Lauren walked slowly down the hallway towards the soft whispers she had heard. Peering into the living room, she blinked a few times as lightning flicked through the home and lit it up for a few moments.

The scene in front of her was almost angelic. Camila sat in the middle of the room, clad only in her underwear and what Lauren made out to be one of her sheer white blouses. She couldn't help but smile when she realized Camila must have just grabbed the first item of clothing she found to throw overtop of her sports bra.

Besides the glow of the moon though their windows, the only other thing lighting up the room was the dull light coming from the laptop placed in front of Camila. The small girl mumbled something under her breath, gently pushing Wolf away when he tried to gain her attention.

Lauren raised an eyebrow, taking a few steps out from behind the hallway to make her presence known. Camila, however, was too focused on the task at hand to notice the green eyed girl until her soft voice filled the room.

"What'cha up to?" Lauren whispered, kneeling down next to her girlfriend. Camila gasped, her hands immediately grabbing the laptop and turning away from Lauren.

"Nothing," Camila whispered. She looked up at her girlfriend nervously. "Why are you awake?"

"I could ask you the same thing," Lauren said quietly, concern laced in her words. "Is something wrong? Did the storm wake you up?"

Camila shook her head, looking down at the laptop screen anxiously. "You should go to bed," she whispered. Lauren tilted her head to the side.

"What's going on?" Lauren asked, suddenly becoming more concerned. She scooted forwards to try to see the laptop but Camila quickly moved it once more. Lauren raised an eyebrow.

"Nothing," Camila shook her head once more. It was then that the green eyed girl saw tears forming in the younger girl's eyes, threatening to spill over.

Camila grew confused when Lauren quietly got to her feet and disappeared out of the room. She quickly turned back to the laptop, wiping her eyes and trying to focus through her blurred vision.

It was only when she heard footsteps reproaching that she looked up to find Lauren kneeling next to her, placing two glass on the hardwood floor.

"Let's talk," Lauren nodded softly, taking the bottle of wine Dinah had given them out from under her arm. She poured a small amount in each of the glasses, gently sliding one to Camila. "What's got you up this late?"

Camila studied the glass, cautiously wrapping her fingers around it and bringing it to her lips. Lauren watched as the small girl took a sip, running her tongue over her teeth a few times to capture the taste. The green eyed girl breathed a sigh of relief once Camila lifted her glass for another sip.

"It is nothing, Lo," Camila shook her head, swallowing the lump in her throat. Lauren gave her a look that only Camila understood. A look that said 'I know better than to believe that.'

Gently, Lauren reached out and placed one hand on the laptop, looking up at Camila for approval. When the small girl simply hung her head down, Lauren slid the laptop in front of her and leaned down to study the screen.

"What is this?" Lauren tilted her head to the side. She set her wine down and moved the cursor around the screen. "Surveys?" The girl looked up at Camila, who was hanging her head down guiltily. "I don't understand," Lauren said softly.

"I need money," Camila whispered, almost inaudibly. Lauren almost didn't catch the small girl's words, but when she did, she grew even more confused.

"Money for what?" Lauren asked. "We have money. We both just started jobs."

"I need a lot of money," Camila said softly, shaking her head. Lauren raised an eyebrow.

"Well I hate to break it to you but online surveys aren't gonna make you a lot of money anytime soon, goofball," Lauren laughed softly. She instantly regretted it, though, because moments later Camila let out a frustrated sigh and brought her hands up to wipe her eyes once more.

"No, baby, I didn't mean to upset you," Lauren quickly shook her head, shutting the laptop and pushing it aside so she could wrap an arm around her girlfriend. "I'm just trying to figure out why you think you need money."

"I need..." Camila took a deep breath, shaking her head and looking down at her hands in her lap. "I need a ring."

"A ring?" Lauren asked, tilting her head to the side. Things started to fall into place when Camila stole a shy glance at her and nodded. "A ring... for what?" Lauren watched as Camila's eyes widened and she looked back down.

"For something," Camila mumbled. Lauren sighed, reaching out and taking Camila's hand in hers.

"You know we can talk about anything, Camz. Anything," Lauren emphasized her words. A vague idea of what Camila had been doing was forming in her head, but she wanted to hear Camila say it first.

"I..." Camila couldn't help but laugh nervously. She shook her head and looked down. "I wanna..."

"Say it, Camz," Lauren squeezed her hand, feeling a mixture of confusion and excitement.

"I want to marry you," Camila whispered, the words finally spilling off of the tip of her tongue. She didn't dare to look up at Lauren. She was scared of how her girlfriend would react.

"You could've just said that in the first place," Lauren giggled, which took Camila by surprise. She looked up, finding the green eyed girl with a shy smile on her face. Lauren was thankful it was dark so Camila couldn't see how badly she was blushing.

"You're serious, though?" Lauren asked softly, tilting her head to the side. "You really want to... you know?"

Camila nodded, but let out a soft sigh. "I am sorry," she mumbled, looking down at the ground. Seeing Lauren's excitement only made it worse for her.

