I woke for the second time hearing Anya and Paul talking. “We don’t have much time left” said Anya. “I know its getting closer and closer…we been travelling for a while with out an attack it is not going to last much longer even if it is hard for them to sense him while he is out of it” said Paul. “Yes I know that is what I fear we have far to go still and that is the major problem” she said. I opened my eyes to find myself in a back of a car they must have ditched the motorbikes after the attack so we could keep moving even if I was out of it. I looked over at the window it was dark I wondering how long it had been I couldn’t be sure how long I had been out. “Lucky he is only been out for seven hours but its seven o’clock at night I hope he is going to be alright” said Paul. “Me too but we can not worry we have to keep moving it’s our only hope we are there only hope” said Anya. “Indeed…” Paul tailed of and I began to wonder if Petra had anything to do with Paul and his sister the way she spoke about her sister and her brother they sounded like Paul and his sister but I could still not be sure if what I saw was correct or not.
“Sorry to bother you but we have company and I don’t think it’s for a fight either they wish to speak to Fate” said Alli I could tell by her voice. “Who wants to speak to him” asked Anya I could hear her panicking. I managed to spot Alli flying near the window of the drivers sit Anya was driving. “It’s the girls of dreams” said Alli. “Oh great fantastic but I guess we will have to let them try to speak to him even if I got no clue if he will wake up” said Anya. “Don’t worry I’m awake” I said to them. Anya pulled the car over and they all looked back at me. When I had spoken I sounded not like my self like I had a really bad throat infection or something. “Alright but they have to come to the car” said Anya.
Paul and Anya helped me sit up in the car but I was feeling terrible and Paul was the only one helping me to sit up straight without me passing out. Alli had gone to talk to the girls of dreams and said only two of them can speak to me. I didn’t know much about them apart from what Anya said as we waited for them. “Do not keep to long eye contact do not mess with them or believe they are doing it for the best its normally so they can gain, at times they can care though too so you need to have your mind open with them”. “Alright I understand but why do you think they want to talk to me” I asked her. “I can not be sure Fate but I hope it’s not what I think it is just be carful alright”. With that Paul and Anya left me in the car sitting there and I was not feeling as good as Paul left my side. Not long after that two girls sat either side of me in the car looking at me pleasantly.
I knew what Anya meant you just had this feeling to stare at them all day because they were so pretty but what shocked me the most was the fact that the girls of light were pretty too but I didn’t feel this way around them. “We like to make you an offer” spoke the oldest of the two and she looked like she maybe the boss of her group of girls like Anya was with the girls of light but I could not think straight as I was still in a lot of pain as well as being dazzled by the girls of dreams. Both girls had ginger hair and sparkling green eyes. “We never get a boy who wishes to spend time with us never wants to experience are powers of dreams but all we want to do is make them happy, we want to make you happy Fate come with us you don’t have to follow your destiny you can come with us and not worry about it any longer” she smiled. I didn’t have a chance to say anything but I don’t believe I could have had said anything anyway.
My eyes closed and slipped into a dream about my mother and me on a beach with a strange looking man sitting next to her they then kissed. “We love you son” said the man. I couldn’t believe my eyes what was going on. “I told you he was only away on business but now he is back and we are having this lovely holiday. “This is not real…it can’t be” I said to myself. “It can be my friend just say you will come with us and we can give you this and even more” I heard the girl whisper from somewhere but I knew that I was still sitting next to her but she had dragged me into this dream but everything was wanting me to say yes I didn’t want this I wanted a real life a normal life and they could give it to me even if it was a dream it would feel real forever. “No son do not trust them wake up, wake up son before they deceive you and make you believe life will be better of that way it will never be real it will never be true because I am your father that man is not” I heard my fathers voice in my mind. “Get out of the dream” screamed the girl loudly.
I opened my eyes finding Anya and Paul pulling the two girls out the car. “Get out and stay out you have no right here your mother will be disappointed in you that is not what your powers are about no wondering she disowned you” said Anya. “Yeah…maybe you should know that I don’t see your mother around” said the girl as they walked of. “Ignore them not everyone can see there mother or father we deal with it” said Paul. “Yes…we are better then them Paul but your father he will always be great and you seen him” said Anya. “Yes I saw my father a lot as I grew up its meant to be like that they love us but sometimes we don’t see them” said Paul. “Yeah…like my father he didn’t see me because he didn’t know about me” I said to him. “Exactly and the lords help us always trying to do there best always helping out with the witch of times visions” she said to us. “Yeah but sometimes they decide to kill when there scared” said Paul slightly annoyed. “I am sorry about what happened to your mother it was not right” said Anya. “Don’t worry about it…Fate how are you feeling what happened we didn’t get you out the dream who did” said Anya. “Oh thanks oh Fate I know you didn’t get yourself out who did that’s nice” I said to her. “Oh” she said but I cut across her “Never mind my father was calling to me he normally can do it when I am dreaming but really it’s a memory I guess he found away to do it in a dream this time” I said to her. “Your dad spoke to you” she said to me. “Yeah but you said I should not tell you about the memories I see including my dad speaking to me but I guess I never really thought about it” I said to her. “Oh yeah right of course” smiled Anya. “Should we get going again now we got rid of the girls of dreams” said Paul. “Yeah would be a good idea” smiled Anya. “Yeah we don’t have much time left its coming up 9 at night do you think we can still travel” asked Paul. “Of course we don’t have time to loose back in the car, Alli get the girls up in the air we are of again” said Anya.
