How can I tell you I'm broken, when I see the sadness in your eyes?
The words sit heavy, unspoken, as I watch your spirits fall and rise.
You're feeling blue, a shade I know well, a color that paints my world too.
But how can I my own sorrow tell, when I'm trying to be strong for you?
We're both adrift in this sea of pain, two ships passing in the night.
I long to share my storm and rain, but fear it might dim your light.
Is there room for both our griefs?
Can we hold each other's tears?
Or would my confession bring relief, or simply multiply our fears?
Perhaps in silence, we both pretend, that we're stronger than we are.
But what if, my dear, dear friend, we showed each other every scar?
For in our brokenness, we might find, a strength that binds us tight.
Two fractured souls, intertwined, might help each other shine bright.
So let me whisper, "I'm not okay," and hear you echo the same.
For in sharing our blues today, we might rekindle hope's flame.
