NEXT DAY
Esmari slowly woke up on the bed, she kept blinking her eyes and stood up looking around the room, seeing a few girls on beds.
"guys she's awake!" a younger girl whispered making the others stand and stood near her bed.
"w-where am I?" esmari spoke worriedly and looked around for her bag which was next on the bottom of her bed.
"um u at a foster home, what's your name you look new" one of them asked.
"mari"
"hey that's a pretty name, people call me summer, this is jules, ja'vena, mimi, and destiny, she's also new but she doesn't talk at all" summer explained and esmari looked at the girls and awkwardly smiled.
"what made you come here?" another asked.
"i don't really remember.. the last thing I remember was sleeping in a bus"
"you got kidnapped?" ja'vena asked with a confused look.
"I- I don't think so" esmari spoke, she was tryna figure out how she ended up here.

"um what is foster?"
"you don't know what a foster home is?" ja'vena looked at her confused.
"is basically a place for kids without a home to go to.." Jules spoke while adjusting her glasses.
"but I have a home, I just don't want to live there"
"sooo you a running away?" ja'vena glared at her.
"i left home to look for my real mother.. my auntie kept her away from me and sent her to nursery home? i shouldn't be here, I need to look for my mother, she needs me" esmari spike and they were all silent and looked at eachother.
"girl your auntie sound like she a physcopath" Mimi spoke and shook her head.
"she's not a good person" esmari spoke lowly, and the girls looked at eachother after seeing esmari's marks around her neck, exepct summer, she was in her world.
"hey girls, look like y'all are already up, breakfast is ready for y'all to eat"
everyone got up and left the room exepct esmari. "hello there you must be new to foster home" the lady spoke with an accent and smiled as esmari. She thought she was pretty, she was short, a little chubby, had blonde long curly and was latina.
"why am I here?" Esmari spoke. "my husband is a bus driver, he found you sleeping in the back of the bus and we both decided to take somewhere safe... do you have somewhere to live?"
"no" she mumbled, she didn't wanted to go back home.
"that's okay, you can stay with us as long as you like" she smiled at esmari and she smiled and nodded.
"oh!- and my name is ms. Lopez, we can get you changed up before you have breakfast okay?" ms Lopez grabs esmari hands and takes her out of her dorms, to the storage room where they keep everything.
esmari stood in the corner fiddling with her fingers as she felt nervous. "come on in" ms. Lopez spoke lightly and esmari slowly approached the storage room.
"we don't have enough but you can keep this, and here is your sanitary bag and I believe you don't know the rules.."
"I don't.."
"from 8 to 10AM you have your breakfast, then 3PM is lunch and 7 PM is dinner time, you are allowed to be out of this area or go to public spaces but not until 8:15 PM and you are not allowed to drink or smoke inside or outside this area, got it?" ms Lopaz spoke softly and esmari nodded.
"If you need any questions mija jus let me know okay?"
"umm-okay..thank you" esmari grabbed her stuff and made her way back to the room.
she walked to the bathroom being next to their dorms and went inside hoping to take a shower.

