"Let's spend a day at the park! You know, since the weather's decent and all." Liam suggested.

"Yeah, actually, that sounds really nice! It's not too warm out. But we're gonna have to actually get dressed."

"Obviously," Liam said sassily. The two boys then raced back up the stairs to Liam's room.

Isac picked out a light pair of jeans with a faded grey t-shirt and moved to the bathroom to change. Soon he re-entered the room to see Liam donning a black Green Day muscle shirt, a hoodie and a fitted pair of skinny jeans. Isac stared at an exposed and very well muscled shoulder Liam had failed at covering up. "Nice..." he found himself breathing out.

"Did you say something?" Liam asked.

"What? Uh, no, I didn't say anything," the now blushing boy stammered. Shit, did I actually say that out loud? Isac turned away and busied himself with tying his shoes.

Soon the two teenagers found themselves ready to go and at the door. Liam sent a message to his mother via text to let her know they would be out, as she was off doing something herself, then they proceeded outside into the mild outdoors.

"It's surprisingly brisk," Isac mentioned. He swiftly jutted a foot out to capture a leaf that was scuttling down the sidewalk in the breeze, then looked down and let it go sheepishly, chastising himself for his childish behavior. Even though he had known Liam for a good portion of his life, there was a part of himself that hoped Liam wouldn't judge him. Not that he thought Liam was the judging type, of course, because Liam was practically perfect... But he just wanted Liam to think that he was perfect too; he wanted to impress him.

"True." Liam's response surprised Isac, even though he had commented only a moment before. "I kinda like it, though!"

"Same. Well, then again, who doesn't like a bit of sweater weather?" Isac offered and almost absent-mindedly began to hum the appropriate tune of the popular song, "Sweater Weather". Without hesitation, Liam grinned and started singing a verse here and there.

"All I am... Is a man... Somethin', somethin'..." Isac laughed at his friend and began to sing broken lyrics with him, jumping around to face him. He started to dance all over the place, plastering on a goofy and lopsided smile, drawing out a hearty laugh from Liam. Eventually he trailed off.

"It's too cold, it's too cold... Eh, I forget the rest." They silently agreed to stop singing and steadily continued on their way to the park.

At one point on their walk, Isac picked a dandelion and held it out in front of his tall friend. "Make a wish." Liam squinted at the weed as if in thought, only to raise an eyebrow a second later and look from the dandelion to Isac.

"Isn't this a little girlish..?"

"Ah, whatever. Screw gender roles." Isac promptly replied. Liam flashed one of his signature smiles at that and took a deep breath. With a sharp exhale, dandelion seeds were scattered in the air. Isac watched a few drift away before dropping the stem.

"What did you wish for?" Isac inquired.

"If I told you then it wouldn't come true." Liam replied.

"Aww, shame. But I guess you can't argue with the laws of the universe!" Liam looked at his friend and let out a sort of scoff combined with a fart-noise.

"Indeed, the laws of the universe!" The taller boy waved his arms around and made whooshing noises. "Ooooh, the laaaaws of the univerrrrse!"

"Oh, shut up. You know it's true." Isac pelted Liam's shoulder with a few quick punches that didn't really do much.

"Fine. But we gotta work on your punching skills." Liam pointed out. "It's like... Hitting me with a piece of paper."

"Okay, but what if it was a really thick piece of paper rolled into a baseball bat shape or something?" The brunet countered.

"It would still be very ineffective." Liam patted the short boy on the shoulder consolingly.
"Yeah, I suppose so." Isac sighed. "Agh, it's not my fault my genetics graced me with my delicate stature!"
"Then it's not my fault I was blessed with my, uh, godly height and strength." Liam let out a snort and continued walking. Isac followed suit.

"True, true. We're pretty much at the park, though!" He gestured in front of them where you could see hints of tree-lined fields and people playing fetch with their dogs . They walked the rest of the length of the sidewalk ahead, and Isac headed over to one of the large evergreens in the middle of the field. Liam trailed close behind. As Isac neared the tree's base, he glanced around and immediately tensed up.
Placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, Liam closed the distance between them. "Woah, what is it? You okay?" The concern in his voice was obvious.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Isac replied immediately. He started to scale the trunk by using the abundant branches, gaining several feet in a few number of seconds. PLEASE don't let them have seen me... He clenched his jaw and kept his focus on the tree.

"Woah, look who we ran in to!" A shout snaked its way into the friends' ears.

Shit, shit, no, please do not let this be happening! Isac closed his eyes and sighed. "What do you want?" He demanded dryly, but stayed faced to the tree. Out of the corner of his eye he could see two figures walk under the tree cover with them.
"Can't family just say hello every once in a while?" The male voice said coolly and a female voice snickered. Liam looked up at Isac with a look of confusion.Isac turned around to look at the new boy fully.

"Not when it's you, no. What are you two even doing here anyway, Nate?" He replied sharply. His feet moved back down the branches with precision and soon reached the ground. In front of them were two kids around their age-a boy wearing baggy clothing who nearly reached the height of Liam, and a girl slightly taller than Isac clinging to the other boy's arm.

"Am I also not allowed to take my girlfriend on a date?" Isac rolled his eyes at the comment. He was with a new girl practically every week. "Is this your boyfriend over here I see? You've always been a fag."

Fingers trembling and voice wavering, Isac replied. "He's not my boyfrie-"

"Did you really just call him that?!" Liam took a protective step forward and cut his friend off. "I don't care who the hell you are, but you have NO RIGHT to call him that. Nor anyone else for that matter!" Isac could see Liam's fists clenching.

"Chill, chill!" Nate responded, but there was a sense of uneasiness in his voice. He stood up to his full height, which still did not match Liam's. "You can't beat me up for saying the truth, now can you?" Isac looked down and bit his lip to fight tears.

At that you could practically see Liam's veins burst out of his skin. He charged toward Nate, who quickly moved aside his "girlfriend". His eyes widened out of fear as a fist materialized next to his face, then made contact with a thwack.

"Ohmygod," Isac breathed. He rushed to Liam's side and looked down at his cousin, who had been knocked onto the patchy grass.

Blood rushed from Nate's nose and down his chin, dripping onto his shirt and the grass. The girl to the side gasped and put her hands over her mouth, looking around as if confused what to do.

"Dude you fuckin' broke by dose!" A distorted cry rang out. Nate climbed to his feet and glared at Liam.

Liam returned the look and spat, "You had it coming, asshole. Who cares if you're relatives, I will destroy you if you torment Isac again."

"Whad the hell? You're both freaks of dature! Let's ged oud of here..." He grabbed the stunned girl by the arm and dragged her as he walked off, blood still spouting from his nose. She stumbled a few times, and he glanced over his shoulder in a paranoid manner.

"Good luck finding a tissue!" Liam called tauntingly after them.

Isac leaned up against the tree and chewed on his knuckle, the tight feeling in his throat reappearing. His breath came in fast shallow bursts.

The rage slowly fading from his body, Liam turned his attention back to Isac. "Oh my god, are you alright?! That's a stupid question. You probably aren't?" He pulled his friend into a hug, who then could no longer hold in his sobs. They escaped erratically, like when you can't control your breathing but you try to keep it quiet anyway.

A/N: Hey, it's been a while! (Again.) Sorry for all the angst, I just had the idea and I was like "okay cool". So yeah, what do you think will happen..? *spooky arm movements*
