirked. What a supportive brother he is. Wait, what? I rolled my eyes. We've been talking about dad's first Christmas. Heck, it was soooo hilarious!!! We laughed and laughed. My tummy hurts for it.
So, dinner was over! My stomach is definitely full because of that delicious turkey. I'm already outside the porch, saying goodbye to my boyfriend. Still felt like it's wrong. I hugged him.
"Merry Christmas, babe" he handed me his gift which is a perfume. A Victoria's Secret perfume! I never knew my boyfriend was a rich kid. He kissed my cheek and waved goodbye. I smiled and waved at him as well. I went back inside and I didn't see Laura anywhere.
"Um guys, where's Laura?" I asked.
"Backyard!" Joshua answered in the distance.
I opened the back door and saw Laura sitting on the back porch stair.
"Hey" I said. She looked back like she was surprised.
"Yo" she lifted her hand up as a wave. I sat beside her.
"So, what an interesting Christmas you had this year, huh?" I asked.
She chuckled "Yeah. But hey, I had fun!".
I blushed at that. She stood up. And I stood up as well.
"Hey Ica, Merry Christmas" she said handing me a gift box. She bought me a gift! I tore up the wrapper excitedly.
"Hehe. The wrapper was like 5 hours of hell in my entire life" she chuckled. I chuckled too. Then I opened the box to see... THE ADORABLE SWEATER THAT I LOVE SO MUCH!
"Oh my gosh, you did not..."
"Yeah, I did"
"Seriously, Laura? This must have cost a lot, you know!!!"
"Well, a bit of effort I guess." she smiled.
"Thank you Laura!!!" I jumped like a little kid and hugged her. It felt nice and warm.
"You're welcome. Haha, anyways! I have to go now. Thanks for the dinner" she said. But then I suddenly noticed something.
"Uh... Laura" I pointed upwards. We both looked up.
It's a mistletoe.
[Laura's POV]
"Ohhhhh...." I said.
"Ohhhh......" I said again.
What am I saying? I'm so lost with words right.
"Well, I'm pretty sure that we won't do that rule, so don't worry, ok? I'm going now. See y-" Jessica grabbed my shirt just as I was walking towards the back door. Huh? Why did she did that? I turned to face her and her face was bright red.
My eyes widened "Oh... you.. you're serious here!"
She stayed silent. To be honest, I really want to do that Mistletoe thingy. But hey, I can't cause 1) She's straight and 2) Yeah, she's straight, that's pretty much it!
I sighed and put my hand on her head.
"You sure you want to do this?" I asked.
She nodded "I just want to follow the Christmas rules"
I smirked. She suddenly kicked my knee.
"OW!". "Just for Christmas! You perverted monster. Tsk. And besides..." she paused "...I told you not to ruin Christmas for me."
Heat is now all over the place. I couldn't help but blush as well. Here we go again. A world that's just the two of us here. I smiled and leaned closer to her, I saw her closing her eyes full of nervousness.
"You just love Christmas, don't you?"
I slowly leaned in to reach for her lips. It was just a moderate peck. A kiss that is only about four seconds. Heck, it was the greatest four seconds of my life.
And that's it! My very first kiss was a freaking girl! Wow. But I don't want to question my sexuality right now. All I want to think about was how amazing that kiss was.
[Jessica's POV]
Um. Ok. Whatever that was. It was. Ok. Umm, quite different that Luke's lips. Umm, it was. Uhhh. Oh what the heck am I saying? It was unexpectedly magical.
Laura smirked and said "Merry Christmas. See ya"
And with that she instantly left. Leaving me stunned there. I can't move for a moment. I can feel my blush. The heat. That kiss was so different... It's the first time I have ever kissed a girl. Correct me if I'm wrong... but I liked it. heck, I loved it.