8:25 PM
esmari read her book as she layed on her bed, she looked around the older girls, wearing shorts and tanks tops, and wore makeup and did their hair.
at first she was confused after seeing them lay on their beds. Esmari decided to mind her business and continued reading her book.
she looks up seeing ms lopez coming in. "goodnight ladies". She spoke before tuning off the lights.
as soon as she close the door the older girls got up on put on their shoes.
"are you guys going sumwhere?" Esmari asked softly and they're whole attention was on her.
"we jus- mimi" ja'vena cut her off and eyed her. "She won't tell vena, right?" mimi spoke looking at esmari shook her head no, she wasn't the type of person to expose somebody else's business.
"we going out to see our friends, you can come if you want?"
"what if we get cuaght"
"we never get caught, you don't have to though" Mimi smiled, seeing esmari being worried.
"no I want to"
"ight girl then get dressed"
"I don't have much clothes.." esmari spoke looking at her clothes options, and the clothes ms Lopez gave her wasn't that good.
"um... you can wear those sweatpants, and you can where my long sleeve top?" Mimi said picking esmari's outfit and helping her change.
"les quickly do your hair.. vena can we borrow your gel?"
"yeah go head" ja'vena mumbled waiting on the side of the door.
mimi was a few inches taller than esmari so she brushed her hair up into a ponytail and did her edges.
"you want your makeup done?"
"she doesn't need it" ja'vena spoke looking at esmari.
"okay.. come on mari" mimi said, ja'vena slowly opened the door while Mimi and esmari followed along.
they went through the back door and left the house. "here they are" ja'vena smirked as she saw black car with guys waiting infront of the house.
esmari was hesitant at first, she didn't know who these people were.
"who she?" a lightskin guy asked while pointing as esmari as they all sat at the back.
"this is mari, she's new..mari this is grey and biggie"
"she talk?" grey asked raisin his brow.
"I do talk" esmari spoke then straight ahead.
"I thought my man was driving" ja'vena mumbled crossing her arms, she couldn't wait to see her "man" that she's been crushing all over on.
"girl bye yall not even dating" Mimi laughed.
"shut uppuhh!" ja'vena yelled.
"quit allat yellin mane" biggie spoke and esmari jumped, she never expected his voice to be that deep.
few moments later they arrive at some building, that look like an apartment. as Mimi open the door, Esmari followed her out and closed the door.
biggie open the door and they all walked in. Esmari could smell strong scent of weed.
"don't be shy lil girl u can sit" grey spoke and esmari slowly walked to the couch and sat down.
esmari looked around seeing a few red drinks ontop of the table, and white powder, which she didn't know what it was.
"is there any more weed left?"
"yeah I gotchu" biggie grabbed one packet of weed and gave mimi and grey to handle it.
"you smoke?" grey asked esmari.
"I dont smoke"
"you never smoke?" ja'vena scoffed
"be quiet vena..you don't have to if youn want to"
"i want to try" esmari spoke and Mimi nodded.
"anywayssss"
esmari heard the door unlock and see two guys coming in, one of them eyeing esmari. "ayyy is shawty from da store" he spoke and esmari rolled her eyes heavily.
"what is he talking about?" Mimi looked at the both of them.
"he always keeps on teasing me"
"ian teasing shawty I was jus playing" he deeply smirked. "prince she don't want your broke ass so stop talking to her" Mimi spoke rolling her eyes.
esmari looked at the other guy who's eyes were already on her and she looked away quickly, she didn't say anything to him, as he had a natural mug on his face and thought he was scary.
"hey mar" ja'vena spoke lightly as she looked up at him and smiled, now that he's attention was on ja'vena, esmari had a good look at him, she thought he looked familiar.. like he was the guy she met at the basketball courts.
"yo" he mumbled not paying attention and sat down next to at the opposite side of esmari as the was the only sit available.
"you new?" mar asked straight away with a straight face.
"me?" esmari spoke pointing at herself
"yea you" he spoke back, esmari was hesitant.
"yes I am"
"was your name?"
"mari"
"mari?" he repeated.
"did she studder nigga?" prince spoke eyeing the both of them.
"fuck up I wasn't talking to you" he sucked his teeth and went back on his phone.
as they were talking and taking hits from the bong, esmari had caught mar glaring at her for some time but she didn't say anything.
"here" Mimi passed the bong over to esmari but Prince was able to snatch the bong off of her.
"fuck u doin?" Mimi mugged.
"she ain takin a hit off my bong, she don't know how to smoke anywhere brah" prince eyed esmari and she rolled her eyes.
"quit acting childish nigga this ain't cho weed" mar eyed him as he snatches the bong of him and passes it to esmari.
"thank you" she said softly. "held onto that side, and turn the lighter on" Mimi spoke while showing her how to use the bong.
esmari did what she was told and she inhales all the smoke, than began to cough heavily"
"u okay?" mimi who was already high laughed while tapping her back and esmari nodded as her cough reduced.

SAME NIGHT
1:34 AM
"PUT ME DOWN GREYY!!" Mimi spoke, grey had her over his shoulder, after mimi had smacked him hard on the face.
"SAY U SORRY"
"IGHT IM SORRY DAMNN" Grey laughed and put her down, then she pushed him away.
"y'all acting like couples" biggie laughed and Mimi eyed him and pushed him away.
"we make a good couple ain't it" grey licked his lips as he looks at mimi and she waved him away.
"boy shut the fuck uppp and leave me alone"
"you know you can't leave me alone ma" grey had his arm over her chest and kissed her neck making Mimi's stomach twitch.
"mm-u know ion wanna be witchu nomore so stop!" mimi spoke while pushing grey of her and walks away.
"yo home girl passed the fuck out" biggie pointed at esmari who layed on the couch.
mimi looked to the other side seeing ja'vena and mar coming out of the same room. She didn't say anything after mar zipped his pants up.
"wha happen to her?" mar spoke and mugged his face.
"she drank too much den started crying bout ha mums and now she passed out" biggie explained as he laughed.
"what time is it.. fuck it's almost 2 we gotta head out" mimi stood up and walked over to esmari to wake her up.
"I'll take y'all back" grey insisted and Mimi nodded, mar walked over to picked up esmari. They carefully head out to the car.
as grey unlocks the car, mar carefully puts her inside and his eyes widen after seeing a pink bracelet on her wrist that looked exactly the same like his but was green.
he couldn't believe who this was.