I was feeling a bit better then I had before but I knew I needed more rest. “Fate…we never told you how close it was for you to die, you hit the ground and any normal person would die but you survived and considering you didn’t get hurt as much as we thought you would have but still you need as much rest as possible you are weak and variable to us like this close your eyes and rest and trust me if something is wrong you will here it” said Anya. “Yeah specially with your mouth” laughed Paul as I closed my eyes and Paul cursed which I took Anya had hit him. I opened my eyes again and asked “Is there any food”. I ate some food and so did Anya and Paul because they hadn’t eaten in a while either before I closed my eyes again.
I felt the car starting up and I believe we were back on the road but I couldn’t stop thinking about the memories that had been shown to me, what I had seen I couldn’t think why were so important but I knew they had to be something that would help with the quest it had to be. I also could not stop thinking about how much I had gone through the last few days and I probably had a lot more to face before we succeed in our quest if we ever finished it of course. I was beginning to feel like I would never see my mother again and I would never meet my father who didn’t even know I had existed till a while ago. I wanted to speak to my dad properly he was the one speaking to me but I couldn’t speak back to him and it felt horrible to have to listen but can’t reply.
“I don’t want to worry you Anya” began Paul. “Alright monkey boy what is it” said Anya. “Well you know I have these feelings” began Paul. “Yes the feelings you get because you’re a monkey go on” said Anya. “Well I believe that we may want to go faster” he said. “Why scared we will not make it, if we go fast or not it will take just as long now is that all you have to say” she said slightly loudly then before. “Well actually the reason I say faster is because something is on our tail” said Paul. “Ok smart ass how do you know that” said Anya. “You are so annoying I said I have these feelings and if I was you I believe me because they are always right now get out the car and get the girls ready you will need to attack it” said Paul. “Paul if there is something I will drive I want to make sure Fate does not get hurt” said Anya. “Anya I know you like him, I know even if you can not admit it but trust me I can protect him you be better of in the sky your weakness is on ground when attacking monsters you know that but you never admit that either trust me I can protect Fate I will insure he does not get hurt he is my friend too and I will not let him get hurt” said Paul. “But monkey boy you can’t even drive a car” she began. “Known of us should be able to drive but we do its not going to be that harder from a motorbike let me take the wheel and get going its near now” said Paul. “But” however Paul cut across her saying “Get out the bloody car before I kick your ass out the window”.
With that Anya was getting out through the window and Paul took the drivers sit. Not long after that the fight started and I noticed a huge dragon running down the motorway straight towards us. “Girls take fire” I heard Anya shout from outside the car but moments later Paul shouted out his window “Bloody attack them already do you want us all to be killed”. I couldn’t help but laugh and Paul noticed I was awake. “Fate stay down he probably can use fire” said Paul. “Girls be carful it’s an ice dragon and can hit you with its balls of ice and can freeze you incidentally”. “Nice” I said with a little bit of fear in my voice. Paul had to turn the car quickly and shot down a road missing the ice ball by inches. “Crap” he said annoyed with himself. “What” I said to him. “Can’t a boy with a monkey tail who is trying to drive a car not say crap in this situation with out there being any more bad news” said Paul. “Well actually the dragon is gaining on us and it does not look pleased that its getting arrows fired at it” I said to him. “Thanks for that Fate next time I need someone to state what exactly is happening I make sure to call you” said Paul. “If we ever get out of this turn left, left, left Paul left right takes you the wrong way” I shouted at him. At the last second he pulled left nearly hitting oncoming cars and I managed to hear someone curse as we zoomed out in front of them.