"Sorry for what?" Lauren furrowed her eyebrows in concern.

"I can not get a sparkly ring," Camila shook her head, letting her hair fall somewhat in front of her face. "I can not get a beautiful dress or lots of flowers or-,"

She was cut off by Lauren, who squeezed her hand and pressed a finger against her lips to silence her. "Camz," she laughed softly and shook her head. "All that stuff? It doesn't matter," she brushed her hair out of her face.

"But they said..." Camila whispered. Lauren shook her head.

"It doesn't matter what they say, Camila. It never does. You know what matters?" Lauren reached out, tilting Camila's chin up so she could see the smaller girl's face. "What we say. That's all that matters."

"And you know what we say when we get married? For better or for worse, for rich or for poor," Lauren cupped Camila's cheek, running her thumb across the smooth skin. "If you want to get married, I'm not gonna let some stupid ring stop that from happening. Money doesn't buy love."

Camila looked up when the realization washed over her, a shy smile on her face. "So we can do it, then?"

"Get... get married?" Lauren laughed softly, still somewhat in shock that Camila wanted something like that. Camila nodded softly. "Are you sure?"

Camila giggled, nodding once more. "Yes, I am sure," she rolled her eyes jokingly. "I would not say it if I was not." She couldn't help but laugh when Lauren just stared at her in disbelief.

"I mean it, Lo," she laughed softly, crawling forwards and sitting directly in front of Lauren. She cupped her face, forcing the other girl to look her in the eyes.

"If it is not about the ring, or the fancy dress, then it is just about love, right? We have that, Lo," Camila nodded softly. "It will not change anything, right? It only... it only brings us together, right?"

"Right," Lauren whispered. Camila had a way of taking the most complex situations and breaking them down into the simplest ideas. It was one of the many things Lauren loved about her.

"So you really want to get married?" Lauren asked, a nervous smile on her face. Camila bit her lip.

"Do you?" Camila whispered.

"It would be an honor to be your wife, Camila Cabello," Lauren whispered, leaning in and placing a kiss on the bridge of her girlfriend's nose.

"That is it?" Camila giggled. "You and me?"

"Me and you, goofball," Lauren laughed, excitement bubbling in her stomach. Camila smiled widely and leaned in to connect their lips in a soft yet passionate kiss.

Once the kiss pulled away, Camila couldn't contain the excited smile on her face. "We are getting married, Lo," she whispered, bursting into laughter moments later.

Lauren giggled and stood up. Camila furrowed her eyebrows, watching as the girl retrieved her phone and scrolled through it for a few moments.

"We have to practice for our first dance, right?" Lauren smiled softly, setting her phone down and turning up the volume. Camila's eyes widened when she recognized the song.

"C'mere," Lauren laughed, holding out her hands and helping Camila to her feet. "Do you know how to dance?"

"No," Camila giggled, shaking her head and looking away shyly.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Lauren laughed, taking Camila's hands and placing them on her shoulders. "Just follow my lead, yeah?" she gently laid her hands on Camila's waist and slowly guided her torso to move in time with her own.

You look so wonderful in your dress
I love your hair like that
The way it falls on the side of your neck
Down your shoulders and back

We are surrounded by all of these lies
And people who talk too much
You got the kind of look in your eyes
As if no one knows anything but us

Should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me
'Cause all that you are is all that I'll ever need

I'm so in love, so in love
So in love, so in love

You look so beautiful in this light
Your silhouette over me
The way it brings out the blue in your eyes
Is the Tenerife Sea

And all of the voices surrounding us here
They just fade out when you take a breath
Just say the word and I will disappear
Into the wilderness

Should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me
'Cause all that you are is all that I'll ever need

I'm so in love, so in love
So in love, so in love

Lumière, darling
Lumière over me

Should this be the last thing I see
I want you to know it's enough for me
'Cause all that you are is all that I'll ever need

I'm so in love, so in love
So in love, love, love, love,
So in love

"I love you," Lauren whispered. Camila nodded, wrapping her arms further around Lauren's neck and closing the gap between them. Their lips met, making butterflies erupt in Lauren's stomach. There was something different about this kiss, as if it was sealing the deal.

"C'mon, goofball," Lauren laughed, bending down and scooping Camila up into her arms. The smaller girl giggled when Lauren carried her into the bedroom and laid her back on the bed. With a heavy sigh, Lauren collapsed on her back next to the girlfriend.

"We are getting married," Camila giggled. She couldn't get enough of those words. "I love you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Forever and ever and ever," she rolled on her side so she could face Lauren.

"Lo?" Camila whispered, suddenly feeling nervous. There was something different in the air. She couldn't put a name to it, thought. Lauren sat up slightly, sensing the change.

"Can I kiss you?" Camila asked softly, scooting forward and feeling her breathing slow down. Lauren nodded, their faces only inches apart. "Okay," Camila whispered. "I am going to kiss you now," she reached up to cup Lauren's cheek, closing the gap between them.