“You are a crazy driver” I said to him. “My friend always says when you drive, enjoy it experience it in ways your parents will never let you because when you are older you will never dream of doing it” said Paul. “I have already experience crazy ways to drive a motorbike and I don’t wish to end up in the back of another car in a car too alright watch the traffic” I said to him. “Don’t worry I will not get us killed” he smiled as he turned back around and had to turn right to miss a lorry. “Yeah I keep you to that word until I am out of this bloody car or with you not driving it any longer” I said to him. “Paul take it towards that fountain and than we will be able to take it down I think going to need your help Paul this is when your skills come in” smiled Anya. “If he has any” I pointed out but both of them seemed to not hear me as we zoomed towards the fountain which was not far way only a mile away.
“Fate I need you to get out the car you are not safe on the ground I get you to fly with me” said Anya who was flying next to us out side the window. I rolled it down saying “Alright but I did fly…I did for a little while then it didn’t work like it never happened” I said to her. “Yeah we should have expected that since you are like the son of the witch of the skies” said Anya. “Anya it’s gaining on us and we are not at the fountain yet” said Alli. “We can do this Fate take my hand” she smiled. I took her hand and she helped me out the car through the window. I was feeling a hell of a lot better then I had been before and I was glad of that. Anya shot up higher into the sky with my hand in hers. “Paul head towards the fountain at the last second jump from the car Alli with grab you and then we attack” said Anya. “Alright” shouted Paul from the car. I was hoping that this planned worked but I had a bad feeling it wasn’t going to work at all.
If it wasn’t for the girl that came along I believe Paul would have been hurt badly but I don’t even want to think about that. I didn’t understand how the girl did it but I was just glad she did. Paul jumped from the car and then the girls of light fired at it with their arrows. That was when a girl appeared with black hair and dark clothing but she fired a huge ice ball at the dragon and it froze as it went to stamp on Paul. “It can’t be” said Anya as she dropped me and I fell but before I knew it the girl who had saved Paul was catching me and put me on the ground unsafe. “You where always the one to hang around with girls that seem to fail at times and boys that seem to always sacrifice there self’s and then end up not useful for while” said the girl next to me. “Hey that’s not far I can still fight” I said to her. “Of course” she laughed. “What are you doing here, I haven’t seen you in years since I said I had to prove myself” said Paul as he walked over to us. “Yes we both went our separate ways but I never forgot you, I loved you, and you where the only one I loved and will always be the one I love” she smiled. “Yuk” said Anya with a laugh. “I never forgot you either but you didn’t support me unlike Anya did, even at times she can be so annoying she supports me” he said to her. “You love me not her right” she said to him. “Of course I love you Anya is my friend why did you run” Paul said to her. “The truth is I was afraid what you was about to do would break us apart and I couldn’t deal with that so I left but I understand I can not live with out you anymore” she said to him. “I know what you mean” said Paul. With that they cuddled each other and they then looked at me and the rest of the girls of light. “Can she join us” said Paul. “Sure it’s alright with me Fate this is Victoria but I believe she likes Vicky or vic” said Anya. I shock hands with her before I looked over at the destroyed car. “Now how we going to travel” I said to Anya. “Well we could” began Victoria but stopped and looked at me. “Yeah…it don’t mean you can walk in and take charge the girls of light lead the path…we still have to follow the prophecy if you like it or not” said Anya.
I couldn’t help but laugh as Anya and the girls of light walked of to discuss how we would travel I was left with Paul and Vicky. “So you use to go out” I said as I couldn’t think of anything to say. “Well yes if that is what you want to talk about so your name is Fate” she asked me. “Yeah that’s my name” I said to her. “Of course it is so why are you on this quest” she asked me. “Well I still wonder why but I am the son of the lord of memories” I said to her. “Oh alright since we are mentioning names I am the daughter of the ice lord. “Oh that’s cool” I said to her. “Yes well I more prude to be his then my mother who is the witch of shadows” she said to me. “Wait” I began. “Yes my mother is married to the shadow lord but he didn’t get that angry considering he just told her not to do it again and she didn’t…until he got vanished of course” said Vicky. “I don’t understand” I began. “I do not like my mother that much I hate her to be honest no one knows where she is these days disappeared the night they killed the lord of shadows” said Vicky. “Oh alright” I said to her.
“Wait” Paul began. “Don’t worry I wish to tell him my mother had a second child two days after his death she left him behind nine months after and she ran…he is around 12 years old now I see him now and again when I go see my father she had him with the ice lord too so we are brother and sister but I never found much time to spend time with him and my father I like to be helping others and being out and about I like to fight and I also fell in love with Paul along the way but I ran again I do that a lot but I am trying to change” she said to me. “Oh I see well don’t worry we don’t bite here well…not all of us” I pointed out and laughed over in Anya’s direction. “Yeah well I met her before I don’t think she liked me back then either” pointed out Vicky. “She is hard to get to know” said Paul. “I guess so” said Vicky.
